I remember watching Rio's debut and people were wondering if he was a girl just because of his voice when he sings. His normal talking voice is more masculine though.
There seriously needs to be a Hololive Productions concert where Holostars and Hololive come together for a joint concert experience. It would be amazing to see all of Hololive together to make a massive celebration of everything Cover has put together
I want to see it too but as a Holopro fan i will say that it will just bring a lot more trouble especially to Holostar side than good (but if it is just with ID and some of JP and En that already familiar with Holostar, it's possible)
@@thediamndjvckI feel Brendon overuse his high notes to a point its no longer impressive and its kinda annoying to listen to. Specially on viva las vengeance
Rio’s voice is absolutely cracked and i’m so happy that people are noticing and appreciating his singing! He worked his darndest to get to his skill level now. From what i know, he went through quite a bit of trauma with his voice. Even though he loved singing, he didn’t audition using his singing because of it. But after he got in, he was encouraged to sing for his debut and now here we are!! The boy deserves a lot of love.
I remember being in the choir in an all-boys high school and having a soprano clubmate, so guys like Rio aren't that much of a surprise to me. And for a time, I even wanted to have a higher voice. I'm glad to have people helping me appreciate what I have as much as I appreciate what others have, then. And on that note: Bae, you just brought me back to your power vocals in your RAD DOGS cover with Sora, Iofi, Rio, and Axel.
I was watching the two sides at the same time, and, I'm not gonna lie, the Holostars side, despite being shorter and started later, felt more impactful and emotional to me than the the Hololive side, even when the Shuffle was happening.
It’s the underdog effect, even as a primarily Hololive viewer, if I’m forced to choose who to root for and support I’d definitely choose the stars bois because they absolutely deserve every ounce of support and exposure. It’s just that their lightning-in-a-bottle hasn’t appeared yet and if it did, it’s incomparable with Hololive’s thunder.
The subjective parts aside, I think one factor is that Holostars just has a higher percentage of great singers overall. Hololive has a lot more members, but few of them really are the top notch singers(off the top of my head, Suisei, AZKi, Sora, IRyS) There are members good with the right song, but a comparatively low percentage of them are able to perform well in ANY song. On the other hand, just in StarsJP's 9 members alone, you have Rikka, Astel and Izuru. The 3 of them can sing any song well. Thats a whooping 1/3 of the group. With Uproar's addition, Rio joins the ranks of the group's top singers, resulting in them having 4 strong singers for a 13-man group, that is still almost 1/3 of the group. This is especially evident in the anniversary covers, note how in Blessing and Painter, Rikka/Astel/Izuru are the ones to be the leading vocals for the climax of the songs, in Connecting its the 3 of them and Rio.
@@junsengjs Also, even the other boys who aren't quite up there with the big 4 aren't "bad" singers by any means. Stars like Miyabi, Gamma, Temma and Shien have improved so much over the course of these last two years and they sang their parts very well.
TBF, I'm also jealous of Rio's vocal range cause it's insane xD In all seriousness, whenever I get a chance to hop into one of his karaokes it's always amazing.
bae is one of if not the most based talents in holoen for supporting holostars like she supports hololive we need more talents to be comfortable supporting the boys bc they get so much hate from their own fanbase (looking at you, fwmc fans)
Ppl think it's impossible for a man to do that note. Hakka can hit it too, Mafumafu, Miyashita yuu and more Search しゃけみ (Shakemi) ch hitting G5+ in Hatsune Miku high range test Guiness world record got male hitting the highest notes
If I remember correctly, male vocal range is actually higher and wider than the female vocal range. Another thing I may have remember reading is that men tend to neglect the resonance and timbre, the areas needed to be trained to achieve such high voices.
Am very sure he is a man who identify as such, i remember once he was telling he kinda hated his voice for not being manly but he learn to accept it and embrace it
@@kebb0 I wrote my piece exactly for these types of pointless comments speculating about voice changers and whatnot. Rio is a guy. Multiple stars members have confirmed it. Rio himself has talked about male only experiences growing up, has asserted his identity multiple times and talked about how he finds the constant speculation very annoying. He has offcollabed with people who have shared the same mic with him with no discernable differences in the voices of either person. And it is very much possible for male voices to be that high: I follow a definite male EN indie whose voice is actually somewhat higher than Rio's. These attempts at "clocking" Rio are seriously rude, distasteful and completely ignorant.
@@kebb0 Right, well I don't really care if you're a music teacher or not, if you watched Rio's streams or understood a lick of JP, you would know he's a guy which is why I referenced him talking about his past experiences. Like I said, his normal speaking voice isn't even that high and you're forgetting that these performances are not live and may be subject to post tuning. The note he hit (E6) is very difficult for male singers, but hardly impossible. And no, Uyu doesn't use a voice changer either. Once again, what you are engaging in is the type of pointless, ignorant speculation about Uyu and Rio that they would hate.

His singing voice is women ww

True, but it's unlikely to happen in a few years.
Not a dedicated one, but some live members appear in a stars concert as guests and vice versa. It's uncommon but it happens.
Unfortunately, the main thing that is making this hard are the certain parts of the Hololive community.

Ghost boi back at it again with the killer vocals. It's always a pleasure to hear Rio sing
Honestly, both Rio and Astel never fail to give me chills with their amazing vocals
he did fooled several people on the VCR GTA server 🤣also 0:37 damn Astel, chill holy
Rio's legit got one of my favourite singing voices among the Holostars. I always look forward to seeing him appear on stage.

Countertenor???
