Because the 4 has absolutely nothing to do with the drum majors, but an abbreviation of the band name, Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South. #M4 🖤💛

Historically the number of drum majors that we have changes based on the size of the band and the will of the director. There has been a time where M4 has had 6-7 drum majors.
