I like option #2 for the quest. The thrill of the hunt and it is also a very doable. Option #4 has already been done and your chosen artist may back out for any number of reasons.
I'd be interested in the Captain Carrot statue if you go that route, so you would only need to find 34 others (as long as it's the original and not the newer realistic version from Justice League Incarnate).
At first when he said we were going to vote on where he spends his money I was worried he was going to talk about different charities he wants to donate to... imagine my relief when he said its just more stuff he wants to collect for himself
I am working on the Batman Villians myself, so that would be super cool to see you work through that as well. But DANG the villian headshot commision is a FANTASTIC idea.
I’m going for Option 1. I read all those back when they came out in the 90s, and to have them as a complete run would be damn near amazing. Want to make it even more difficult? Make them all 9.8 Signature Series Yellow Label! Every 1 of them needs to be signed by the writer/artist or some part of the creative team. That would be insane, and a beautiful collection!
Obviousely the option 2 : DCU Logo. 1. You can slab the DCU LOGO 2. And read those stories in the regular form ( usually 1dollar bins). Best of both worlds!
I love all the options yet I pick option 1. I fell in love with your channel because you have an entire Knightfall run in 9.8 which my personal favorite Batman arch and option 1 is uniquely you James !!
#1 because it's an extension of something you've already been working hard at collecting. That clearly means that you have a love for it, so you would love this as well. Not to say that you wouldn't with the others but I really like the idea of you finishing out these runs.
#2 option 2 is the way to go. I love those variants and you'll be hunting them for a while, getting more and more new ones and not fighting to get 9.8s for the same comics over and over again. It's better content 'cause it's always new.
i think option 1: knightsquest/knightsend 9.8 sounds the coolest. i love that story, and i think tracking down all those 90s covers would be challenging but doable. the bat-villain first appearances would be my second choice because that’s a similar challenge with some nice variety to it. commissioning the headshots would be cool because it’s original art, but there wouldn’t be any long term searching involved, it would just be paying the one artist. the dc universe variants are less interesting to me because it’s just a corner logo on otherwise less remarkable comics. and the statues are not as cool to me as the comics, although i do love captain carrot. good luck with whichever option you end up doing!
I’ve been watching you for a few years now and you love your DCU variants so thats going to be my vote. Get all the raw variants in some nice top loaders and have a great display. Good luck.
I love the idea of Batman villains headshots.. so many talented artists out there specially Jorge Jimenez for sure. But would anti-heroes count? Like Catwoman amongst others? Still cool idea!
I always love original art commissions because it gives you a connection to your favorite artist and it’s something that will be 1 of 1 which is always a selling point. So I’d say option 4!!!
As a Bunny Parent and Comic Nerd, I love the idea of the Captain Carrot statue! Maybe you could work together with the sculptor and launch a Kickstarter to fund it! I'd back that campaign!
Option 3 is crazy and great you are a staute collector so this will get you back into the game much deeper and fall back inlove with statue collecting I wanna see you reignight your passion for statue collecting
I'm onboard for your quest for the Bat-Villains in a 9.8! His Rogue Gallery is what got me into comics in the first place and was an early collecting goal! I'm still working on that particular dream so I'd love to somebody put it together!
I'm going for #1 for the sake of being easier to get framed and to explain. I've gotten enough of my military items and I often appreciate what's easier to explain. I can tell you are more passionate about some of the other topics like Captain Carrot, but that's my thought process.
bro, i had every single comic of the batman- knightfall trilogy. my late grandma bought it all for me when it was on QVC back in the day. she gave me part of it on my birthday and the other half on christmas. what a year that was for a really young me. lol. i miss those times. #roadto40k
Honestly, I think full runs aren't really a great collecting choice. I wouldn't go with the statues either, but DCU variants have a high collect ability, so that would be my first choice.
I am requesting option 2 for you. My reason is I think your followers/fans would help you out. I’ve seen the list for DC Universe variants and it’s Epic! Good Luck on your choices!
