I was waiting for the Z50II. Two different ways it could be good for me: - Smaller overall camera, like a XT30 / XE4, or - High specs, recicled Z6 or Z7 body, with IBIS, the Z7 battery, same Nikon 20mp APS sensor but stacked and fast. Great AF, even no mechanical shutter, like a mini Z8 But being the things this way, i think I'm better with Sony or Fuji. Smaller cameras and smaller lenses overall.
@@infantfrontender6131He didn't say anything about price. I'd be happy to pay A6700 or X-S20 money for an equal Z50 II and it would still be half the price of Z6 III.
@@infantfrontender6131 ¿?¿? I didn't say anything about the price. But for $1000 I would be happy with the Z50II but smaller, like I said, an XT30 or XE4 size. If the camera is larger, then it would be used in other type of scenario where better specs are needed. I hope I was clearer now about my point.
@@amermeleitor, yes, now it’s clear. The Z30 will probably be the right choice. I guess Nikon will update it soon. I don’t think the Z30 II will have IBIS. All APS-C cameras under $1,000 don’t have it
It's alright for what it is, but with Nikon's focus on wildlife, I really think a high end APS-C body would make a lot of sense. A z80/z90 with a stacked 26-33 MP sensor and all the bells and whistles from the z8 for a significantly lower price would be great.
Really wish Panasonic still made entry and mid level cameras. Because if you want to get IBIS now, you have to pay way over $1000, but with Panasonic you could have it for like $700 and have some money left for lenses.

My only other thought is the Z5 regularly goes on sale for $999, and it’s full frame with IBIS. Still an old sensor though.

The irony is that, no APS-C camera, can shoot 4k120p without a crop, that to me, is funny. Fuji crops to almost an 1-inch sensor, Sony becomes m43 size. And Nikon, Canon cannot even do 4k60p without a crop on an APS-C, imao. m4/3 is victorious once again in the crop world. And it shows, GH6, G9M2 and GH7 have superior DR in video at all framerates versus the best APS-C cameras except the Fujifilm X-H2s and its half a stop better DR from 14bit ADC if you apply noise reduction in the ProRes RAW. Panasonic has vastly better highlight roll-off on their new LOG profile in the camera since the S5 released.

funny to see a sony fan complaining that nikon use an old sensor on a entry lvl camera ^^ how long did sony used that 24MP ? ^^ As for the IBIS, a shame indeed but what about the other brand at that price range ? xm-5 ? nope. R10 ? nope. ZV-E10II ? still nope. Sadly it seems the xs-10 was a bug in the matrix and IBIS on sub 1000€ is still not for today ^^
Price cameras is probably the most important thing. But why buying the camera on the first day of release or even worse making a preorder? When most of them will drop the price down by a lot. Like the nikon z6iii which started for 3000 euros and now it costs 2300 euros and if you waot a bit more it will be even less. Now sony os the only one having really high prices even and very old camers which i dont understand, but i dont care so much cause i dont think I'll buy a sony camera, but thanks to them and people buying sony so much other cameras like nikon in this case or panasonic will always have a huge drop on their prices.
To be honest, it's a low bar competition. Sony keep on boosting the software side (it took long arse time to replace the 24MP to fastee 26MP) and Fuji keeps on boosting whatever film sim they want.
And dropping the ball constantly with autofocus. Fuji does have perfect apsc cameras in xe and xt lines. All what they need is reliable autofocus. Plus new xe camera 🤣
The Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm VR has VR at least so to keep costs down the Z50ii doesn't need IBIS. Even the R50 doesn't have IBIS. Low costs is what matters in this crappy economy that the Democrats have created. Hence why you don't have the money to buy one yourself 🤣
Didn't see you at Profusion, unless you were in a disguise, maybe you went as Gerald Undone 🤣🤣🤣 Push the industry forward or push out a bowl movement 💩 like a Sony ZE10II hahaha. Canon RF 28-70mm f2 pop, pop, pop 💥 but if you want to use this lens you need to start lifting weights 💪 The Blue background looked good for a douche tuber light. 💡💙
Why does Nikon not do 422 color internal? Makes no sense you get all these codecs and specs but in 4:2:0 color unless recorded external. Nobody can really tell but still, why cap it at 4:2:0? Mainly speaking about z8/z9
The only tangible progress in the digital world since over a decade ago has only been in the power and the ever more sophisticated algorithms used to achieve faster focusing and on chip noise reduction and some pixel rendering in the higher end cameras. There is not a lot more useless shit that they put into these computer imaging boxes.
