    I had such a problem with this about two years ago, it’s nice that people have a quick way to just knock that double buzz trash out of their sound

    Great exercise and explanation! Thanks so much for sharing this. Another thing to try for folks struggling with this: I’ve found that many students can fix their double buzz by checking their mouthpiece angle and embouchure placement, using mouthpiece buzzing as a reference point for ideal angle/placement. Often, tuba and chair ergonomics lead to compromised posture, etc. and the mouthpiece angle can be significantly off from the buzzing reference (often too “upstream” or “downstream”). I recall hearing about Jacobs helping Bobo get through a double buzz problem this way.
