Never thought I'd say this but thank god for the Assassin's Creed set, there being a section of this that's just history questions meant that I got my all-time high score on a Magic the Questioning episode: nine points! Six of which came from Ready, Set, Quiz
I think I got 5 points. but regardless, I reward 1,000 points to the creator of this quiz! all the research, all nerdery, I especially liked the brutally difficult real world questions! bravo!
There was some unintended wiggle room in the way that I answered which makes my final score up for debate, but I'm pretty sure I got _Questioned Authority_ . I answered _Godzilla_ for the first question because I thought you were asking for the name of the IP, as the question threw me off. I answered "P/T" for _Grima Wormtongue_ , which I could have made more granular. I didn't start playing until 2016 or so, but I somehow guessed "Trollshroud" off of knowing that Shroud came before Hexproof and that Hexproof first showed up on _Ageless Ascetic_ , which apparently was the nickname for it judging from other comments. I liked that you asked about history for _Assassin's Creed_ rather than the card mechanics, as I couldn't be "assed" to look through the set 😂😂😂; I got the "Battle of Thermopylæ", but I answered "Alexandria", the seat of Ptolemaic rule rather than the name of the period, and I had heard the name of the monastery before but couldn't be bothered to memorize a long Italian place name. I had no idea about the Socrates question, as I've read some of his writing and studied his influence on classical philosophy, but don't know a lot about his life.

For the hexproof one I think my answer of Bogle should also be an acceptable answer as it was the name of the premier modern deck featuring the card and using it as part of its strategy. I think the deck was placed after the hexproof was keyworded given the other cards it had to run to make the deck function but still highlights the importance of the card and relationship to the keyword.
I get what you're saying about Wheel of Potential, but it doesn't seem quite right. Declaring any number for X is part of the cost like "as an additional cost to cast this spell". Whatever number you declare for X must be paid as part of the cost.
Yes, but the second part for the card is a seperate trigger and (as written) doesn't actually check to see if you've paid it, all it looks to see is what you declared X to be. You just have to state X as any number whether you intend to pay it or not rules as written
@@RedBobcatGames But declaring X to be anything the cost has to be paid. Would be weird to be able to declare X to be more than 0 but not have to pay. I get what you're saying, though. And maybe they're working off of people understanding the intent like they did with Serra Paragon (which still hasn't been changed.) As for me, the second trigger checks what amount of X was paid, not declared.
I hear you and you're right, but they still had to come out and had to clarify how it's supposed to function because it was an error. They've not said exactly how they're fixing it yet (as far as I'm aware) so not sure if either the card will get an errata or if the rules need to be changed, but there was a lot of confusion when the card came out for the exact reason mentioned. I get what you're saying, because it's obvious what the intention of the card is, but going by the letter of the rules that's not how it functioned.
4+2+2+0 (thank american education system)+0x2= 16 dont dodge the last place role but I at least feel happy i got art attack (for a long time i thought i wont get it) Highlight for me was "what red and green planeswalker" and I was like "its either name+number or just name", i guess poorly. also never new hexproof was called that. Just the dumbest yet coolest name. Also the bit of "these question are easy" getting at the host made me laugh.
Bruh I thought I did terrible but turns out 34 is above par here. I just found out about “bounty county” and the power misprint this morning too, those came in clutch.
with your mention of Shroud and super shround for Hexproof... i understood why shroud on lightning greaves could be a thing. If opponents have a spell that says they choose vaction for your turn, they could then target the character if not for shroud. Could this be why people love lightning greaves? Cuz i do not like the idea of not being able to target my own characters... in UpperDeck VS System 2004 we didn't have shourd be we had "this character can't be the target of effects or powers of your opponents"
I think shrouds just a throwback to an old mechanic before they really narrowed down the way to make it work which they felt was most fun. Like how Regenerate has kind of been repalced by indestructible
I feel there was some deeper point i missed. What was purple going to say? I always love these quizzes but like the contestants feel i don’t quite know what’s going on either. Regardless it’s fantastic. Love the design and graphics as always.

Oof pretty terrible 30 from me! Well put together as always
30 is not terrible my friend. These were tough this time, 30 is incredible. Well played!
36 - I managed to double my score!
Nice! Congrats, that's a really good score!
I got 1 point. Sol Ring.
First one of these I did, I got like 5 points I think? I'm getting worse! :D
In fairness, this has been the hardest one so far
2 because i got the art and sol ring 💀
The best use of the double points I've seen so far. Well played
32! thanks bobcat
No no, thank you. And congrats, that's a really good score!
14 points, scoring 8 of them in the thumbnail+round 1. Lost, but seeking... the next quiz!
A few more weeks yet, but it's quite a good one from what I know's in it so far. And well played
Zealous inquisitor with 26 points. I got nothing in the 4th section and only 1 in the 3rd 😢
Hey that's not bad at all though. Well played!
@@RedBobcatGames my lack on interest in the newer sets really got me. This was fun tho!
Glad you enjoyed!
19! New personal best. 8 points were due to blind guesses, though, so it's really a bare roll of 11 plus 8 luck.
It all counts though! Well played!
4+ 4 + 4 + 6 + 4 and X2 (but this art was super blurry) : 22 you sure have gone for harder questions this time!
Yeah, these ones were tough. I'm going to try and tone it tone, well played though that's a good score considering!
@@RedBobcatGames being a story buff gave me some points.
I'm the same, though I still think these are hard haha
44 Questioned Authority. Jokes on you I knew my history, but then flunked the erratas.
Well you could say Erratas are just the history of the cards haha. But 44's a great score, well played!
