Stumbled across this video. Brilliant! I grew up in the town in the 60s and 70s. Love Scully's barber's popping up. He used to say 'ah shur you're a great fella' over & over to distract you while he butchered your hair! Cheers!

Excellent production. These images of the town and the accompanying soundtrack evoke within us evocative memories that confirm what we know in our hearts to be true when we take a moment to reflect; time is moving too fast.

Wow - fantastic stuff for sure, my gran uncle Patrick Ward - hadn't heard him sing until now! Wow! Great visuals and content, well done everyone.

Thanks. Glad you like it. I have great respect for Patrick Ward (who should be much better known and appreciated here in his birthplace). I'm always interested in hearing more information about him. There's a chapter on him on my website www.portlaoisepictures.com and in my book. Best wishes, John
