@@aled702 yeah exactly the people whom trained via the old route spent far longer on the streets prior to becoming paramedics than the ones that qualify these days as their training time on the street prior to the exams was significantly longer than modern paramedics at one point I had several friends that were old school technicians and they were basically told that after a certain point everyone had to attend university and spend one year at university and one year on the street and the trusts were asked to either upskill all their staff which wasn't possible due to the number of places provided or consider deskilling people to ECA's instead I had one friend that had literally just completed his technician training in the final training block before they were abolished because of the stupid assumption that you had to actually have a degree to be a paramedic due to my mum being a former auxiliary nurse at one point I knew loads of them that were exceptionally competent and dyslexic and they only found out that fact because the ambulance service tested them for it and they would never have passed university but they were exceptional at their jobs the apprenticeship routes such as the old school technicians were the best ways to train
You need to know the whole story. The guy who attacked him was in love with the younger female paramedic. He thought he was in love with her too so attacked him. It was part of a stalker storyline.

Oh my gosh
What was the point of the attack on him if the attacker didn't take any drugs or anything else?

Also you'll be surprised how many paramedics are assaulted for no reason :/
