That's Luigi for you. He has the second best regular frame data in the entire game with an average raw damage and reliable kill confirms, so he has one of the sickiest combo games in the entire game. If you ask who are the first and third place on frame data, is Sheik in first place (altough she lacks that raw damage per hit) and Luigi's brother with the bronze medal.

@@rookeyji5177 No he does not. Fair is frame 14, his tilts are not faster than average. He has actually the exact same frame data as Chrom and Samus (if you sum the frame data of all normal attacks), which is good but less than a lot of characters like Diddy, Mii Brawler, the Mario brothers, Sheik, Fox, Falco, Ken, Ryu, Pichu, Pikachu, Pit, Pac Man, Peach/Daisy, Meta Knight, Marth/Lucina, Kirby, Isabelle, Squirtle, Rosalina, Olimar, even Piranha Plant, and probably a lot of other ones.
When the zero to death is intermediate.
Even a beginner Luigi main should know it, and once you memorice it, it's moderately easy

Timing for beginner stuff is a lot easier, everything kinda just flows into one another.
You have to be absolutely perfect to get the last bit of the combo video but the beginner ones you can probably pull off yourself after a couple hours of grinding, at least I was able to and I don’t consider myself very good tbh

No, it's not. Timing, taking account for sdi, pulling that shit off in an actual game is rare.
@@theluigifan42Nearly all combos account for di, sdi, and more. That's how platform fighters work. At least this isn't melee where you literally do not have enough time to react to di or sdi, and have to read them. In ultimate, the buffer is so bad that you have enough time to react.
Idk what's scarier. The fact that Luigi has a true 0 to 100 that kills. Or the fact that he has 3 minutes of true combos that kill

I am a Luigi main, and I have always struggled with the zero to death. I did not know the soft hit of bair zero to death option. After some practice I am way more consistent with it. Finally. My Luigi has his combo.

WeToxicFew • well his neutral game just revolves around mashing aerials and zair to get a grab, and the combo game is pretty easy and intuitive. He is super passive and overcentralizing, and i would know i mained him for the first 6 months of ultimate

Man I wish there was a controller display on screen. I have 37 characters in Elite so far, Luigi is next on my list, but I can't even do the 0 to death grab- Luigi just feels so damn slippery and keeps full hoping when I just TAP the button slightly.

Just to today i discovered a combo that start from 0 and ends in 77 and throws opponets offstage.
The combo:
grab, d-throw, f-air, f-air (or n-air), grab, up throw, up air, b-air, dash attack
So many kill combos.......(pichu dies at 15%)

I know this is 2 months old, but apart from Luigi's combos he doesn't have much, in fact if you remove his combo game, he's just a bad version of Mario

My opinion on Luigi is that he pretty much has got no weaknesses apart from his god awful recovery. His neutral is rlly solid and can often kill u of on one hit. Fireball zair and fair zair are very good tools to either space and pressure ur opponent safely as well as reacting and punishing what they do and being able to close the gap cuz of Luigi’s very good ability to keep safe in his zone as he can bait out opponents from running in. Fire ball zair can bait ur opponent to approach, the zair can confirm into grabs down tilts and all of his ariels, can cover short hop approach’s and landing or grounded approaches as well as covering jump squats. Fair zair can pressure ur opponent and can set up into combos and grabs. He has one of the best combo games in the game, able to kill or get 80% of a hit in neutral. He has the best grab game as well with the infamous zero to death and other combos at like 10 20 30 40 which can kill u. He also has great out of shield options such as up smash, up b, jab, nair which can often kill. He also has rlly good edge trapping with zair,down tilt, down air and nair and can often kill of a good edge trap. Zair is useful for edge guards as Luigi doesn’t have to go of stage as well as it ruins certain recoveries and can combo into fair for edgeguardong. Overall very good high tier and only has his shitty recovery as a weakness. P.S sorry if I have bad grammar and spelling.

Was the spike hitbox on dair nerfed? I can't seem to get the dair combos after down throw.
Edit: for anyone else struggling to get the spike on the dair combo at 0:16, the dair is not a buffered short hop dair. You have to manually short hop and then dair to land the spike.

The things I find kinda sad with Luigi's combos is that if you're the opponent, the only chance to survive is Luigi messing up, not you playing smarter.
No one can dodge all the grab or nair in a single game.
Peach/Daisy's combos come into mind.

the video would be better if the inputs were shown and had some instruction. It took me a while to figure out what to do for the down throw midair down b and i had to look on the wiki to find out you have to mash special to get all the hits on the down b.
