Going to Galaxy’s Edge for the first time in July. Your videos have helped me immensely in planning this trip, and I can’t thank you enough. I plan on coming home with at least three lightsabers 😂
@@MultiverseAsheville Little late comment, that's the issue. They don't provide the replaceable battery pack. Same goes to Qui-gon as well. Unless the battery dies within 30 days to make a whole replacement.
I like the legacy sabers for the most part. I have a few of them, but this one just looks way too big. I understand why they upsized it, but it's just comically large to the point of it being undesirable. edit: wanted to add. The rechargable battery doesn't seem like a good idea for longevity. I have a Master Replicas Vader saber from 2003. I can still swap out the batteries and it still works like new. I doubt a battery pack will hold much of a charge in nearly 20 years.
I bought mine last week at WDW and it doesn’t work! After charging it for a couple hours, the red light was solid red. After unplugging the cable, it starts blinking. Inserting the blade makes the connection sound but blade doesn’t ignite. My home park is Dland so hoping to exchange it there when I go next week. Was excited for a rechargeable hilt but this is a BAD START!
Even though I can afford to buy lightsabers. Just watching you makes me forget it and thanks for sharing with us each of your lightsaber and their effects. More power!
Sir James, I bought this saber the day it came out. Yesterday, July 8th I had to return it! I had worn it back in the park on the 5th and clipped it on the belt clip. The thumb screw is a flaw!!! Beware buyer! It simply unscrews the USB plate and loosen and drops to the ground! I loved 😍 ♥️ the saber but can't afford to use it in this matter. I'd exchanged it for Pol Koon's saber instead. Plus ➕️ it's lighter.
Well first of all I love his attitude towards the clones unlike most Jedi he saw them as more than just as expendable soldiers, second I love his lightsaber's and his look
it would be interesting to do a side by side comparison with the Black series elite. they look to me like they are identical in size and design - even down the the red and green buttons which don't do anything on the legacy, but activate the blade effects on the BS elite.
Anakin’s is only sold as a set now with blade, stand and clip. They’re $237 after tax and can be found at the Star Wars trading post near space mountain or the trading post in downtown Disney.
Good review. Yeah the saber is big because of the size of the blades that interchange with the savi's and other legacy sabers as well. But for.the price compared to the high end expensive ones. Not too bad.
Great review, as always. Have you thought about reviewing the Disney Store/Disney Parks Vader or Skywalker Legacy Sabers that come with a Blade, Belt clip and stand? I'm curious if they are any different from Dok Ondars.
if it's a legacy saber then its just a repackaged saber with extra's nothing more nor different then the hilt I already covered / if it's a Disney park saber instead unsure about what makes them different from legacy hilts
@@SirJamesIGamerfuzion Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up. I had seen someone comparing the mace windu set to the galaxys edge hilt and apparently the blade was brighter and activation switch was much less loose, but the hilt was identical otherwise.
Hello, I want to get into collecting sabers (mostly for display purposes only) is there something good to start with. I've been looking at the .45 master replicas ones and the Galaxy Edge ones too. I'm not very knowledgeable about both so I've been watching reviews and I'm still stuck on what to pick. Any suggestions that someone might have would be very appreciated! thank you
Depends on what you want. The .45 scale sabers are tiny. If you're looking for an accurate replica, then they are not what you want. The galaxy's edge sabers are a nice, budget friendly option to collect sabers. But, the electronics aren't the greatest. There's a whole community of companies that make movie accurate hilts with better electronics than the galaxy's edge or Hasbro sabers. However, these are way more expensive generally. So it comes down to how much you want to spend. If you're just looking for something to display that is affordable, stick to the galaxy edge sabers. I'd also recommend going to the r/lightsabers subreddit and asking this. Can get much more knowledgeable feedback.
Does the park in Cali still have Jedi/Sith robes? When I went to the one here in FL in April, the Black Spire didn't have anything other than hoods. I apologize for asking it during this video, just wasn't sure where else to ask 😅
Which custom saber company would you say would be the best one to go to for a more accurate Darth Sidious lightsaber as it is one I hope to get at some point
What do I think? “It’s treason then…” Honestly, I prefer the Force FX Elite version from Hasbro. Smoother ignition, a tad more responsive with the clash and movements. Plus the little bonus “force lightning” color change feature (not the best gimmick but still pretty fun) 😅
Honestly, I wish they would release a movie accurate series that don't actually accept the blades, but are 100% visually accurate to the movie props, and also feature all the moving switches and dials, etc that would be on it in universe. Perhaps even openable to see the internals that would exist in canon
Maybe not a full-size blade, but perhaps a 3/4" blade, like the kind from Ripper Blades? I think it could accommodate one of those, and look rather nice.
Do you have to buy the blade? Or does the hilt thingy come with one? I ordered the same thing you have on the Disney site but idk If I need to buy a blade too

I don't think the rechargeable battery is a plus. Mine suddenly stopped working. It appears the battery has failed. There doesn't appear to be any way to replace it without causing damage. This design has essentially made these things bricks after a year or too. I'm very bummed. At the same time I have 3 others that are powered by AAA batteries and they all work perfectly still.
Dude idk how you manage to survive wearing all these heavy jackets in southern cali haha, they all look amazing but i used to live in cali and this time of year is so so hot that i would die wearing any kind of coat in that cali summer sun
I have the Sideous black series elite, and it looks like an exact duplicate of the legacy, size for size. The black series has different blade functions. the red and green buttons on the hilt will initiate force lightning effects, blaster bolt deflection effect, and blade cutting effects. to me, quality is the same, but the BS elite have more blade effects.
I’m trying to figure out if it’s the charging pack or the blade. :( it doesn’t seem to hold a charge but the charger lights up. And when it’s plugged in, the blade doesn’t light up. It will make a blade on and off connection sound though. 🤷🏻♀️ can’t find much info
But making it bigger allows them to possibly reuse previous parts/molds in the manufacturing process which is cheaper than having to create new ones. This is also marketed towards kids as well, not just replica collectors.

I wonder if they will ever add Yoda's, it would be weird proportionally so they might have to size it up
