    Gila National Forest = "Heela" as in Gila Monster. And your tire pressure changes with the elevation - it'll rise if you go up and decrease as you go down because air expands as it rises and contracts when it descends.

    Tire pressures *DO* get higher as you drive at higher elevations. The air is thinner there (but not so much that you can't breathe) & warm tires create higher pressure to begin with....so it is what it is! Possibly that side of the car was facing the sun most of the time?? That'll do it too. ☀

    Hi Eric never let air out of your tire unless it's over inflated when the tire is cold. The psi naturally goes up when you are driving but because you let air out that tire will be under inflated when it cools.

  • @brianvandy4002
    @brianvandy4002 Год назад +15

    Hi Pressure is usually from increased heat. If it's just one tire and the temperature is grossly higher than the other tires, it's possible a brake is rubbing or that wheel is out of alignment.

    • @PaulMSabol
      @PaulMSabol Год назад +6

      If the sun is shining on the tire that will also increase PSI more than the shaded side.

    • @brianvandy4002
      @brianvandy4002 Год назад +1

      @@PaulMSabol True. Even early in the morning when the sun has only been up for 15 minutes it can make a degree or two of difference. That said, sun usually affects two tires or even three at a time if the sun is hitting the car at an angle. It rarely only strikes one tire at a time unlee there's shade involved from a structure or object. When driving, you'd expect tires to increase in temperature in some type of pattern. My front tires tend to be a little warmer due to toe-in causing a little extra friction. The side the sun is on can also cause two or three tires to be warmer. That said, if you have one tire getting dramatically hotter than the rest, there may be something wrong there, like a brake pad/shoe not releasing all the way or something.

    • @KRT045
      @KRT045 Год назад +2

    • @brianvandy4002

    For a car that spends a lot of time in tow, and eating away on the tires. Here is what I would see wildcat oil workers do. Have your city driving set of wheels and tires, and your towing set. Its a bit more labor wise, but you will easily extend the life of the good tires, by triple. Basically its four used tires, filled with slime, for the random punctures. Just an idea, but, you know whats best for you. Good luck

      My kitties like when I toss them treats! They "chase" & "kill" them! One is very good at catching them between her little paws! I didn't even teach her!🙀 So cute❣️ Sometimes I hide treats in "puzzle" feeders so they can hunt, too!😺
