Black ops 1 is legit perfect and came out of nowhere with its theme and storyline. Everyone can predict a ww2 game or space wars or even a modern shooter. But what black ops 1 did is something I that would merit either a short live action series or movie.
AW was a great campaign love how they brought you into the exo suit universe and the world building was amazing ill never forget the golden gate bridge mission

AW's story wasn't captivating, too simple, straightforward and predictable. I could tell Kevin Spacey's character was evil from the start. The gameplay however, was good.
i enjoyed mw3's campaign just wish shg werent crunched and given more time like mararovs control the narrative scheme with more time could have made him a villian icon of the franchise. i never understood why makarov was so sought after in the og games and in mw3 he had a backstory and goals to achieve where to me he felt like a boogyman as opposed to sheppard in the og. i really hope mw4 takes makarov to that menendez esc iconic level.
The ghosts campaign could honestly be boiled down to the sins of the father trope. The characters we play as suffer the consequences of their fathers actions towards Rourke.
I am not gonna lie chat infinite warefare campaign was good .. the thing that was bad was the actor for Kit Harington isn't showen alot in the campaign like more cutscenes or dialogues would be nice
20:00 how ironic, the mission name was literally VENDETTA 🤣 World at war was a fantastic and vicious portrayal of WWII. In reality there were no ‘personal vendettas’, this is war, it was about survival and doing your part.
I thought it was a great list and i'm glad Infinite Warfare was included. Its underrated and fantastic campaign. Easily the best campaign since Black Ops 2, imo.
I freakin' loved Infinite Warfare's campaign. Clearly one of the best COD campaigns because they blended the Sci-Fi and tactical gameplay really well and you had some freedom with selecting a variety of missions which gave it a bit of a open world feel to it. The set pieces and attention to detail with the futuristic look of the game was top notch. I played it as a tactical Sci-Fi game, not a COD game despite the game mechanics feeling the same.
Ink the iw campaign is one of the most underrated also if u are getting into easter eggs iw zombies just as good if not better than bo3 bcoz each map is a different decade each map has a different celebrity and it's good to enjoy a zombies game without the whole richtofen story arch

If we could tie call of duty ghost to Simon Riley, maybe in some world we can get that Simon Riley knew everything about the original ghost because he was on that ghost team during that war but once everything happened, he ended up leaving I don't know exactly the details, but if we could tie call of duty, ghost Simon Riley, and incorporate modern warfare I'll be down Simon Riley versus roarke
for the best story would be something related to the Cold War.. that's why i enjoyed BOPs Cold War so much... but i think if it was scaled down a bit it would be better... COD tends to make everything big, you know, like global conflict and what not.. i think if you localize the conflict it could be more enjoyable... something about 2 neighboring countries and tension between them, and the use of secret police and other clandestine operation agencies would be cool.
I think ur reaction to Infinite Warfare makes sense if u havent replayed it since. Certain pieces of art have this kinda effect where they grow on people but for the time of the release it was a normal reaction. This happened with IW, the game comes after Advanced and BO3 so it was a very fatiguing time setting-wise. Looking back Infinite Warfare is experienced much better in the current COD climate.

I feel like people are conflating good story with good game. No doubt a good story can elevate a game, but ultimately what holds a 'game' up is its gameplay. I actually think the original CoD2 campaign is a massive sleeper hit in this regard. People may write it off now, but having replayed it last fall I was surprised how well the gameplay experience actually held up. It is, after all, where this essentially all started.
But I think this was a great video I just think call of duty campaign need to change how they right some of the campaigns to have more scenarios that aren't always bad vs good!

i don't think the theme of COD Ghost is about family... i think that is kind of incidental, it's something that tends to happen in military families... if your parents were in the military sometimes children tend to follow.. to me it seemed like the theme of COD Ghost is a bit complex... i think it has to do with revenge... i think Rork is taking revenge becasue he was left behind and in the spec comunity that is definitely not something they do, so to him it might have been like a big betrayal... and also, spec ops tend to be portrait as individuals who cannot be broken, so whatever they did to Rork obviously worked, but it's kind of crazy that someone like him, with tremendous willpower can still be broken...

Cod IW campaign is severely underrated, multiplayer is trash but the story is pretty good ( main characters do all the lifting here )
