I bought a bottle of SWY Absolutely 2 days ago and the batch code is from November 2023 (I live in Europe btw). Please guys, don't fall into these discontinuation rumours and don't buy backup bottles when you don't need to.
You know that it’s almost always better to have older batches
It's harder to find in the Unites States.

@@g.d2450There is a difference between batches and relaunches. New batches dont get advertised, relaunches so. When the new Y reformulations(the big ones) since 2022 were a thing, they had a whole marketing campaign basically saying its a whole new scent( which it was)
Stay strong and don't overspend on backups. You wont use it!
Gotta get a backup of brut before it gets reformulated or discontinued

All of these are signature worthy, and it’s very natural that most people don’t want to run out of their regular go to.

I was glad to have gotten two bottles SWYA last year. It's very difficult to find. I've missed my chance to get a bottle of Profondo and am still looking for one. The Lalique Ombre Noire intrigues me. I'll have to put it on my Wish List. Great list!
You can still buy valentino uomo edt even off their website, maybe depends on your region

Prada Luna rossa black is my favourite cologne. So intoxicating. I spray it on even when I’m home alone, just to enjoy it myself.
PLRB is an outstanding fragrance. I recently got a bottle of BRIONI as a blind buy and I can see myself getting a backup bottle of this!
Hugo Boss has really been stepping up their game recently. Definitely want to check out boss bottled pacific!

boss has always been acceptable to me. The only thing I didn't like is at times they were uninspiring or just didn't last that long. Sometimes both haha, but I've never really understood the relatively widespread hate for Boss as a perfume brand.
I just finished AW2! It was awesome! Lalique forever! my favorite house. Second favorite, Guerlain.
i remember getting my valentino uomo edt when it was 40 bucks on discounters.
the smell is very similar to DHI but with the addition of chocolate hazelnut notes.
now the price is crazy and its being reformulated on the newer bottles.
The annoying thing about that is, I nearly bought this back in 2017-18 but changed my mind lol now I regret it

I bought a backup bottle of 1 million lucky. I have a full 200ml and a 100ml. It's unique and compliment puller will not be around in a few years, so im set for a while
If you can get a sample of PRIVE do so. It too is a compliment puller.

Prada lr Black is in my personal top 10. I do have two bottles. Love Love Love it.

I’m gonna give the new Profondo a chance before buying a backup. Maybe it will improve on it in some way despite my doubts.

I have been trying to get another bottle of Profondo for a couple of months with no luck. They haven’t changed the bottle but the fragrance has completely changed. I got into Profondo when the original Bleau de Channel changed its recipe, I used to love that one. I recently discovered Loewe 7 Cobalt, which is similar to the original BDC and smells amazing - well worth a try.

AdG Profondo is also getting a Parfum probably around March. Unfortunatly they change the wooden cap of the AdG EdP to the new regular cap and that awkward gradient🙄
I have 3 of these and it will sad when they finally go BUT once you get past 10 bottles and also like me have clone frags as backups it works out to be years worth of sprays. Basically whejh its gone its gone, plenty more scents of differing varieties to transition onto
I own a couple of those . With a rotating collection however my backup bots. are more just to fight inflation. I've 2 of The Dreamer, Farenhiet and Savage. I bought Mis. Wave for a wedding summer of 2022. Probably still have 95 percent.

Profondo is going to change for sure, just like Profumo. The new one is OK but I got the old one while I could.

Ash, since you stated you have no ill will towards Galleria Parfums, I have to say that you masterfully directed that line. The quality of the entire line is superb. I have backup bottles of Yuzu Grove, Shades of Seduction, Cognac Cafe, and Dream Woods (several of that particular one- It is a masterpiece).... Jet Black and West Loop are very nice, but if I'm being truthful, I hold Galleria in high regards. I don't know what they're using in the UAE, but the materials are legit. Keep up the great content!!

Only backups for me are Elysium, Prada L'Homme, and Office For Men.
Can you review bad boy cobalt elixer? I tested it on Macy's and the dry down smells very similar to invictus elixer.
I've noticed how the scent notes of Valentino Uomo EDT changed, even on their own website under the discontinued fragrances section. That's why I opted to not even buy it while "it" is still available.
When you had mentioned the Maison Alhambra TF clone line was being discontinued because of a lawsuit or something, I went and ordered up a lot of various bottles thinking I could make a buck or two at my shop. Not only are they still around though, but they're selling on Amazon for about 25% less than I paid last year and I'm stuck with enough Bright Peach to drown a horse. Just a rumor, I suppose.

