Very informative video, but there are 2-3 warning lights when it comes to DPF...so i have below queries: 1.)at what point vehicle enters limp mode. 2.)When do we perform park-regen? I mean when adblue is low or when filter is clogged? 3.) As u mentioned that ur thar also entered in limp mode, then wat did service guys do? Park-regen?
When the DPF chocked sign will come, you will start feeling sluggishness. If driven fast enough for 20-30 minutes, it will clear it out. If thats not done and DPF is chocked too much, vehicle will enter into limp mode and you must need to do park regen. If this was also not done, vehicle will get OBD lamp and you need to take the vehicle to service centre where they will check if they can solve it or DPF needs to be changed. DEF is not related to it, you just need to keep track of the level and should refill as soon as you see a warning about it.
@@DCVExpeditions yeah, 2.5k is enough.... One last query: to be at safer side, can we do park-regen before the tell-tale sign appear on console....i mean like every 5k kms, do park-regen, just to avoid this situation.... Or we can only do post tell-tale sign appear?

As these will create problems in city driving ? 2.If BS6 vehicles will create this problem, than Why their is a ban of over speed even on national highways. Their should be no restrictions by the local/ distt authorities from where N.Highway passes.Otherwise it will be impossible to run these vehicles above 60.

DEF (urea) is used in all BS6 diesel vehicles (All companies) but only Mahindra owners are experiencing such problems. Most companies use their own DEF so there is a possibility that this problem is only because of low-quality DEF. Short running logic is senseless because max BS6 vehicles are still performing on the road.
This is a problem for every Diesel engine right from Bolero to the new XUV700, the problem is that if you are driving around at low speed or just idle. This can add too significant cost in maintenance if not covered under warranty.
Last year December I booked a diesel automatic hardtop still waiting for it 🙃. Mahindra is saying they temporarily stopped production of all diesel vehicle and it will delay further.... now they are offering me a petrol automatic .. I'm totally confused now .. any suggestion on taking petrol AT ?

I have faced similar issue with my thar 2020 diesel. Thankfully i opend the user manual and did the regen process the very next minute by driving it for 10-15minutes.

simple formula when ever regen and dpf clogged warning comes. do regen manually by parking or drive thar above 60 for 10-15 on highway and than park the thar regen will start automatically. (for safer side drive your thar on highway for atleast 1-2 times in a week) regen and obd lamp on please don't drive for long and regen is not possible so go to service center otherwise it will go in limp home mode.

I am on spiti trip and i drove from delhi. While coming back from kaza near to Tabo i saw DEF droplet sign soon after i saw DEF ERROR NOT MORE THAN 800 KM and then soon after it started giving OBD lamp error. As i am your regular viewer, i had seen this video in detail and hence knew than i will get 800 KM to run but in my case it dint allow me more than 70 KM from DEF LAMP ERROR TO OBD. I am stuck at NAKO and feeling terribly bad. Can you please help me out with my query as to why it dint show me the chronological errors. Thans in advance

It will warn you 2500 kms prior of finishing it, which is enough.

Park Regen can be done only when you will see REGEN sign or message. Bcz normal driving keeps on doing regen itself if soot mass increases.

Tata's implementation is a bit better I guess. I have not face this issue of DPF even when driving slowly through mountain regions.
I have just driven it in Himalayas for all those 15k kms. Never faced myself too.

No, manual works only upto 2nd gear.

Running fine. Only disappointing thing is city mileage, gives 9.5 kmpl in city driving. Otherwise a good 2 seater vehicle. Robust

Its about DPF not DEF. All brands are facing issues. Ford Ecosport was hit worst by it.

DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) freeze nhi hota woh DEF(Diesel Emission Fluid) freeze hota hai -11°C pai

I faced Sam problem with my harrier bs4 in ladakh.
in one word, these vehicles are not supposed to be himalayan regions.....
