I find it striking how right Rasputin's prediction of Russia's future ended up being. I don't think it would take a genius to see that the War would go poorly for Russia, but seeing as it lead to a century of bloodshed, torrents of blood and tears, for a utopia that would never come. Truly, they all did drown in blood. And even to this very day, burdened by the choices made a century ago, Russia's suffering remains infinite.

I started the lazy way, by watching a three hour documentary (in my mother tongue). It was completely fascinating! I saw many parallels between then and now. My father was a Germanic giant and highly intellectual. Our town considered him an oracle. He chose a life of wandering and sharing his wisdom on the streets which was exceedingly well recieved as highly insightful. He adored Rasputin.
Rasputin and Vlad Dracul Tepes of Wallachia. Both misunderstood men with scandalized stories surrounding them. Few years back, my family and I befriend a woman named Emma who was from Romania. She says "in Romania, we have very fond feelings for Vlad Tepes." Sad, no one alive can come forward about Rasputin. I believe he was in fact a spiritual man who was comfortable with himself, kind, generous and did not care what others say. If you go against societal norms, you are demonized. I hate Felix Yusupov.

I heard a story that Rasputin might have actually "sort of" solved Alexi's hemophilia. The doctors would give him an aspirin type of medication frequently, which turns out to be a blood thinner. Rasputin understood this and when the doctors stayed away and didn't give the boy medication, he didn't bleed nearly as badly. Not sure if it's true but it could lend some credence to his "heeling powers. "

What a phenomenal look at a fascinating man. My only prior knowledge of Rasputin has come from that animated movie 90s kids grew up watching and likewise dramatic and sensational documentaries from time to time, really playing up the horror and macabre. This was really great to see! Excellent work.

What a phenomenal look at a fascinating man. My only prior knowledge of Rasputin has come from that animated movie 90s kids grew up watching and likewise dramatic and sensational documentaries from time to time, really playing up the horror and macabre. This was really great to see! Excellent work.

Really interesting. The believer in me infers this: "Even the debauched are closer to God than the pompous elites." (They're more honest with themselves than the aristocrats.) ...It seems Alexei's healing; the foreseen Revolution; Rasputin's 'unkillableness'; etc., are due to the powers of mere humility and opened eyes.
And let's not forget the ancient tradition of monks brewing beer. Since alcohol tones the controlling mind down, it can abet a closer connection to the divine through allowing suppressed emotions to express themselves and thus experience personal truth, including in interaction with the world.
Truth is profoundly connected to religion. The search for the divine is the search for higher truth. (This was also expressed by how faith healer Bruno Gröning always urged people to be truthful, to not exaggerate their reports of healing experiences, condemned the press' sensationalizing reports about him and was never afraid to admit when he couldn't do something. He understood that personal cultivation of truth servitude promotes spiritual maturity.)