The fragrances I have back ups of are not only some that I particularly like, but that I consider amazing value for the money. Those are so far:

-Burberry London
-Davidoff Zino
-Bentley for Men Absolute
-Zara Warm Black
-The Body Shop White Musk for Men (discontinued)
-Mugler Cologne (discontinued)
Planning to add Zara Antique Brown to that list.
Encre noire is TERRIBLE
Luna Rossa Black man…that’s all I have to say….it’s peak fragrance.

So true, though. It shocked me the actual retail price of Lalique fragrances compared to discounters. I didn't realize how much time it takes for us in North-America to get them compared to their European release date. I'm moving to Europe! (lol)

Bleu de Chanel in Europe started to show up in bottles that now say Eau de Toilette on them, so for sure it's not discontinued

Bleu de Chanel first came to market in an EdT concentration in 2010, the EdP in 2014 and parfum in 2018....
Where in Europe? I believe you can find them everywhere here in the United States.

I would add Zino by Davidoff to your "Get a back-up bottle" list, I recieved an email from COTY confirming it has officially been discontinued. Its a shame they would discontinue such a classic fragrance.
Valentino Uomo EDT is really solid and it is very saddd as it is now discontinued... what a masterpiece
but dont worry.. have a look at Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir parfum.. totally the same and cheaper
No, any Valentino Uomo you purchase will be the later batches (2021) and have that waxy, makeup bag type of iris. No coffee or chocolate.
Always buy a backup of your favorite fragrances, and have a decent collection of ones you really love. That way you wont blow through certain ones everyday if you are a person who wears frag everyday.
Bought another Boss Bottled Pacific last week.
Unpopular Opinion but Dolce & Gabanna The One Grey. It smells amazing and a fresher take on The One dna. This one is overlooked and I feel like it will just disappear one day and will become sought after. I'm calling it now lol
Just a heads up, but I picked up a 100ml of Polo Earth for $32 on clearance at TJMaxx. Yeah, it doesn’t have the best performance, but I love that honeysuckle scent. I think this fragrance is definitely getting phased out.

Ash can you PLEASE please do a side by side with a newer bottle. Because I keep hearing that the fragrance smell changed with the bottle. It also has different notes online. So please help us out.

Based on this video, I recently looked up Boss Bottled Pacific on eBay and somehow found one a huge 6.7 one for $73 (plus tax of course). So I risked a blind buy and am so glad I did. Smells great to me! Definitely has a coconutty vibe, but not in an sort of obnoxious way. This might make sense only if you’ve smelled both, but I could describe it as the “opposite” of something like Luna Rosa Carbon. Haha, obviously I’m no Ash in the description department. Anyway, Pacific is yummy. K bye!

I just got a new bottle and they changed the atomizer which has a cap now. Also they put spikes around the neck of the bottle and the smell leans really feminine 😢

this was me with a few fragrances:
1) Light Blue Forever. it was so hard to find in general, so i bought 2 100mls to have enough to last
2) Le Beau Le Parfum i need a second bottle of if i can find it and have the cash, bc i like the scent so far, but ik i need 200mls of it if im gonna wear it a lot going forward. (smfh JPG shoulda made a 200 of it too, like Le Male Le Parfum...)
3) Khamrah and Black Origami by Lattafa bc i dont know if there would ever be a lawsuit against Lattafa like that fiasco with TF suing them for infringement. Got 2 100 mls of them.

i smelt the new, ADG profondo and trust me, its nowhere close to the og profondo. i would totally not blind buy it, i smelt basiccly only mint and maybe some citrus, but if you dont want to smell like that mint and lemon water, i wouldnt get it.

The OG Valentino Uomo is definitely backup bottle worthy. I have both the bottle Ash has and the newer bottle with the spiked collar.
Which do you prefer? Do they dry down pretty similar?
@@jameshusband3392 the formulation changed a little and it’s slightly noticeable but if you never smelled the OG then you wouldn’t know. The new formulation is still amazing
