I must say, I'd quite enjoy a longer video where you include going through looking for incorrect inscriptions, rotations errors, all the stuff you skip at the end. I find these videos therapeutic and I enjoy watching even if there aren't any particularly exciting coins.
This is exactly the time of year I start getting excited for the release of the annual set coming out too. I like both the GFOL & 2007 finds today Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻
I used the term ‘A case of the diddlies’ last week in work and received a rather satisfying blank stare from my colleague 😊 I’m not sure if it’s healthy to be so impressed by such things, but impressed I am, and I have no intention of ever stopping 😂
At the weekend I got 2 x £500 bags of £2s from my bank and though I got a GF of London and a 2016 Britannia, like Christopher, I am experiencing the law of diminshing returns, compared with what I used to get two or three years ago. Come on, ye Royal Mint, issue more commemoratives into circulation for us real collectors who refuse to pay ridiculous prices for our coins.
Yeah, I'm afraid I got frustrated with only being allowed 5 bags of coins a week and not getting anywhere much with the shops when I ask for change. I spe t a lot of money on a Northern Ireland 2 pound coin about 20 quid over market value. I hope it will grow in value over the coming years. I just got fed up not finding the rare coins. The Britannia Coin Company is expensive. I won't be buying again.
Hi Christopher collects, apologies if already answered, but just wondered why you have the Navy Centenary flag error in your £2 coin books, but not any other known errors. Thanks Andy.
2025 Annual Commemoratives are £5 - Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother 125 years since her birth, £2 - 200 Years of The Modern Railway, & 350 Years of Greenwich Observatory, 50p - Red Arrows, & Stories of WWII.
Do you ever have problems when ordering from the Royal Mint? Your videos got me in to collecting and recently I thought I would take the plunge but every time I place an order the mint mess it up in one way or another. The website isn’t great and calling the help line is painful as well. Am I just unlucky?
My wife gave me a technology that had a rotation error but on close inspection it had a loose centre and it was a fake. I collect fakes so I was happy until she charged me £2 for it😅
People like you ruin coin collecting as you take far to many out of circulation as your channel inspires more people to do the same then that means only a small proportion of people end up with a rare coin so when your hobbies collapses you will have know one to blame except yourself.
If a 50p has a mintage of, say 5,000,000 and Chistopher found one in EVERY single hunt he did. If he did 2 hunts a week it would take him over 48,000 years to get them all. C'mon, all the coins he takes out doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of the total amount of commemoratives out there. Of course, there are tons of collectors all in the same boat, it's just about luck. It seems misguided to have a go at one collector just because he has the opportunity to hunt large bags.
@monty.788 your wrong luck is when you spend your money in the shops and maybe get a new coin for your collection.taking huge amount out of banks and searching for them is selfish and basically trying to stop other people completing their collections .
i like the fire one and that coin looks like its been in a fire 4:55
Happy hunting!!!

Aaron West certainly has a talent for designing coins...🌟
i love the shiny 2007 one.

I was going too ask if you’d heard anything about next years coin sets .😎👍👍
I mentioned it on my latest Monday Mix vid, and have put the details of the commemoratives in the comments above.
Always the great fire 🔥

I got the Manchester commonwealth games coin working on a Christmas market stall on Sunday! (Of course swapped it for a technologies!)
Fire of London would be my choice
Hi Christopher, why did you put the army centenary coin on the bottom row?
Hi Christopher collects, apologies if already answered, but just wondered why you have the Navy Centenary flag error in your £2 coin books, but not any other known errors. Thanks Andy.
I think it is something like "my book , my rules".
😅

If you have everything except the Navy flag error would you finish the book because it is just a variant?
Will the Red Arrows coin hit before Christmas? My wallet is asking...😮
It's in the 2025 Annual set.
What do the purple numbers mean when they pop up?
It’s a tracker for how many he’s found of that type while completing the book
Is the army centenary a keeper now?
Hopefully I get the £2 great fire of London but yeah
First 👍
Did you buy any doge?

Do you not polish your pulls? Get some peek on there or something
Clean off all the fingerprints :)
I always wanted to pound coin
