This rerecording blew my mind, she improved everything unexpectedly, it's like she added glitter and lights on every song idk how to explain it lol I just loved it so much. My favorite Vault Tracks were Say Don't Go and Suburban Legends, it's a crime they were released just now.

I love how she screams the "I said I love you" part of "Say Don't Go", like she is desperate... and then when she says "You said nothing back" the song goes silent as to make us feel the uncomfortableness and the heartbrokenness of that moment. That was amazing

I too wish Now That We Don't Talk was more lengthier but it kind of reflects the relationship between Taylor and Harry which this song and album was based on. It was very short-lived. It's one of my fav vault tracks but I just kinda wish we had one more verse or a bridge..

The main reason is that they have a similar theme to other songs on the album or they have a different vibe than what she intended for the album.

I think the thing with Now That We Don’t Talk is it’s short BECAUSE you barely got to know that person. Love it so much, together with Say Don’t Go. Suburban Legends is shit though. We got nothing from that one and literally name one person except for Taylor that could relate to that song.

So the first 16 songs (for me) are un-skip-able easily. Blank space has always been one of my favorite songs of hers. I love the TV MUCH MORE. Like it’s the best. I genuinely can’t listen to any of the originals bc I literally love the TV more. The only songs I new from the original 1989 were Blank Space, shake it off, Welcome to New York(but just the chorus), wildest dreams, bad blood, and this love. So most of 1989 TV is literally new to me. (I’ve listened to snippets of the original after the re-recording tho) I hate the TV slander tho. It’s clearly better. Ok now for songs that I didn’t know, I know places, CLEAN,(omg imogen heap’s vocals. I noticed it the 2nd time I listened to it and then I checked the credits and she co-wrote clean. Pop icon) NEW ROMANTICS, and the vault tracks were amazing. This album 10/10 for me. And I’m not an all out swiftie. But Speak Now(TV) and Midnights converted me. (Edit: and now 1989 TV has fully converted me)
