Same here. I am like obsessed with Metra. I know so much about the Metra system it's not even funny. I can tell you every stop on 10 of the 11 lines, and identify every locomotive.
Caltrain too! And I think a few other commuter rail systems in the USA have the same chime tone. I would’ve replaced the BYOO-LONG! chime with a recording of “the doors are about to close!” then a simple double beep

You know you’ve spent too much time on Metra when you start hearing this in your sleep
You can't escape the closing doors
I love Metra Trains, I’ve even rode the UPNW line, and probably the MDN line.

Japanese: 注意!ドアが閉まります! "Chuui! Doa ga shimarimasu!"

WeGo Star (formerly Music City Star) now uses a female voice on their cars.
That may or may not be the recording in the beginning...
@@RaisedLetter it is the one at the beginning. Select Caltrain cars also use it.

The old Pullman gallery cars still have the man’s voice. I know one of the budd cars has the female voice. Do all of them now?
STAR has one of the worst in my opinion
I've heard a better version on Caltrain