The data is dependent upon the bit depth and megapixels, not the size of the sensor. Usually full frame has more megapixel, so people say it like that. But nowadays, the difference is much less for the most part.
@@cameraconspiracies Full frame has better dynamic range and so, more detail. This could mean more data after lossless compression. But, there is not much in it though. Data is a electronic measure that don't care about device size. If you want you can make a FF camera that compresses more than a MFT and still deliver better quality (Exposure advantage, think lossy compressed Sony RAW vs. Olympus RAW). Z9 sensor reads out 2x faster than OM-1, both are stacked. R8 faster than R10. If you are getting different sized log files from the same manufacturer camera with different sensor size, then I don't have a clue and I am the fool. Big fan, love your stuff.
I just bought a Nikon z6 II and i noticed Nikon put the metal camera strap loop at the exact spot so that when I put the camera viewfinder up to my face, I get a reflective sun ray shooting directly into my other eyeball to the left of the viewfinder, therefore burning my retina. Do people who design Nikon cameras even use them once in a while? How do they not notice their design mistakes? My Pentax KF has the best designed camera strap loop and it is 1/3rd the price. Sigh.
@ ok. I have a Z6ii and I’ve tried to recreate the problem to no avail. The ‘shiny metal piece’ is in the same place on my Z8 also and it’s not a problem for me either. I can only think that Nikon are trolling you. Send the camera back and go back your KF.
Do you guys really expect a company to create a pro apsc body which immediately becomes a competitor of their pro ff bodies? You literally don’t have the slightest idea of how this industry works… Get lenses instead for your current cameras those are much better investments.
I was Nikon fan boy. I actually have the Nikon z8 and the z9 and zf and Nikon z6 111 and all the best z lenses. Here’s were it gets wired I also have the Sony A1 and the a7mark 5 and the a7cr aging with all the best GM lens and Sony is always better with focus. the Nikon could not even pull off a portrait shot and keep in focus but no.more So I am finely throwing Nikon under the bus. I am tired of making excuses for Nikon. All we have to do is color correction on Sony I am actively selling off ever Nikon pc of gear. I men all of it.
Wait! Long time Nikon guru will tell you flat out that 20MP sensor is just fine. Slightly better low ISO DR than the Z8 and out performs many 24mp APS sensors. There was no sensor upgrade needed. Nikon is selling an upgraded Z50 for $900. How much you going to pay for the Fuji with inferior AF? Yeah they do need a sub $2000 Z90 for sports and action and I suspect that will come in 2025. there's a small 4k60 crop on the zve10 II. 1.1x
So glad I didn't wait for the Z50 II and bought the first one, about three months ago
If you do wildlife z50ii is a beast and overall autofocus. It's so much better for the same price
Your gona sell it and get this mark my words… (been using the z50 since it’s release date)
@@pauka13 same I'm selling mine atm haha
@@MrPawnyou me too! This is going to be a great secondary camera for wildlife/ hiking.
@@MrPawnyou yes, the animal detection would be nice, also the flippy screen for vertical shots close to the ground. Still, i won't replace it until i feel like i'm limited by the camera and there's need to expand (for example paid works). But then, i will probably move to fullframe
funny to see a sony fan complaining that nikon use an old sensor on a entry lvl camera ^^ how long did sony used that 24MP ? ^^
As for the IBIS, a shame indeed but what about the other brand at that price range ? xm-5 ? nope. R10 ? nope. ZV-E10II ? still nope.
Sadly it seems the xs-10 was a bug in the matrix and IBIS on sub 1000€ is still not for today ^^
Oh man this is fun.
The viewfinder is too much functionality. Strip it back even more to z30ii specs, and my money is yours Nikon!
The intro 🤣🤣
Price cameras is probably the most important thing. But why buying the camera on the first day of release or even worse making a preorder? When most of them will drop the price down by a lot. Like the nikon z6iii which started for 3000 euros and now it costs 2300 euros and if you waot a bit more it will be even less. Now sony os the only one having really high prices even and very old camers which i dont understand, but i dont care so much cause i dont think I'll buy a sony camera, but thanks to them and people buying sony so much other cameras like nikon in this case or panasonic will always have a huge drop on their prices.
