You have a potential for the hot wire connection to touch the metal box. You grounded your outlet, but the box should be grounded too. The box itself has that internal bump to leave room for a green grounding screen. Splice your ground and connect it to your a green coded grounding screw on that bump. There are even kits of the grounding screw and a pigtail grounding wire to connect to your wired ground.
You do have an air gap between the box and the screws connected to the hot wire. So technically that is safety, but if something puts pressure on your box to collapse the metal, or the cord gets yanked with enough force to pull a hot wire loose, the next time that switch is closed while the hot wire is energised, there is going to be a painful zap.

Thank you for this, sometimes even though we know better we take shortcuts and pay for it later, I will take the time for tape and to ground each of those boxes ! Pinned your comment for any viewer to see !

The magnet idea is great so if you need to go mobil, you can just unplug it, attach it to a metal surface, and go.

This is awesome dude. I have been contemplating a switch setup for my miter saw in my shop forever. I have a bucket head vacuum under mine too, but I reach down and cut it on every time which is annoying af. You might have inspired me to finally do this 😂

You gotta! It’s worth every penny plus you feel kinda proud of yourself every time you use it - like you did something smart or something haha - just tape your screws and ground your box 😂
