My 1957 TO has a nut on the retaining bolt like yours.

I think from the FE35 onwards over here they had the nut so it seems.

Great job lance. Is copper a must have in the bush you cut the track in,the reason I ask is that I have a bush in my te 20 front axle and it's steel.Keep up the good work.

Wow Goldie's engine is really tall compared to my TO20 Continental engine. I was real impressed with the heft of the differential on it as well. Actually, the whole thing is well built. I'd love to have one but I don't think there are any in the US.

G Day T, i have a photo on my wall of a TO35, that looks to have a lot of similar parts from the outside but has the grille we use in the TE20. Nice looking tractor.

Hi Lance, do you know if the centre beam of the front axle on a 3cyl MF35 is the same as on a TED20 tractor? They certainly look the same but someone on Facebook has told me they're not the same. I want to replace the centre beam on my MF35 and I can get a good one off a TED20 but if they are different it's no use to me. Sparex offer replacement centre beams for both tractors and they're the same part number. Same with Agriline. I thought I'd ask if you knew. Thanks. Peter.

The only difference can be is that the early ones had a very thin pivot bush but the later ones had a fat flanged bush. If you get an early one it is not a big job to machine it to fit the 35 bush, I do that often. The 35 will fit backwards to a TE20 though.

Normally on those pins with bolts they need to have the tabs not clamped tight or over time they fatique and break the tabs. I doubt this machine will see the hours though for it to ever matter. :-)

G Day Brian, Yeah there seems to be a fine line between sloping around and having some give, Im going to fit a grease nipple into the pivot to take any extra stress away.

G Day Don, No snow here ever we are on the tropic of Capricorn so a cold day here is a morning front then a nice sunny day at around 25deg C. No greas fittings on the front axle but I do put one onto the pivot next episode.