I’ve been trying to complete the full pre-Knightfall/Knightfall/Knightquest/KnightsEnd story in 9.8 for a while now. I’m up to 63 out of 94. It’s doable, but trying to root out Justice League Task Force issues can be frustrating. I’ve been working on a Death/Funeral/Reign/Return of Superman in 9.8 as well. Supergirl and Team Luthor #1 has proven to be a PITA!
My personal choice would be the DC logo variants......but because it was a love of yours at the infancy of your channel....my vote is for the Batman villain statues
Option 4! It’s a great excuse to get out to the cons! Plus there are so many talented up and comers that would be happy to take on the job so you could even do it on the cheap.
Go with option 5 and the bat villains in 9.8. Batman villains are mostly interesting. Statues get expensive and space is an issue. Statues are also harder to sell for value if you change your mind.
If this is just you spending the money for yourself and not to resell, I personally believe option #4, the Batman Villain headshots would be the better choice. Everything else seems to require a great amount of space, and should you ever find yourself needing to sell in the future, you'll spend more time looking for a seller for the other collections. With the commissioned art, it not only looks and displays well, but you'll have that one of a kind sketch by a known artist which is already two positives for it, but then added with batman? You'll have a larger market of potential buyers should you ever need to sell.
I'm going with #4 too. Those things are so great because they are so personal. When I met John Romita Jr I got him to do one for me and it's framed with a #1 Spider-Man from the current run. Love it!
I like option 4. I'm doing the same on blank covers. I am choosing different artists for each villain. Some of the ones I am considering are not known for Batman. I really want to see their take on Bat-Villains.
I like option #4 There are so many different styles you could get done plus it it could be great for the artist to be part of something unique and cool
Not one of the options, but I would like to see you buy every comic published in March plus all the variants and show them off and have a synopsis for each story.
Go for #1. The custom headshots would be #2. There are some really cool books and covers to have, and it's the cheapest option. You're saving for a house and the baby, go for the theoretical cheaper option.
Me personally I would do either option 4 or 5. 5 honestly sounds like the best bang for your buck and I’d actually comics so I’d probably lean more with it.
Personally I would not do the DC universe, because the hunt on Those is so much fun. Every time I find one in the wild it feels like I'm finding lost treasure. Sometimes the journey is the prize.
I would say option #5. The CGC unboxing videos led me to your channel and I would really like to see some comparable content plus the idea is quite original.
I'd probably go with 1. The headshot idea is interesting. I know your going to go with an established bat artist but I think Pat Gleeson would be worth trying to get. His headshot spiderman covers are fantastic.
Option #1 gets my vote. It's the most financially responsible. I don't collect variant covers... especially when it comes to just a logo in the barcode box. Option #5 would be my 2nd place vote.
I think 6 would be dope but it depends how patient you are. For the more immediate, 1 to round out your wall. That'd be quite the unique piece that maybe no one else has!
3 - I'm in the middle of obtaining custom 1:4 Superman villains (turnaround has been around 4 months) so watching you do the same with Batvillains would be cool!
I like option #2 for the quest. The thrill of the hunt and it is also a very doable. Option #4 has already been done and your chosen artist may back out for any number of reasons.
Very recently got into comic collecting, and your videos help me so much...Thank you
I'd be interested in the Captain Carrot statue if you go that route, so you would only need to find 34 others (as long as it's the original and not the newer realistic version from Justice League Incarnate).
At first when he said we were going to vote on where he spends his money I was worried he was going to talk about different charities he wants to donate to... imagine my relief when he said its just more stuff he wants to collect for himself
Your love for all comics and not just keys, is evident in your body of work! Keep up the great job!
I would say either 3 or 4. Leaning more towards 4. It would be so awesome to have original sketches from one of your favorite artists
Obviousely the option 2 : DCU Logo.
1. You can slab the DCU LOGO
2. And read those stories in the regular form ( usually 1dollar bins). Best of both worlds!
I love all the options yet I pick option 1. I fell in love with your channel because you have an entire Knightfall run in 9.8 which my personal favorite Batman arch and option 1 is uniquely you James !!
