Though the schedules and personnel are different, this team and situation remind me of what happened from 2012 to 2013. We’re excited because of what we saw from this team and their potential to be great, but we’re still an injury or two away from being bad again next year. Though I agree with Will on the fact that it’s time for Florida to win, I’m not so sure it’ll happen in 2025. 2026 or 27 may be when it happens at the earliest. We have to remember that other teams are getting better within the conference just like we will.
The Hevessey point is valid. He could spot talent and develop it, but preferred going after 0-2 stars that need 2-3 years to develop. Barber, Slaughter, Braun, EWhite, Kingsley, etc. Sale is very similar to Hevessey in that manner. Which is why my issue has always been with the 2nd official OL coach not being a recruiting heavy machine. We know Sale can coach and develop guys but Fla needs to be grabbing more 5 stars and high end 4 star guys that might be able to contribute/start earlier in their tenure at UF
2025 UF will have a great offense if we get a transfer RT and big WR. Would not be surprised if one of our younger OLs develops. Getting an All Amer. center back is huge for our offense.
UF needs a big fast WR. Target Sturdivant is bigger and faster than Badger. Badger had great hands and likely quicker in traffic than Sturdivant. More big WRs eventually available.
Lagway will eventually attract a good big WR who wants a QB like Lagway who excels at hitting the deep pass. Lagway's deep passes can help a WR look good for the NFL.
Eventually better be very soon because if he's as good as we think he is, do you really think he'll be here more than one or 2 years tops? It's a mystery why we don't have big name portal WRs already signing on.
Let me explain the dull week kids are taking offers from everybody but more importantly you got 12 teams in the playoffs and there'll be a lot of team of players entering the portal after those games so you got a lot of good players from those 12 teams that will be out there so nobody needs to jump early
My single best investment of 2024 was attending the Samford game and spending $100 to buy a framed and signed in-game action shot from Lagway’s first pass thrown as a gator.
@ correct. Just to clarify briefly, I attended the samford game and purchased the photo at that time. The photo was of him winding up to throw his first pass in college when he played the fourth quarter against Miami.
I believe Dave has kids. If not for the random temperature changes, that's likely why. My relatives are always sick because their kids are always catching things at school and bringing it home to their parents.
My allergies get me pretty hard a lot of times, and the weather here in Jax has been so odd it's getting to me. I'm assuming it's the same with him, just worse.
@@timothymartensen9040 Pretty much this. I’ve been much better in recent months but with the temperature and season change, plus my family being sick right before this, it was only a matter of time.

And some of those transfer targets would love to.play with Lagway.

As a starter yes but he threw passes against Miami. I think that’s what you was referring to.

@@Foggydidwhat aye I see that’s a nice lil grab. I went to that Florida FSU game to see lagway first game against them.
Go Gators
Billy's mentor Saban let coaches ger hired by others. UF likely only wanted Roberts but let Armstrong get a job.
David is always sick, does he work at a hospital?
