Love my decorative cover minders! I have several of those metal tins from Target on my desk with various dp tools and I put cute cover minders all around 😁.
I use parchment paper squares and work on a flat surface. Needless to say the paper cannot be taped down. :) I need smooth cover minders and have 5. Love them.
I just cut 3 3/4" squares out of parchment paper and replace the cover. I have figured on my last/first kit (hey I'm new!) That one square takes me 2 hrs.
One thing to watch out for if you are using washi tape as a coverminder is to check periodically that the washi tape bit you're useing is still sticky. I had an incedent last night where I had moveed the peice of washi tape to a new section that was almost entirely undrilled, and got called away from my project. When I got back I found that the washi tape adhesive had failed, and the cover had gone back over the adhesive, and it was quite the struggle to get the canvas's adhesive to let go of the washi tape. Going to be making my own cover minders sooner than I thought.
