  • Taking a look at Around the World in 80 days, the Jules Verne classic, is it superior or is the Pierce Brosnan series better?

For me, the version with Pierce Brosnan is 100 times better because it fixed many injustices from the book. Brosnan created a Phileas Fogg who gathers courage to show and express his feelings, and most importantly - to change for the happiness of his beloved woman, which was missing in the book.

The channels invisible co-host NoBuddy was commenting to me similarly while I was writing the script out, this may come as a surprise but more often than not she disagrees with whatever I start prattling on about.

@@therealbuddies2950 I don't understand English that well and you speak fast and it's hard for me to understand what you're saying.
No one - mostly men - liked Brosnan's Fogg because he was "slimy", "showing feelings", etc. But we women admire just such men, not cold ones like Fogg from the novel.
But judging by the numerous comments on You tube, many men like Fogg (Brosnan) and prefer him to the one in the book.