Statue collection and the original art would be my picks! Super unique collections and would be a sick journey to watch!
#1 because it's an extension of something you've already been working hard at collecting. That clearly means that you have a love for it, so you would love this as well. Not to say that you wouldn't with the others but I really like the idea of you finishing out these runs.
1, That'd be a pretty cool addition to your collection.
#2 option 2 is the way to go. I love those variants and you'll be hunting them for a while, getting more and more new ones and not fighting to get 9.8s for the same comics over and over again. It's better content 'cause it's always new.
Option 2 is right up your alley and would be a good hunt for you. I would also love to see option 6 happen, but relying on others is always tough
Option #4 is the best one for a collector in my opinion. If you are doing well enough with the business, why not drop something for yourself.
I really do look forward to watching the content that comes out of which ever goal you decide on.
i think option 1: knightsquest/knightsend 9.8 sounds the coolest. i love that story, and i think tracking down all those 90s covers would be challenging but doable.
the bat-villain first appearances would be my second choice because that’s a similar challenge with some nice variety to it. commissioning the headshots would be cool because it’s original art, but there wouldn’t be any long term searching involved, it would just be paying the one artist. the dc universe variants are less interesting to me because it’s just a corner logo on otherwise less remarkable comics. and the statues are not as cool to me as the comics, although i do love captain carrot.
good luck with whichever option you end up doing!
I’ve been watching you for a few years now and you love your DCU variants so thats going to be my vote. Get all the raw variants in some nice top loaders and have a great display. Good luck.
I recommend Option #6! Let's GOOOO!!
I love the idea of Batman villains headshots.. so many talented artists out there specially Jorge Jimenez for sure. But would anti-heroes count? Like Catwoman amongst others? Still cool idea!
I say option 1 because it feels so good to complete a storyline from start to finish.
Thank you, Syracuse! - Clemson fan.
Option 4 sounds dope and you seemed the most excited about it so I’d say go with that one
Definitely the DCU logo variants. I need to see someone own a Catwoman #16 in that variant. 10 years and iv never seen one.
Definitely option one. Wish you tube did polls it would help you out a lot.
I always love original art commissions because it gives you a connection to your favorite artist and it’s something that will be 1 of 1 which is always a selling point. So I’d say option 4!!!
Neat ideas! I'd love to see you go for Option #1. I think it'd be amazing for you to get the entire KnightFallQuestEnd run in 9.8s.
To me your channel started with statue reviews. Option 3, every 1/4 scale Bat villain would be beyond amazing. Miss your statue vids too.
Option 4, and it would be really really cool if it was Brian Bolland.
I like option 5 the best. Would be really cool to display them all. Also fun to tell that story behind each one.
Option 2 would be amazing!!
Option 5. Sounds cool to do something like that. If you finish it quickly, you can work backwards into the 80's, also.
Ranked in order of priority: 2, 1, 5, 6, 4, 3. Option 5 would be the dopest for sure but 2 would be the most fun on the hunt.
As a Bunny Parent and Comic Nerd, I love the idea of the Captain Carrot statue! Maybe you could work together with the sculptor and launch a Kickstarter to fund it! I'd back that campaign!
Number 4 would be very fun. If you go that way, I strongly suggest you have a list of artists you want to have OAs from and go from there.
Option #2 seems like it’d be the most fun in the end. Plus, you get to enjoy the issues, if you want.
Option 3, you’d enjoy them more. Also the GodSpeed statue I got from you is sick! Thank you again
Fun video. I think you should do #1 as it seems like it would be the most fun. The others seem rather… stressful (and pricey).
Option 3 is crazy and great you are a staute collector so this will get you back into the game much deeper and fall back inlove with statue collecting I wanna see you reignight your passion for statue collecting
I also think a full run of the DC Logo variant would be amazing
I'm onboard for your quest for the Bat-Villains in a 9.8! His Rogue Gallery is what got me into comics in the first place and was an early collecting goal! I'm still working on that particular dream so I'd love to somebody put it together!

