It's not blending it's assimilation. That's how they digest the local culture and make them their own. That's how Christianity spread in initial stages.
You think Christmas has got anything to do with Christianity?
It doesn't. It was a pagan festival on which they used to worship the Mitra( The sun God) to mark winter solstice and welcomed summer.
Same as Makar Sankranti in India.
Nothing merry about Christmas especially not Santa Claus. Read what Saint Nikolas (santa Claus) used to do.

@@vaibhavyadav9912 , to be accurate winter solstice falls on 22nd dec, here is the reason for celebrating on 25th:
Antiochus IV (Epiphanes), the king of Syria, captured Jerusalem in 167 BC and desecrated the Temple by offering the sacrifice of a pig on an altar to Zeus (the Abomination of Desolation). n seeking to prohibit Judaism and Hellenize the Jews, Antiochus forbade their religious practices and commanded that copies of the Law be burned, all of which is related by Josephus in the Antiquities of the Jews (XII.5.4).
On December 165 BC Judas, who was called Maccabeus, led a Jewish Army and by the miraculous grace of God defeated the army of Antiochus overcame them drove them out and reclaimed the temple and they won the Victory and reclaimed the temple December 25th 165 BC
      Hanukkah Hanukah means dedication
At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, (John 10:22)
22It was now winter, and Jesus was in Jerusalem at the time of Hanukkah, the Festival of Dedication. 23He was in the Temple, walking through the section known as Solomon’s Colonnade. 24The people surrounded him and asked, “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” (John 10:22-23)

@@kkiv1639 If you think that Sun festival of 25 December wasn't digested by Early Christians as Christmas and birth of Christ, it's your lack of knowledge.
Just Read some history. Greko-Roman people used to worship the sun to wave winter off after winter solstice on and around 25 December.
First world Christianity now maybe tolerant, obviously because of lack of political power and guilt, but the way Christianity operates in developing countries is a lot different and worse. Because it resembles the starting period of Christianity, in which they used lies and deceit to convert people.

We Hindus are always ready for a party or celebration , we celebrate Christmas with as much pomp as Diwali. The masterful art of the devious Roman Catholic church was to ensure December was a holiday month for school kids , bonuses are paid to feed into the Xmas economy & western New year was built into the festive season. Pre xtian rituals , symbols , culinary cuisine reserved just for Xmas made it all that more special yet how many xtians will admit to the fact that 25th December was not the birthday of Jesus ? The Nativity is mostly made up of lies yet as the saying goes ' repeat a lie long enough & as many times as possible & it becomes a believable truth' . So Xmas to us Hindus us ABT the lunches , the revelry , the presents under the tree , the coca cola father Xmas , pudding & family time & holidays. Post exam stress free. The Indian xtian can do the religious part we will do the party part.

Since you couldn't stop hindus from celebrating Xmas,so now to feel good you say you will do the party only..We couldn't care less..No one can stop us from worshipping only one true living God no matter how hard you try..
The Roman empire tried it with burning Christians at stake and feeding Christians to hungry lions..What happened then ?
Well,to your disliking the whole Roman empire became Christians.
You know very well that hindus and dalits and Buddhists are throwing away idols of your dieties and many are accepting Jesus Christ as their God even after anti conversion law😂
And yeah don't assume we are naive , we very well know you threatened and beat up Christians from following Christ in VAIN.

hindus in India killing Christians , priests and pastors, vandalising church ,vehicles and Christian properties. They even loot the donation box ,threaten the Christian converts, stop Christmas celebration, burn santa claus effigies, stop Carol singing, burn Bibles, demand installation of hindu goddess in Christian institutions, chant strange hindu mantras inside a church , kill people for eating beef and send their children to study in a convent school.
Why don't you go to your baalwadi or your guru kool ?

No we don't celebrate Christmas and surely not as much as Diwali.
Maybe we'll celebrate Christmas when Christians will give this Sun worshipping festival back to Pagans and stop associating it with Christ.
