    This is one of my favorite rides in the area! This summer I rode through Lost Canyon around to Signal during the columbine bloom. It was beautiful!

      That sounds like a great route. And to see the columbines in bloom! Did you find my Hartman Rocks overnighter video? You’d probably recognize a lot in that one too.

      @katrinahase I did see it. I've done that as a day ride. Either take McCabe's exit, the road within Harman's back around, or take single track back from the quarry to the front parking lot. My poor gravel bike has seem a lot!

      What a lucky gravel bike 😀

    Really like the videos! For some reason that first lower beautiful campsite seamed claustrophobic even before your narrative on creepy! I bike pack by myself and intuition is everything! All the best in your journey’s and our future videos 😌

      Yes! Isn’t it weird that a wide valley could feel so claustrophobic? Interesting that you picked up on that too. Thanks for watching!

    Great video. Throwing in a dad joke with moooove over..on the next level 🤣.
    Wish you showed of you camping and cooking and your camp set up.

      Haha, glad you appreciated my weird humor 😅. Funny you mention cooking…on this particular trip I was experimenting with camping without a stove. All my meals were cold soak only. Not sure I loved cold instant coffee, but it did the trick! Also just had a bivy and a tarp instead of a tent. Overnighters seem like a good time to experiment a bit! Thanks so much for watching!

      Love down to earth people, who are light hearted. Tell me do you not feel anxiety when you are out there by yourself with no one around for miles. I so badly want to do this but anxiety is holding me back. I watch many you tubers who go out on these adventures by them self, and always trying to figure out how or what they are feeling inside. I really command you for how free you are.

      I have to say that mostly I just feel empowered…in charge of my own adventure. Once I’m out doing it, anxiety melts away and I feel present. I strongly recommend giving it a go solo!

    Hi , why did you decide to tarp camp instead of a tent ?

    • @katrinahase
      @katrinahase  8 дней назад +1

      Great question! I was in Colorado for the Grand Loop bikepacking race and had all of my gear for that with me. I needed the lightest possible setup for that route, so I chose the tarp/bivy. In short, it’s what I had with me.
