Outboxing Nelo like plant did for the first 3 rounds is how you do it but the bigger plant couldn’t handle the beating. The smaller Crawford will outbox Nelo for 5 rounds until he can’t withstand the beating. Crawford is a better boxer than Nelo but not by much. Nelo will probably be faster and will definitely be stronger powerful with a chin of granite.

Agreed. Canelo naturally grew into the 168 class, so he didn't sacrifice anything due to the weight gain. He hits harder as a result and he already had an elite chin. Crawford is age 36 and is near his top prime effective bodyweight for power, speed, and stamina. I don't see how he could go up to 168 and be at his best even if he was a few years younger. Also Crawford does not have an elite chin and I cannot image him surviving a punch like the one that caused Charlo to take a knee 🙁.

Whenever people make predictions for fights and they state something "without a doubt," I wonder if they truly mean it. Like if I really know an outcome will 100% happen, I will put my entire fortune on it and never have to get a job. Yet I dont recall making such statements ever through many years watching boxing. If such an outcome can be assured, then making bets on it seems like a no brainer. I remember clearly Usyk, who was casted with lots of doubt before the AJ fight, came into the fight as a 3 to 1 underdog. People said he was too small, does not hit hard, and would fold if AJ hit him. Somewhat similar environment when the Canelo-Bivol fight, even though Canelo was coming up in weight. I remember clearly how many were confident he could have taken on Usyk or Povetkin after he dismantled 6ft3 unified 168 champ in Callum Smith, 6ft1 Caleb Plant, 6ft Kovalev, and 5ft11 BJS. They thought Bivol was no problem as he is a small 175 after all, and only came into fight night at 183. Bivol was actually a 5 to 1 underdog. Yet, Canelo got beat soundly. I think size did play a factor in it, cuz it would have been harder for Bivol if he was only 5ft7. But the big reason is Bivol has elite footwork and combo, disrupting Canelo's rhythm. IMHO Bud could fight at 168-170 in good fighting condition. Because of his skillset and IQ he doesn’t need to be any heavier. Also he’d wanna maintain his athleticism, speed agility etc. Would train hard without cutting much weight and draining himself. He would add some muscle, specifically train for the weight and devise a proper game plan. Canelo has been beat, had a few close fights and showed fatigue in late rounds before. I could see Bud win by decision 7-5. By ko/tko rd 10-12 if he figures him out and if Canelo can’t make the necessary adjustments. Bud will fight in both stances making proper adjustments. No fear, real dog and a chip on his shoulder. Betting $$ on Crawford should it happen.
Assuming rematch with Spence happens if he wins after fight Jermell at 54 or basically anyone who has a belt. Then go to 60 and be a champion and then since it’s an 8 pound weight increase have one more fight then canelo but by then crawford will likely wanna retire.

Crawford is age 36 and is near his top prime effective bodyweight for power, speed, and stamina. I don't see how he could go up to 168 and be at his best even if he was a few years younger. Whenever people make predictions for fights and they state something "without a doubt," I wonder if they truly mean it. Like if I really know an outcome will 100% happen, I will put my entire fortune on it and never have to get a job. Yet I dont recall making such statements ever through many years watching boxing. If such an outcome can be assured, then making bets on it seems like a no brainer.
I remember clearly Usyk, who was casted with lots of doubt before the AJ fight, came into the fight as a 3 to 1 underdog. People said he was too small, does not hit hard, and would fold if AJ hit him. Somewhat similar environment when the Canelo-Bivol fight, even though Canelo was coming up in weight. I remember clearly how many were confident he could have taken on Usyk or Povetkin after he dismantled 6ft3 unified 168 champ in Callum Smith, 6ft1 Caleb Plant, 6ft Kovalev, and 5ft11 BJS. They thought Bivol was no problem as he is a small 175 after all, and only came into fight night at 183. Bivol was actually a 5 to 1 underdog. Yet, Canelo got beat soundly. I think size did play a factor in it, cuz it would have been harder for Bivol if he was only 5ft7. But the big reason is Bivol has elite footwork and combo, disrupting Canelo's rhythm. And who else has elite footwork, combos,.and even the elite ability to initialize offense and counter punch? Bud Crawford! I think Lara-Canelo is a pretty good shadow of what will happen if the Bud fight happens, and Bud, imo, is much better at counter punching and initializing offense than Lara. Also, some doubted Bud was too small for 147, especially for Spence, as he started at 135, so ...