Option 5. I use both CGC and CBCS, but CBCS needs the support more and they do random discounts on grading throughout the year.
I think option 1 is definitely the coolest plus it connects perfectly with a collection that you already own.
I like option #4. These would be truly unique to your collection.
Option 1 is my pick. You already have all of part 1. Might as well keep going!
I’ve been trying to complete the full pre-Knightfall/Knightfall/Knightquest/KnightsEnd story in 9.8 for a while now. I’m up to 63 out of 94. It’s doable, but trying to root out Justice League Task Force issues can be frustrating.

Option 4! It’s a great excuse to get out to the cons! Plus there are so many talented up and comers that would be happy to take on the job so you could even do it on the cheap.
I'm going to go with 4. Love that idea!
Option 4 is cool but I think I’d prefer you do Option 2
The amount of work to track some of those DCU Rares ones would be fun to watch.
Go with option 5 and the bat villains in 9.8. Batman villains are mostly interesting. Statues get expensive and space is an issue. Statues are also harder to sell for value if you change your mind.

That Bat-Villain commission sounds fun. I’m an Indy comic book artist and it sounds so fun that I’d do it for you for free.
Seriously though... personally? DC UNIVERSE upc books would be something to see James. I gotta go 2!
Option 4 would be awesome!
#1 Knights Quest. It’s not your typical Batman goto collection and its sounds unique.
I like the statue option, If they don't all fit in your house, they can decorate your store!
Option 4. Unique and just for you. Perfect.
I like the DCU variant option, sounds like a fun challenge
Option 2. DCU logo!
Option 1 seems more your style but DCU Variants would probably be the better investment.
Option 4 sounds great and Option 1 would be my second choice.
I like option 1, I feel like it will be most satisfying to see along side your others once completed.
Option 4. Having your own personal 1:1 of every bat villain would be awesome.
Option 6. Scotti Young is good, too. Thank you for your content.
Without a doubt, DC UNIVERSE.
They are comic hunting prizes!
Option #4 would be an awesome quest.😊
Collecting on the modern Bat-villains would be fun, getting all in 9.8 may be the hard part, so I vote for that option.
I like option #4 There are so many different styles you could get done plus it it could be great for the artist to be part of something unique and cool
#6 because we need more Captain Carrot love.
Great video, I have to go with #1. It's super close between 1 and 5.

I would say option #5. The CGC unboxing videos led me to your channel and I would really like to see some comparable content plus the idea is quite original.
You should go for option#1. Finish up that Jean Paul Valley Batman saga. I know you can do it. I have faith in you, dude 👍🏻
#2 and #5 are both interesting but my vote is for #4, the headshot custom artwork. I think that would be amazing.
option 1. a complete run of Knightfall, Knightsquest and Knightsend would be amazing
I'd probably go with 1. The headshot idea is interesting. I know your going to go with an established bat artist but I think Pat Gleeson would be worth trying to get. His headshot spiderman covers are fantastic.
Option 4! I love the original art sketch coverS
Option 4 sounds like a good plan 👍🏻
Option 4 seems like itll be cool and display really well!
James you’re looking very healthy lately keep it up
Option #1 gets my vote. It's the most financially responsible. I don't collect variant covers... especially when it comes to just a logo in the barcode box. Option #5 would be my 2nd place vote.
I go with 2. I'd like to see all the DCUs in one place.
Bro, I have feelings 1 & 2 you are doing just for the business. So go big go captin carrot. Image a mint hunters exclusive statue. Dope !
How could #1 possibly be good for business? I think that’s the least liable to make a return on investment out of the entire list
Option 4. This sounds great to have. Good luck 🍀👍
Option 1 to go along with your 9.8 Knightfall run 🤙
Gotta go with 6 man, would be super epic especially with what they could do!
