In the southern cities of Honduras, like Choluteca the population is mostly decendents of indigenous, mixed with spanish. Black population is more concentrated in the northern of the Country, closer to the Caribean Sea, where there was a more significant importation of slaves from Africa. Garifuna culture is the best example, they are displayed all over the north coast, they have a very rich culture, very connected to their african roots.