4+2+2+0 (thank american education system)+0x2= 16 dont dodge the last place role but I at least feel happy i got art attack (for a long time i thought i wont get it)
Highlight for me was "what red and green planeswalker" and I was like "its either name+number or just name", i guess poorly. also never new hexproof was called that. Just the dumbest yet coolest name.
Also the bit of "these question are easy" getting at the host made me laugh.
Yeah, Blue's got a mouth on him haha. And congrats on the score, this one was rough so that's impressive
Judge! Would "Hellenistic Egypt" have counted instead of "Ptolemaic Kingdom"?
You really REALLY don't want to speak to the judge in these quizzes
@@RedBobcatGames I'll take it as a "Yes if you don't ask"!
For the best honestly
At around 6:50 the video cuts to a history exam, is anybody else having this problem?
Sorry, must be technical difficulties
36 points, really got saved by the art attack! Haven't hit Questioned Authority tier yet, but I will one day!
I read your comments in reverse order! Reading this is more fun now i know you got there
Easily my worst score so far
I got 12
That's 12 more than 0! And this is tough, so i say well played!
22. I'm getting worse. 😢 The Benjamin Button of MtG quiz scoring.
Ha! This made me laugh very loudly. And 22's okay, especially as this is one of the hardest ones. Well played!
Good video
Thank you very much! Good comment!
I got 16 points. Felt bad missing Sol Ring, I assumed it was Mana Crypt as a trick question! Fun quiz though c:
I'd have to be pretty mean to put a trick question round 1! 16 points is good though, this one was very tough. Well played
10 points here, this one felt way harder than the last one
Yeah, it really was. I'm going to try and tone it down a bit. 10 points is good considering, well played
Bruh I thought I did terrible but turns out 34 is above par here. I just found out about “bounty county” and the power misprint this morning too, those came in clutch.
Oh yeah, and this is one of the harder ones too. Well played!
I got a 64, but admittedly exactly half of my score rides on exactly too many copies of All Will Be One that my friend owns.
Hey it all counts though, congrats!
I got the first right !!! I am new to MTG, january 2024...
but i know...
...
SOL RING !!!
Darn I got ponder too ! Thanks to my commander deck with BIL POTTS from doctor who on the card PonderRépondre
Ayyy, congrats! These are tough in this one so any correct answer is a win. Well played!
with your mention of Shroud and super shround for Hexproof... i understood why shroud on lightning greaves could be a thing.
38!
An incredible score considering how tough these were. Well played
I feel there was some deeper point i missed. What was purple going to say? I always love these quizzes but like the contestants feel i don’t quite know what’s going on either. Regardless it’s fantastic. Love the design and graphics as always.
I've been asked to inform you that nothing is going on and that no one should look deeper
@@RedBobcatGames of course! 😂
when they made sokrates, did they make up Diogenes and have him throw a featherless chicken character spell called "plato'S man" ??
Man, I wish I educated enough understood this joke
28
A very good score, congrats
48 so I am still a questioned athurtiy, but I have question. What should I do if I have time and a half acomodations a school to answer questions?
Oh that's easy. Pause it my friend! Or play it at a slower speed. Which ever you find easier. And well done on the score, that's good considering how tough these are
This is genius.
Which bit? If it's the quiz you like I have a few more in the series up already, and a new one out each month
Zealous inquisitor with a POWERFUL 24. Kudos to the Assassin's Creed round. Please don't do it again.
Yeah, that one was out of my hands I'm afraid. Lets hope Blue's less lippy from now on
Oh, and congrats on the score btw. This was a tough one, so that's impressive
I got 13 :(
Nothing wrong with 13. These are rough this time so 13's impressive honestly. Well played
13.
Pretty considering how tough this one was. Well played
Well zealous inquisitor, thanks to the history questions. But anyways great quiz
You're more than welcome, and that's a good score. Well played!
I like this
Thank you, I liked making it too
I got 7, including Gozilla :/
Hey, that's good considering how tough these are. Well played
24, I normally do better but I wasn't aware there would be a history quiz in the middle which made me sad
Yeah, this one was tough. 24's a good score though. Well played!
@@RedBobcatGames yeah I went through the old ones and 24-30 was actually fairly average, I had one 40 something so its not so bad.
@@WarlockCD Oh well then well done again. I do one a month, and the next one's out in a couple of weeks (I think)
18
Well played. That's impressive considering how tough this one was
…I got 20….
That's good! Some of these are really hard! Well played!
@@RedBobcatGames lmao this was a hilarious video installment of this series. I think the complainers have learned their lesson lol.
Thank you, I have a lot of fun making these
OOOOF, only 22 points
Hey that's not bad. These were hard this time. Well played
22...
That's impressive considering how tough these ones were. Well played!
8 points on my end. Oof
These were tough, that's still respectable. Well played!
@@RedBobcatGames thanks I appreciate the sentiment my dude.
No worries, I appriciate people taking time to these quizzes. I really like making them (and they never do well in terms of views) so the feedback is always great to read
5:51 I know FOR A FACT it was known as "trollshroud" this is bull
I got exactly 40 after Doubling so getting this right wouldn't have changed my result
@@Roll-Penut I'm hearing word that "If you can prove it, you can have the points"
I got 4 points lmao😭
4 points better than none! Well played I say
8 oof this was a bad one
Yeah this one was VERY rough. Next one's not as bad. Well played though
14
Well played. These are tough this time so that's a good score
5
Well I still say well played!
