I'm assuming he's referring to David from the Old testament of the Bible. He literally was quoting scripture, I remember that verse but never truly understood it until now. Jesus was referred to in the Bible multiple times as "The Son of David". Jesus is literally David's great grandson 42 generations later according to the genealogy of Jesus which can be found in Matthew 1:2-16 and Luke 3:23-38 of the bible. Hope that helps clear that up.

I'm assuming he's referring to David from the Old testament of the Bible. He literally was quoting scripture, I remember that verse but never truly understood it until now. Jesus was referred to in the Bible multiple times as "The Son of David". Jesus is literally David's great grandson 42 generations later according to the genealogy of Jesus which can be found in Matthew 1:2-16 and Luke 3:23-38 of the bible. Hope that helps clear that up.

In my opinion its beautiful if you are open to it, it has made me read the Bible with new eyes and a new heart.
