Great to see you again online Chris. As usual you have given a great example to follow with this exercise. Many thanks for the time you have given to this.
Great exercise and explanation! Thanks so much for sharing this. Another thing to try for folks struggling with this: I’ve found that many students can fix their double buzz by checking their mouthpiece angle and embouchure placement, using mouthpiece buzzing as a reference point for ideal angle/placement. Often, tuba and chair ergonomics lead to compromised posture, etc. and the mouthpiece angle can be significantly off from the buzzing reference (often too “upstream” or “downstream”). I recall hearing about Jacobs helping Bobo get through a double buzz problem this way.
I had such a problem with this about two years ago, it’s nice that people have a quick way to just knock that double buzz trash out of their sound
I’m hoping it helps a lot of players!
Man, I never realized how much I’ve missed these exercise videos!
Your encouragement is appreciated!
Thank you Chris for your kindness and generosity! It was amazing, a blast! Please, come back! :D
I will!!!

Great exercise! It’s been a while I do agree but we’re glad your back to making more amazing content!
I hope to keep some momentum going this year. Health problems and work schedule have made it difficult. Thanks for the support!
I’m always amazed how you create musical drills to improve, develop, and solve problems.
Thanks for the kind words! Music is always the solution to mechanical problems…
