During my service in the Military, my Nokia got hit by a tank. And with hit I mean, the tank just got it at the Edge with its tires and it bounced of. The Screen was a bit busted on the let hand corner, but still works and got it till now. Those things will take a beating if necessary.
Them Guys That I cannot answer. I can only tell you it got broken when it fell off my partner's desk at work. What she did with it before, I don't know!
The back of my Lumia 920 has a spot which is all scratched because of putting it on the table a lot. The screen has several scratches from keeping it in the same pocket as my keys (only a few times!) are in as well. And a few from dropping the phone. After using it for 2 years and letting it slip out of my hand (the phone's pretty wide) it still hasn't broken and still looks really good!
I guess other people just rub it off on me. I had learned half of my English by reading and internet stuff. It's not really my 1st Language. (Re-read it and yeah. It sounds confusing as fuck)
plusko Getting hit in the face with a rubber hammer = extensive damage needing plastic surgery to hopefully ever look normal again. Getting hit with equal force in the face with a metal hammer = instant death. And both those hits would be MUCH harder than the force put into the rubber mallet in this test. Swap that rubber mallet for a normal over the counter "Stanley" hammer and that phone would be dead.
plusko As is hitting it with a rubber mallet. It doesn't test anything of relevance to everyday use. Dropping it from pocket height onto a hard floor, like what you might find in a stairwell in an apartment building would be more relevant. This isn't a consumer advice test, this is a "showing how awesome the Nokia Lumia 920 is" test. Nothing more or less. I'm sure it's a sturdy phone though. All the Nokias I've had have had good build quality and been able to take a bit of a beating. Just too bad this one isn't an Android based phone.

Really? A rubber mallet? Try going through BOTH insurance claims because your wife keeps dropping it on the concrete.....Try dropping a concrete slab on this phone and see what happens...lol
A lot of people think Fukushima was an accident caused by nature, but it was in fact just an employee who lost his Lumia 900 onto the reactor block causing irreversible damage and a meltdown.
Wow. Thanks for this video. My screen protector was falling off, and I was looking around for a replacement....then I came across this video....I guess I shouldn't be so worried afterall.
The fact your phone screen was cracked easily doesn't make the video fake. It's basic physics - if forces are applied at just the correct angle and pressure then the glass can crack, even if it's a very low drop height.
I have the deepest gut feeling that you're finnish, but I don't mind, because I agree! THE NOKIA IS THE KING OF STURDY PHONES! back in the day even. I remember people dropping their nokias like nothing, and just dusting it off after like it was nothing Same with this phone so it seems
Try this test (this happened to me with my htc 8x and got horribly scratched): On a floor with particles of dust put the phone with the screen facing down. Then push it and slide it a little against the floor.
When nokia first came out, it broke bones, now the ones recently out, it breaks steel. Few years from now, a new nokia will be used as a weapon in the military.
I have had this phone in pocket with keys for ages and no scratch. You must have been very unlucky. I did crack the screen on one once by dropping it at a slanted angle though. It still worked. Only gave up the ghost when I dropped it in water.
*3310*: Son...
*Lumia 920*: Yes, Daddy?
*3310*: [sniff] [manly tears] ...I'm proud of you!
KajiTetsushi LOL !!
+KajiTetsushi Omfg im dead XDD
When you drop a Nokia phone, the earth shatters.
Great, I've been needing a new hammer :D
WOW
And just in case you need a discounted phone to use that hammer plus.google.com/104923498734515538555/posts/7Z1Gm18r5iQ
Try crushing it with a real hammer, then watch the Nokia destroy the hammer...... But still in glad to see Nokias made a come back
I was worried when he was going to use the mallet, not for the phone but I thought the mallet would break.
i feel sorry for that hammer.. :D
I felt sorry for that nail
Jamie Minnamon I fell sorry for the video
Kaleb NsanE I feel sorry for the guy in the video... He needs some psychological help :)
Nehal Patel i think its not his phone... its a build and quality test that companies do...
In mother Russia, phone tests you.
Please give this man a medal for this genius comment.
You sir have made my week.
Thank you.

