I'm incredulous to Mrs. Murie being incredulous toward private land owners' discomfort regarding the Park Service coming in and taking their land. Why is it so hard to fathom you don't want someone taking what was once theirs? She was able to spend her final days on the ranch in Moose when all others were removed or bought out. And yet she begrudged the locals' sentiment of (rightful) distrust? Grand Teton National Park is a wonderful place - but does that wrong make it right?
