When I was 12 and brought home a $1 album from the bargain bin, a band I'd never heard of, but going by the cover, it wasn't going to be pop, and put it in my Radiogram (yes!), I was blown away! The raw guitar sound was what really caught me, and it was different on every song! I'd bought the original release of Too Fast for Love before it was re-worked, I still crave that sound, the re-release just doesn't quite do it for me.
Mick Mars is a Master riff maker, every bit as good as Iommi or any other. Shout at the Devil has so many killer riffs. Even their covers, like Smokin' In The Boys Room is a riff that they made all their own. Badass.

What made Mick Mars unique was that he was a blues guy...and you can hear that influence in his playing. He's one of my fave players.....phenomenal.
