The Osprey (aka "Fish Eagle" or "Fish Hawk") is one-of-a-kind when it comes to birds of prey.
..
With a diet of nearly 100% live fish, this piscivorous bird will hunt prey in fresh or brackish (somewhat salty) water. Found across a WIDE span of North America (aka "Turtle Island") and occasionally found on every other continent except Antarctica (they're not into frozen fish).
..
So, look up, listen, and learn a bird!

As I learn more about birds I get the feeling that the typical "jungle" sounds and calls that I casually associated with monkeys are actually birds.

Love these guys. For some reason, I *always* see them in nests that are built on these tall manmade “posts” in the center of salt marshes. If we’re constructing these posts for the sole purpose of providing osprey nesting habitat, we’re doing a great job!
