And with another big one on the horizon through the Minecraft 1.18 caves and cliffs update part 2, Skip the Tutorial decides to focus on the little tweaks and changes Mojang could make to improve the game. 4:05 an idea my friend and I thought of was " wither bone meal " basically if wither skeletons dropped their own wither bones, or something, then it could turn into wither bone meal that can grow nether wart and used on like " warped" nether rack to spread to other nether rack blocks like moss
There is a mod for this! I'm using it in my server! It was a great idea.
That's a really good idea. Maybe the wither bone meal can also do the opposite of regular bone meal, and shrink plants instead of growing them.

I would have loved the idea of adding chained minecarts. The way they work is by pushing the chained minecart to a regular minecart and they work just like a train

Something I'd like to see from jukeboxes is when you get close to them and they begin to play, any music in the background also gets quieter so the two songs don't close.
I designed an automatic random music player with redstone at my base. You can put in a playlist of disks and it has a 20 second cool down between each one. I also use music players as ride timers in my amusement park rides. I love em just the way they are.

I want to be able to enchant horse armor. It makes no sense that you can't. I wanna ride my Frostwalker and Thorns horse over the oceans! Or at least stop sinking into every stream we try to cross!
Also, I would love to be able to apply wax to redstone. You can wax copper to keep it from oxidizing, let us waterproof our redstone with wax!

7:05 Actually, Mojang added a new feature in the 21w37a snapshot that allows you to "shear" vines and stop their growth (the technical side is simply just setting the block's age to 25, this works on all vines types and kelp)
That one's a HUGE game changer, think about the huge amount of string that has been wasted by players in the last years...
It also doesn't work on vines :p

Alternative: The default chest texture is what you get when you use mixed wood, and when you use a single type of wood you get one for each wood type

The vine growth trick is coming with 1.18, but rather than flint and steel, it's being done with shears.
Right clicking the tip of a constantly growing plant like glowberries, or vines with shears will stop it's growth.
I think shears are the better call anyway, less likely to misclick and burn down your nice build.

Really? That's gonna be so useful, I have an overgrown garden themed base and the vines and glowberries keep growing way too far it's so annoying

Well they kinda did a update on fixing bugs and everyone was like. Bruh this update sucks so a simmilair thing might happen if you just do a update about this. I feel like having a whole update about it doenst make sense as much as just implementing more into the major updates
Oh my god. Those enchantment book redesigns are GORGEOUS
In Minecraft I’d love to see an implementation of “empty bookshelves”, something like the regular bookshelves except the player can use them to store enchanted books, regular books, and book and quills at their own desire. I think it’d make it a lot easier to sort through enchants, kinda like a mini library :D
Also different wood types for the bookshelves too!

1:28 or what about a way to "clean" the color, like you can leather armor in a cauldron, maybe the crafting recipe could be the colored terracotta with a water bucket in the middle.
or maybe a bleach item that switches your dyed colour to normal on crafting or cauldron
@@sunilkoppuridoge1638 that actually exists in the education edition!! So the feature is already there, they would just need to think of a way to implement it into normal survival (since I'm not sure "bleach" really fits into the world of Minecraft).

The mod you are looking for is quark. They have a glass item frame that disappears when you put an item in it.

Idea: an iron golem with glowing eyes made when a jack-o'-lantern is used instead of a pumpkin, as you can already use the jack-o'-lantern to make an iron golem, so why not make a variant for that possibility

Something I’ve also wanted since forever is wood variants for bookshelves! It just looks kind of funny when you only use the oak wood texture for the bookshelves when the rest of the build is a different color

What I really desperately want in Minecraft is a "wander" mechanic for cats and dogs. Right now either they follow you, or they sit motionless; it'd be neat to have a third version where they would wander freely in, say, a 32x32 square area around where you ordered them to "wander". That way you could have some ambience of a couple of cats exploring your structure.
Being able to pet dogs in minecraft would probably break the game
Minecraft's playtime would increase from the amount of time people would end up spending just petting the dogs alone, much less the other tamable animals

It’s a marvel how Minecraft at its very basis is a block game. But through the sheer ingenuity and innovative mind of its developers it has make this “just a block game” transcend to this utopian and elegant status.

man, i'll be honest, a lot of these just seem annoying, or more like luxuries that seem out of place in a survival game. i'd love some of these in a purely creative environment, but a lot of things are *supposed* to be difficult or backwards so that it's actually a challenge. plenty of good ideas though

The sign could be like the map. Editable until a glass pane is put across it.
Instead of using redstone to put music discs in, the jukebox simply needs to have storage space like a small chest, where only discs can be put in. Then by clicking on the jukebox you should be able to change the play options from cycle, random, and repeat.
Another thing to improve Minecraft? When are we going to get a carpentry workstation so that we can make some of the more advanced wood blocks efficiently, like we do with the stone working?
So does java not have the ability to load a jukebox with a hopper like bedrock does? Because I use a dropper into a hopper which is triggered by the emptying of the jukebox.
@@seeit360 In java, I don't usually use jukeboxes. But the point is they should be treated like mid-90's peak of audio perfection and be multi-disc changers with their own multiple slot inventories. Sorry if that doesn't answer your specific question.