The sensor is older than 8 years
crop on 4k 60 is deal breaker
To be honest, it's a low bar competition. Sony keep on boosting the software side (it took long arse time to replace the 24MP to fastee 26MP) and Fuji keeps on boosting whatever film sim they want.
And dropping the ball constantly with autofocus. Fuji does have perfect apsc cameras in xe and xt lines. All what they need is reliable autofocus. Plus new xe camera 🤣
The most useless release form Nikon in this century. Other brands have IBIS for years
your videos are Ace❤
The Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm VR
has VR at least so to keep costs down the Z50ii doesn't need IBIS. Even the R50 doesn't have IBIS. Low costs is what matters in this crappy economy that the Democrats have created. Hence why you don't have the money to buy one yourself 🤣
Johnson rolls over again. C'mon buddy, grow a pair and take your idea to one of your quint brothers!
It's apsc don't expect it to stand and deliver
Didn't see you at Profusion, unless you were in a disguise, maybe you went as Gerald Undone 🤣🤣🤣 Push the industry forward or push out a bowl movement 💩 like a Sony ZE10II hahaha. Canon RF 28-70mm f2 pop, pop, pop 💥 but if you want to use this lens you need to start lifting weights 💪 The Blue background looked good for a douche tuber light. 💡💙
Over here debating spending $50 on a miniDv handicam hd720. You need to review some super crap camcorders from 2009
Tapes are a nightmare.
Oh man I had a good laught, thanks!
That racoon had better watch out for the government.
Why does Nikon not do 422 color internal? Makes no sense you get all these codecs and specs but in 4:2:0 color unless recorded external. Nobody can really tell but still, why cap it at 4:2:0? Mainly speaking about z8/z9
They all do 4:2:2 what are you even talking about?
@@cameraconspiraciesyou delete my comment? They do 4:2:0 not 4:2:2 internal except ProRes
I didn’t notice. I’m still celebrating Trump II. 😂
Lol raccoon based
LOL! Pretty funny stuff...and a little too close to the truth!
I’m the CEO of CNN. You’ll be receiving a letter in the mail soon.
☠EVF☠ Ugh! Paying for another EVF I'll never use and a screen that I have to flip out to tilt up. This sucks-again. Pass.
if its the same sensor just get a d7500 n shiieet
Canon News Network
yes❤
so for almost the same price you can buy X-S20 or for less money you can get X-M5, both of which have a better sensor and video specs, interesting…
No IBIS at all.
Slow as Blank Recycled 90's Tech can't Beat Sony Canon or Fuji nor anyone else. LOL
Pretty weak camera to be honest.
Stop complaining. It's likely a camera designed to train assembly workers in Nikon's new Mongolia camera plant.
The data is dependent upon the bit depth and megapixels, not the size of the sensor. Usually full frame has more megapixel, so people say it like that. But nowadays, the difference is much less for the most part.
With equal bit depth and MP, full frame has more data than a crop sensor... Crop sensors have the potential to be much faster.
Gyroflow
Heavier = better as far as I am concerned. (nobody cares).
Sigh.
You win for bizarrest criticism of a camera this year
@@SingleTrack66 Why put a shiny metal piece of the camera in direct sightline of my left eye? Don't you think Nikon should have noticed that?
@ ok. I have a Z6ii and I’ve tried to recreate the problem to no avail. The ‘shiny metal piece’ is in the same place on my Z8 also and it’s not a problem for me either. I can only think that Nikon are trolling you. Send the camera back and go back your KF.
@@SingleTrack66 I am going to place black matte hockey tape over it. I think that will solve the issue.
It's a fatter baby lol
Do you guys really expect a company to create a pro apsc body which immediately becomes a competitor of their pro ff bodies? You literally don’t have the slightest idea of how this industry works… Get lenses instead for your current cameras those are much better investments.
hahaha why you put "Sony Canon AND FUJI"? fuji? hahaha
Uh can’t shoot Nikon then 😂
Yeah they get roasted for the sensor, even though 20MP is enough for the vast majority of cases.
Did you even listen to the video? I was asking for even less MP lol.
I wonder why nikon is a joke lately. Then I see their latest release. Now i understand why.
4:34 I love this music! Can I download it somewhere?

Maybe.
Old sensor also means slow readout though. So you get cropped 4K 60p and no 4K 120p or even HD 240p.
I asked for a LOWER MP sensor lol. We're talking about video here. ZVE1 has 12MP, C70 has 9MP.
@@cameraconspiracies I actually put my Z6 in video mode last week. 👍
