      What really annoys me about pedestrians is when they press the wait signal on the pedestrian crossing and then cross the road there are some pedestrian crossings where I live that have the smart camera technology what that does is when a pedestrian is waiting to cross and does not Cross the pedestrian crossing smart camera technology will cancel the wait signal the pedestrian crossing stays Green

    Turkish people have PTSD towards pedestrian crossings. You can easily identify them still standing at the beginning of a crossing, even after you stopped. I've been living in the UK for more than 12 years now but still need reassurance before stepping my foot on the crossings 😅 What a difference between two countries and technically with the same traffic rules.

    Thanks for this amazing video. But I think that the Toucan Crossing looks more similar to a Zebra Crossing than to a Puffin Crossing. Because it has the same Yellow Beacon with White and Black Crossing lines like the Zebra Crossing. And no Traffic Lights and smart sensors like the Puffin Crossing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  Месяц назад

      The Highway Code says “Toucan crossings are similar to pedestrian crossings, but with an additional signal for bikes. They look like ordinary pedestrian crossings, with red and green man symbols, but next to the green man is a green cycle symbol.” 👍🏼

  • @Luki-jz6gm
    @Luki-jz6gm Год назад

    What if simply someone walking on the pavement (without signs to cross the road), and by the time I get to zebra crossing we will both be there at same time. I think I should just carry on as normal unless they stop and look for clear road as it's not right to just step on the road without looking. What I mean is you can't just stop everytime someone walking past zebra crossing, bit yeah there's cases people walk though without looking.

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  Год назад

      We would slow a little and keep an eye on them, just in case. Unless they jump in front of us, it’s safer to keep rolling than brake suddenly and get rear ended.

    The toucan crossing looks exactly like the first zebra crossing. Whats the difference? I dont think there are any markings to show that a bike can cross? 5:10. It mentions lights changing but its just the yellow flashing lights from the zebra crossing?
