Whoa, that is very interesting. Especially when you spoke about Virgo Midheaven and Scorpio ascendant. I am Scorpio sun/rising and I have the Virgo midheaven and you are right. I am not offended at all. I have issues with emotions vs logic, since my Moon is in Aquarius... but this makes perfect sense. I don't get offended easily, most the time I let things go over my head that would normally make people mad... I do get irritated when I put a lot of work into something and people disregard it as inferior, but I pick myself up pretty fast so unless someone personally attacks my character, then I could care less what they have to say about my life choices. Especially when they have flaws themselves. Constructive criticism was one I struggled with as a little kid, but now that I am older, I am okay with people giving me advice on things.

Krystal Smith wow same actually I’ve always been artist. But I’m in school majoring in international relations to go into politics. This makes sense for my Sagittarius sun and moon because I’ve always been someone who wants to travel and my Virgo midheaven takes me in the direction of a career that centers around organizing and making other people’s lives easier. But I wish so badly that I could just make money as a painter/creative person. But I did read somewhere today that Virgo midheavens tend to lean more towards careers that are more practical and safe and ones they KNOW they can be excel at. Though that might not always be there deepest hearts desire they do still lean towards careers that help others by ways of organizing. Or at least that’s what the article said lol. And to be quite honest I did agree with that for the most part for me.

Within this one particular astrology (Western/Tropical), the placidus system differs from whole house, which also differ from others.

This was one of the best astrology videos I've ever seen. The part about the Pisces IC hit home for me (no pun intended haha.) I delved into my past for a moment which was definitely painful and real. This is the beauty of astrology; when people are able to not only learn about themselves and others, but heal themselves as well. I've been busy w/ college that I haven't been spending time thinking/learning about astrology. I haven't had a soul-searching moment like this in a while, thanks Alyssa. I realized a while ago that there are certain people in my life that are...like omens. I found myself criticizing these aspects of them, and then I realized that most of the time, the ones that bothered me the most were the things I currently struggle with.
Realizing that has been a big part of me trying to improve myself, using it as a tool to detect what things I'm transferring onto other people, and turning that criticism back around on myself.

Some of your points are really spot on, like being the youngest child and not knowing wtf was going on. My parents were glamorous but they fought a lot which I was too young to know why and they didn't tell me exactly. I think you might be a bit harsh though in your immediate assessment of how we perceive you! Its been pretty much all positive until you jumped ahead and said we were going to tear you down...another thing, I never felt like a smart person but smart people are sprinkled within my family including my own son who got his degree in physics and stays healthy by surfing a lot so I tend to shine a light on him when I start getting that stupid feeling. Kinda like, well at least my offspring is smart!! lol I'm a Cancer btw. Now I 'm going to watch more of your video, honestly I feel you have some refreshing insights I haven't heard yet from my ton of books so keep up the great work! :)

i have a pisces IC with saturn in my fourth house, and when i was younger my parents fought, like, non-stop for three years. i felt like i had to take on both the empathetic pisces persona AND the saturn austere figure in the house with my mom, because she was so distraught she would talk to me about their fights and what he would say and do (which was very damaging to me for various reasons), but i had to be both her supporter, and the sensible one in the household. it was a very weird and complicated situation. i resonate a lot with what you said about pisces 4th house.

What you said kind of hit a spark in me. I have Pisces ic with moon conjunct Saturn in aries both in the 4th house. I was like a Pisces growing up and saw home as such, then I started experiencing home like an Aries, like a place to assert yourself and fight to be heard, and I didn't really know.... how that happened. But growing up, my mom did rant and vent to me a lot about work and bills and taking care of the family back over seas. Not only did she have to shoulder a lot of burdens but she did it on her own and was very expressive. I guess that's how it transitioned from being a Pisces to Aries.

