4-5 briquettes of match lite carried in a ziplock bag makes for excellent wet wood fire starter, gives you flame fuel and a small coal bed, saves a lot of time and trouble, weighs nothing, and is no more “cheating” than any other fire starter. Good video. Keep ‘em coming.

Ahhh the classic Knorr side dish meal! I've had every single variation of them and still enjoy them. A friend told me that it was all in my head, that I was hungry and tired, that it wasn't THAT good, but I know how good it is to get a hot meal after walking all day.

Thanks Ray! In reality this is totally the way to do it, but some viewers like seeing firewood get processed. So sometimes I do it and stack it. Even though a pile of random logs works completely fine lol

Thanks so much Tommy! My three main knots are: Taut-line hitch, Canadian Jam Knot (also called an Arbor Knot) and the prusik knots. They are all pretty easy. Also check out a truckers hitch. Another good video Sam, thanks for bringing us along. Something I do with the guy lines is to have the taught-line hitch on the tent/tarp side of the guy line (and a bowline at the stake) - that way if I have to retighten, I’m not running out so far. Have a great day.

Nice location anywhere in Michigan to camp and great tarp I have that one and a brown from Gold Armour 10by 12 foot great tarps for a hammock.Have fun stay safe.