I have a broken one here - it fell on the floor from an office desk.
Naw man, you didn't drop it, you threw it.
Andrei Sandu
OK then, I threw it out of a window on the 56th floor when a steamroller was passing - but it is still broken!!
***** Lol told you
***** is it a lumia 920 though?? and if it is broken, how did it *really* break?
Them Guys
That I cannot answer. I can only tell you it got broken when it fell off my partner's desk at work. What she did with it before, I don't know!
The older Nokia versions are even stronger.
The back of my Lumia 920 has a spot which is all scratched because of putting it on the table a lot. The screen has several scratches from keeping it in the same pocket as my keys (only a few times!) are in as well. And a few from dropping the phone.

Lets be serious, nokias arent indestructible but can only be broken if you want to.
If you look at the tag closely on 7:15 when he lays the hammer down, it says "Rubber mullet".
You must be the one that needed that particular information in writing. Jeez...
I guess other people just rub it off on me. I had learned half of my English by reading and internet stuff. It's not really my 1st Language. (Re-read it and yeah. It sounds confusing as fuck)
There is anyone who can´t clearly see that hammer is rubber from first look?
Come on look on it nobody can think it is not rubber.
lemme hit u in the face with one of those... dont worry its rubber
hahaha
Nokia IS the best phone.
One of the reason I loved my Nokia Lumia 920. Every time I dropped it, I never worried if damage took place
The hammer is rubber.
I think Nokia lumia better than iphone
Put it in a blender.
I yelled in horror every time he tested it ...I felt it in my bones ..I love you Nokia my loyalty is to you
my dads Nokia broke by throwing it
My galaxy s3 's screen cracks seein this :(
Try that "mallet" test again with a regular metal hammer. To be honest, this test doesn't prove anything that is relevant to owning a smartphone.
plusko

That is true.
"And im gonna put a hammer on it and see if it breaks the screen." Me "No, i guess a hammer is not strong enough."
Guys with that hammer i bet you can kill someone easily... its still very strong.
tenia que ser un nokia

