100%, I neglected this band for ages or didn't bother listening through an album and now after hearing this song I went back and listened to The Sea of Tragic Beasts and I have to say its fucking amazing.
I’m glad you guys checked it out and enjoyed it. These guys are personally my favourite deathcore band because they really don’t follow the usual trend of deathcore with the gurgly unintelligible vocals and blast beats for 90% of the song. If you guys enjoy this song I think you’ll really have a good time with their past 3 albums since they’re all sort of in the same vain
Okay guys, Sea of Tragic Beasts, Black Mammoth and anything from the Rain City concert recording! You are gonna be surprised how solid they sound live 🔥
Matt Heafy has been pushing FFAA hard for a few years now. Finally checked them out when they released the single "Fear Tomorrow" at the start of last year. That song is fucking banger and has been on repeat ever since. It finally forced me to check them out more. Also to Nath's point on the vocal tone, this is the style I will listen to in the "deathcore" scene. It just fits the style and band so well.
Fit for an Autopsy along with Meshuggah, Gojira, Humanity's Last Breath and Cannibal Corpse are my personal favorite bands. They just get better and better.
Dudes if you can get past the beastly vocals, the production quality and amazing guitar work and drumming is simply amazing. Definitely one of my top bands
When they're not doing the proper face slapping riff, the almost subdued guitars give me such Gojira vibes, it's sick, really enjoyed it! Like Nath I've avoided these before based on name thinking they'd be really Death Metally 😆
they hve been amazing since the great collapse and stepped up the "deathcore" game for me personally. Lyrically they are amazing and have always a lot of meaning.
You should check out anything from The Sea Of Tragic Beasts, that album is a masterpiece and one of the best albums of 2019. My favs are the title track and Your Pain is Mine. YPiM has my favorite build up + breakdown of all time. Chills everytime. I'm so excited for this next album !!!
@@joshforeman1648 I cant help but sing (screams) that build up + breakdown every time it come up ahah sooooo goood I'll completely lose my shit if I can see this live someday.
Haha was hoping for this review from yall. These guys are phenomenal.. You boys aren't much into deathcore but if you dug this, you'll more that definitely love "No Man is Without Fear" and "Your Pain is Mine" from their last record, The Sea of Tragic Beasts.
I think you boys would love the music video for Necrogenic Resurrection by Cannibal Corpse. Its thrashy, has heavy, chunky breakdowns and its like an over-the-top music video. Came out earlier this year and is by far the best work they've done imo. Fun fact Cannibal Corpse means Zombie ;)
If you enjoyed it, check out Black Mammoth - Live at Rain city from them. Very simple song but easily one of my top 10 favorite live performances of all time.
Do you guys know the Band DVSR? Highly recommend it! Really nice rap/djent combination, they even have a feature with the GOAT CJ from Thy Art is Murder! As we say in Germany - Gönnjamin (:
Damn that video and it’s attack on religion was awesome. I always figured this band would just be death metal but that was great. I tend to like the melodic hardcore and metal, misery signals comes to mind but this was a great tune. The guitar was honestly sick throughout.
Yeah definitely check out more FFAA. Like many have said, The Sea of Tragic Beasts is a really great album. This is like a continuation from that album, very similar vibe. As you progress further back in their sound, they're more deathcore sounding but still tons of bangers. Their music is very doomer too though. They write about climate change and how we're destroying the planet. The Great Collapse is probably more accessible than Absolute Hope Absolute Hell and Hellbound, but still, recommend you check those albums too. Still got that patented FFAA guitar sound and Joe's vocal tone.
Idk if they kinda get sick of that comparison but to me they are the Gojira of Deathcore with their riff writing and bravery not being scared to include a lot of melody into their music (of course in relation to other bands in that particular genre). They are the band that got me into Deathcore with their last record The Sea Of Tragic Beasts and going back also having two good records before that. They have great riffs, obviously great production with Will Putney, solid vocals and also very good and aware lyrics. I am thinking of getting that skull from the album cover tattoed on the back of my hand
These guys plus Lorna Shore and Shadow of Intent are my top tier of the genre and none of them sound alike. Also I didn't even like deathcore until about 2 years ago, now it's probably 80% of my listening
Definitely check out The Sea of Tragic Beasts, the song and that entire album is phenomenal

Yeah, that album is freakin amazing.
Dude yes. And their live at the bar and the studio live shows too. Vocalist is SO good live.

this is will putney's band. He is probably the current best producer in the hardcore/metalcore scene. Produced for some big releases
One of the best deathcore albums I’ve ever heard and I didn’t think that at first. I had to give this album several listens
These guys are apart of my daily listen, anything from them is an absolute banger!
Okay guys, Sea of Tragic Beasts, Black Mammoth and anything from the Rain City concert recording! You are gonna be surprised how solid they sound live 🔥
I found them shortly after “Absolute Hope Absolute Hell” dropped and have been hooked since.
Thanks for introducing me to this one…. Amazing

Matt has impeccable taste.
The Intro had me thinking that it was Gojira
Awesome band, Massive tune!!! Yeah booiiiii \m/
Such a phenomenal song.

So, all these years I never gave this band a chance because of the name. I have failed. This song is awesome!
Dudes if you can get past the beastly vocals, the production quality and amazing guitar work and drumming is simply amazing. Definitely one of my top bands
this video is so damn good and the guitar riffs like holy fuck also love GET IT BOYS
LETS GOOOOO
I get a upon a burning body vibe as well as a Gojira vibe in the chorus. Wicked video!
Loathe esque breakdown really suprised me. One of the best deathcore band, people sleeping on them.

The videos from live at the machine shop are pretty badass too 😉

@@hithere-haveagreatday7609 man Joe Bads emotion in that build up is just crushing. Such an amazing sing and band
3 new songs from Shaman (Orbit Culture) are out...any plans? This song is sick, BTW!

You guys needs to check out their Kerrang K sessions live video. So fucking good !
First of all…drugs are bad, so don’t use them kids!
But I was stoned the first time I heard this…just now…and I switched dimensions.
Please check out Black Mammoth! You won’t be disappointed!
Break down Hollow Front trending water thanks

don't judge a book by it's cover
God, I wish metal industry have some more money to hire better mixers. Mix destroys this great song for me.
Their guitarist Will Putney is literally one of the most sought after producers in heavy music lol
@@joshforeman1648 exactly my thoughts 😑
Sea of tragic beasts is a masterpiece of mixing haha
