I believe the collab with Brandon were filmed while Tom and Nova were in Cali and Brandon filmed in Vancouver. Nova edited it. Just like the Brave album Tom and Adam did their parts in their states. Brave 2 Adam came and stayed with Nova and Tom in Cali.😄❤️🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Answer to your question: we are our worst enemy. we are programmed internally to self-destruct.
It's why we get fired from good jobs because we just can't stay true, or screw up great relationships, or do any number of destructive things.
I'm not saying we all do these things - there are many very successful and happy people that never went through this - BUT they had to make a conscious effort to do so. If you let nature take its course then things will break down and self-destruct. Its the concept of entropy. We very easily allow ourselves fk up and fail. That's why.

The thing with most of Tom’s hooks is that they’re growers. On first listen you may think they don’t quite hit the mark but by the second listen they’re an earworm and you’ll be singing them in your head all day. By the way, you’re at least a 7 😉

If you ever watch the video again, notice in the first chorus when Nova and Tom are looking at each other, Tom doesn't say the "were dead" part of the line "I wish you were dead". Was that a slip for Nova in the editing or would Tom just say it while looking at Nova? 🤷🏼♀️ My romantic heart thinks that since he thought he might lose her when she ended up in the hospital for 3 or 4 days, he just couldn't put that thought about Nova out into the universe.
I think people fight for people who are bad for them because they must have had a time in their lives that was really good and it changed and they hope and pray that maybe they’ll go back to how it was before because that’s the version of them they had fell in love with but it usually doesn’t happen that way. But it’s hard to let go of that when you really ‘think’ you are in love with them but you’re really just in love with the thought of what they were pretending to be.
