Steep is such an amazing game. I’ve logged hundreds and hundreds of hours finding really technical and hard passes to navigate. I set a bunch of markers and try to survive the run realistically. Then sometimes I just take a bunch of acid and wing suit for a few hours 😂🫠

if you have an xbox its free on game pass i discovered it that way and it is so fun if you actually snowboard

@@bucy21 if Amped didn’t let you combo / grind lifts… it would be most realistic. Amped’s control system is superior to any snowboarding game ever.

been playing this for three days and i'm gonna go ahead and say this is the most fun i've ever had on a video game... brings me back to the feeling over early skate days... massive ups to the dev team on this... literally better than any ps5 release ive played up until this point

Yo, you are missing out a bit on the capabilities of these maps. Each of them is infinitely rideable according to what you see. That big peak in the background? Call a sled and go shred its face to pieces.
Some of the park maps have incredible cliff drops just off the main park as well that allow 2k+ spins on them as well.
Finally, you really have to dig into the butter mechanics more. Its the most satisfying part of the game IMO. You can go full Harlau off a jump lip or link butters/jumps/tricks for huge trick scores.

They need to add more intensity to the speed / air / weight of landings / change of speed/texture of jibs and this game would be phenomenal. Should also be a lot less forgiving with the landings / edge.

My main issue with the other game steep is that rotations do not feel connected to player inputs but feel more like an animation.. This looks like you have more intricate control.
Yeah this game has far superior control and flow to STEEP.

I haven't played any winter games since Shaun White Snowboarding came out for xbox 360. I put like 5,000 hours into that game lol This one looks super similar, definitely have to check it out!

The thing I hate about this game is the physics.
When I tried it, it feels like a 0.5G world, there's something off about it.
Since SSX, I feel like not a lot of games get the physics right.
Maybe the update improved it, your video made me want to try it again

Really wish Ubisoft went with a Steep sequel rather than Riders Republic. Really feel like they could’ve properly flushed things out and made a near perfect snow sport game 🥲
@@mikelandey I think having Riders Republic include mountain biking and stuff was fine, it just should have been as grounded (or more grounded) than Steep. For me, the arcade-feel took away the enjoyment Steep had by being somewhat realistic

I was very excited when I saw the announcement for Riders Republic because I thought it would be Steep 2 but they replaced the sports we hated in Steep with mountain biking and whacky rides. Instead we got an arcade style extreme sports game, which is fine, but simply not what was expected.

I miss realistic layout of actual resorts like amped 2. Remember going to bear 10 years after the game and feeling like I’ve already rode this place. The turns flat spots I hope we get back to this