It could even have it's own villager profession with trades like wood blocks, so you can get types of wood not common to the area, shears, axes, sticks, leaf blocks, saplings, signs, doors. Basic trades.
But the included mechanics of more efficient production of wood blocks would be huge.
Last suggestion. Small thing. Lanterns can be placed on top of a block. Lanterns can be 'hung' from under a block.
Why can't signs?
I should be able to place a sign under a block, and have the sign 'upside down'. That is, it should be a regular sign, but the stick it's on should be out the top, so the sign looks to be attached to the block above it.

Since most of the time in survival, enchanted books that are found in chests the enchantments are combined. In creative mode enchanted books are just have one enchantment for simplicity I guess,

They could just leave the combined enchantments as is, and only change the ones that have a single enchantment
They should make a new book texture for each new enchantment, but not if a book contains more than 1 enchantment; and also as an example: fire aspect 1 and fire aspect 2 should have the same texture otherwise you’ll get A LOT of textures. Just whenever a book gets contains more than 1 enchantment, it should be back to it’s original design

Similar to the item frame I think it would be good if they added dyed glowstone so it can go with more builds because there is only glowstone and sea lanterns which won't go well if your making a green/purple and so on build, so what if you could dye glowstone different colours

Bundles are 100% a joke. One full stack of any combination of items sounds nice, but then you realize that really important treasures like enchanted books have a max stack size of one. A bundle being filled with just one book is literally pointless. Or how about ender pearls, which have a max stack size of 16? Severely limits the utility of a bundle to have only 16 items in there.

But the thing we surely need the most is an inventory filter. Imagine digging from one side of a bastion to the other without filling all your slots...

The remake of diamond and pearl could have been a masterpiece considering it’a one of the most popular pokemon games but the devs aren’t giving the remake enough love to make that dream true.

@8:33 In addition to #21, I would love to see another type of jukebox that allows to record sounds in a nearby area onto an empty disc, or even while being carried (if you have to run along your note block path while it's playing). Then you can play that sound/music on demand, in the comfort of your house, without having to walk all the way back to your note block contraption to hear your tune again.

I had a simple fix for nuggets! U get “nuggets equal to the nuber if Ingots” used to make an item! So a chestplate requires 8 ingots… let it smelt for 8 nugs! Its still something better and it has an internal logic

I was thinking the same thing, but I've tried to get sand using wandering traders, and it feels awful doing it like that to the point where it might as well not be infinite.
@@prowler6435 still, it’s infinite. Either way, deserts are pretty common so… Also, wandering traders are better for getting sand than using tons of iron and a stone bock for ONE sand

I was hoping you would say different wood variants of chests so i didn't have to say it but MAN! I would love this! Not only would it make sense since you are using different wood types. But using different chests would make organizing so much easier when you see the different types.

Lol, java is always rude to bedrock, Minecraft is Minecraft. Bedrock can Not be modded, so it gets its own perks, Bedrock is also easier to hack than java so bedrock deserves more items than java. Java can have all the things bedrock can have through mod's, and somehow bedrock gets hate???
Try Xile's enchanted books resourcepack,it looks amazing, helps you organize your enchanted books and even supports some mods!
Gotta disagree on that wood one. I love being able to just empty multiple wood types into the same chest, and not as many recipes allow me to do that as before. I'd prefer not having to turn the odd 1 plank of 1 wood, and 1 of another into sticks when I could use the last 1, and 3 of another for a Crafting Table, (or 1 and 7 for a chest).
Besides, the chest is almost as iconic as the diamond ore at this point.
Maybe the compromise is if you make a chest with multiple wood planks, you get the current one. If you make it with just spruce, you get a spruce one
Exactly. After all, if you look at the line-up of chests in the video, most of them match the color of their wood types but the original ones really don't match oak. It would be a shame to have to either lose the classic chest texture or make oak chests not fit the pattern. So, generic chest + specific wood chests.

I think to be able to dye frames would be such a blessing. And I would love to be able to dye things with the full color range one can dye leather clothing with. That would be heaven.
I think the chest problem you mentioned (aka if we had variety chests you couldnt mix them) has an easy fix. Keep the original textured chest as the mixed planks and just make an oak chest texture.
but maybe you wanted the og texture chest and you're stuck in a birch forest. how would you get the og texture?

They should make it where if something falls on Quartz, it will drop Sand. Quartz does form Sand so it is kinda relaistic