siiiii lo se fue hace banda:s ya tengo el mio:3
am I the only one who laughed my ass off when he started using the phone as a hammer? XDD
Good old Nokia's, they've always been the best phones at taking a beating
Good thing he did the knife test, I regularly beat my phone with a knife. Now I know I can get this phone!!
Dudeee!! i was holding my breath whn u hammered it!! I think i made a personal best holding my breath!
Really? A rubber mallet? Try going through BOTH insurance claims because your wife keeps dropping it on the concrete.....Try dropping a concrete slab on this phone and see what happens...lol
Thats the new Nokia Brick of smart phones.
I almost pissed myself when he scratch the screen xD
A lot of people think Fukushima was an accident caused by nature, but it was in fact just an employee who lost his Lumia 900 onto the reactor block causing irreversible damage and a meltdown.
This is like the Iron Man of phones. haha.
Wow. Thanks for this video. My screen protector was falling off, and I was looking around for a replacement....then I came across this video....I guess I shouldn't be so worried afterall.
this is why Nokia is referred to as the Chuck Norris phone now you know
You could be a master chef with that cutting action....
Nokia has always had great production values
Loool this was uploaded on my birthday last year
I love your freaking cool videos rock on ppl!!!!
The Nokia cannot be destroyed by any craft that we here possess, it was made in the fires of the Nokia factory, only there can it be unmade.
He's teaching us how to prepare a Nokia Lumia before eating.
i like reading things like this, it's so interesting.
mind blowing.....i m proud that i have a 920.....but speaking truly i would never hit even my old nokia 1110 like that hahahahaha thumbs up ...
that´s one crazy test !!! fine, I´ll get a Nokia next time....lol
Recommended in 2020 . Anyone else??😂
i never thought someone would actually have trouble breaking a phone LOL
I'm watching a durability test for a phone I don't have, nor plan on purchasing. What has my life come to?
Beautiful test
I do this routine regularly with my Nokia 920.
Key scratch, then knife, then hammer.
All in a days work.
The fact your phone screen was cracked easily doesn't make the video fake. It's basic physics - if forces are applied at just the correct angle and pressure then the glass can crack, even if it's a very low drop height.
The clasp on my purse has shattered my nokia lumia 920's screen.
Bate você num Galaxy. rsrs
Even their older phones were indestructible!
hahaha I started singing the knife song when he started slashing the phone
Nokia: You ain't got enough badges to train me.
Now on to the final test... the train.
I can't watch this I'm getting chills!! hahahaha
He's not trying full strength to break it. He's hitting it hard enough to test it, but not too hard as to be impractical in a realistic situation.
I dropped mine at the top of a hard wood staircase. The screen popped out but I just had to reinsert it and its good as new
just got the 920. broke 2 820's within a span of 2 weeks. Thankfully, my wife is a very patient woman. lol hopefully this model hold up.
Shuuu .. I broke my phone's screen within only 2 days , Lumia 920 didn't survive Ghannoum's Test :D
Nah man, it's a Bruce Lee phone. I've ordered one myself. :D
Wow it still looks brand new
I think this man change the test phone ...... In all these tests
7:20 It says on the mallet 'Rubber Mallet'. Wtf are you kidding me
Nokia 3310:"You have done a good job my son, I am proud of you."
Try this test (this happened to me with my htc 8x and got horribly scratched):
On a floor with particles of dust put the phone with the screen facing down. Then push it and slide it a little against the floor.
i always wanted a phone that could replace my toolbox
I can just imagine you saying that in a Samuel L. Jackson accent. It's a funny thought.
I havet seen a nokia phone more durable than my E75, until I came across this video that is. It's time for an upgrade.
2023 y sigo alusinando con ese telefono. Que regresen con esa calidad y andriod y van a barrer el mercado !!!
I got this in my recommendations in 2020!
Nokia Lumia 920 inherited his indestructibility from Nokia 1100
you can clearly see the label on the mallet it says"Rubber mallet"
Old Nokia would be ever so proud!
When nokia first came out, it broke bones, now the ones recently out, it breaks steel. Few years from now, a new nokia will be used as a weapon in the military.
Dude are you serious !! tah, i could never put my cell in this kinds of testings !!!!!!
It's a nokia, it fell from the sky and killed the dinosaurs, it can take a little punishment ;)
THAT PHONE IS MAGICAL
Can you make a video on the Nokia lumia 521?
sonra bunları izleyip milyarlık telefonları kırmaya çalışıyorlar :D
If that were to happen, the shockwave would knock earth out of orbit.
Yeah! I'm from Finland. Nokia is from Finland. :)
omg this isnt normal i'm going to buy this phone asap
The shirt you wear has great power.
This is an amazing phone, but like my grandpa says...Hatters gonna be hate :3
no it dint finish they are still making it man, the company is still running. Indians are awesome
Phonebuff u dont do this to samsung S4??? i dont think so
the way he used a rubber mallet
Wow... the "test" methods are just... wow... i cant believe it
I have had this phone in pocket with keys for ages and no scratch. You must have been very unlucky. I did crack the screen on one once by dropping it at a slanted angle though. It still worked. Only gave up the ghost when I dropped it in water.
LOL at 7:12 RUBBER MALLET LMAO
That durability
Mom: Help me hang this painting
Me: Wheres the hammer?
Mom: I don't know...
Me: Let me grab my phone...
the hammer said "rubber hammer" WOOPPSSS XD XD
Maybe the who sold the cellphone to you, gave a galaxy S3, and wrote "Nokia 920" with a sharpie pen...and that's why got that result!