Alyssa, since my wife happened upon your videos and actually started playing the ones that actually related to her a few months ago, I have been patiently waiting for the right moment to embark on my own journey of astrological enlightenment. I tried as a teenager and none of the books I ever read really felt like they were pertaining to me as an individual... I quickly lost interest and it only took me 18 or so years to listen to the stars once again. You have a very innate way of explaining different planet positions in ones chart that has resounded with me and has prodded me to learn more about myself from beneath the stars. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS and I hope that there are many more to come!!!!! It's so funny i am a virgo mid heaven and i am so bad at writing, i am so annoyed by people that are critical of others...like let them be. I am a perfectionist and like to think but i really don't like to be practical and have to plan..i really dont like it. I am a Virgo MC with Scorpio rising. What you said about that is right on point pretty much. When I'm at home, I'm very daydreamy. But when I'm anywhere in my career (as a Photographer) I'm very critical and analytical. I literally get down to microscopic details until something is perfect to me. Virgo MC here. What's boring is how simplistic astrologers say Virgo MC were born to be accountants/secretaries. I have ADD so I suck at anything administrative or routinery. And I'm a virgo MC and I can definitely be critical and I ID'd w.a lot of what you said, and dig how intuitive you feel to me - and not to be critical - but the one keyword that you missed that I think sums up virgo MC the most is PERFECTIONISTIC!! Ummm... I'm a Virgo Midheaven, Taurus sun, Scorpio Rising, and Leo Moon, and I promise you I have NEVER been called boring especiallywhen I give a speech. Also, my parents didn't remotely care if I loved them. I also have ADHD and was abused until I was diagnosed through CPS at the age of 6. I agree with some of the traits you mentioned including not feeling like I had a real foundation in my family growing up but the reason I felt that way isn't the reason you described. I'm also an ENFP personality type and if I ever had a basic regular job I would shoot myself.

Ok. So. As I have virgo MC you know I'm going to say thatbat first I thought you weren't making sense, when explaining the parents wanting to be liked and the dream world state. But when you then talked about pisces IC dismissing their own arguments in order to be loved... That hit me. 4 years old and this is still some of the best, well said analysis I heard in like 2 years of studying astrology. I'm MC Virgo, Mercury in Virgo, Sun in Virgo. But Sag ascendant. I feel like a Scorpio ascendant would go DEEP in the critique, but a Sag ascendant, if it takes the time to think it through, can find a way to deliver the criticism in a way that's more jovial.

One q and an observation: Question: Can the Pisces IC mean that what was built or what was the childhood can end up being an illusion? Something about the childhood family or home that was just an illusion?
Observation: The Virgo MC is a catch 22. The very critical thinking/analytic ability that got you where you want to be or that you are known for also becomes the very "they're too nitpicky/critical" view others develop that can become problematic. What was developed for survival becomes the millstone around the neck.
I’ve watched this in the past and I couldn’t resonate, I couldn’t accept this. Doing shadow work and haha makes sense! Pisces IC is v much a fog. My childhood v much feels like a dream. I like to escape to/ from. I like my relationships to feel like a dream. Cannot stand difficult conversations or telling others I’m upset with them bc I don’t want them to feel bad bc of my empathic nature and I definitely!! Don’t! Want! Them! To be mad at me! Pisces Sun Virgo Moon Asc Sag Mc Virgo! As above, so below. But i hate critiquing people all the time (daily)! I like watching people, so that I can learn from their mistakes. And me not correcting them when i learn from them is me letting them learn their own way,... unless they ask for my help! then~ I already have a full thought-out plan, with details, how to fix it, and a reference for future happenings. I usually get good feedback when i do this, but sometimes afterwards i feel almost as if I had taken a right from that person of learning their own way. I love learning my way, i'm sure they have their way. I have no problem asking for help when just learning something new (i'm on this video right?), but the fun part to me is taking that knowledge of the basics, and seeing how far i can stretch them in each direction. I'm also afraid of my Sag rising coming out. I grew up with a Sag sun Gemini Asc, sooooooooo fucking preachy.... omg it feels like he never stops talking about the same thing, and numerous reruns of the same thing just slightly altered. I don't want to put people through that. I don't really care if they like me, its just when i hear myself get preachy, it turns me off inside. I start feeling uncomfortable... Although i have recently been thinking about learning the good side of being preachy. Ways i can be preachy that i can accept and be comfortable projecting as "me". "Ask and ye shall receive" is how i (currently) feel about me critiquing people.
P.S This video actually got me to face a personal situation head on. I thought i would feel all weird with all the emotion from the other person, but i was up front and honest no matter what. It ended how i expected, but strangely i was alright with that, and moved on. So thank you!
