My favorite part of Investigations 2 is definitely the thematic consistency of how both Kay and Sebastian parallel Miles Edgeworth’s past experiences. Kay also lost her father in the courthouse when she was very young, the very same courthouse Gregory Edgeworth was murdered in ten or so years earlier. Sebastian suffered mental abuse and manipulation from his own father, much like Edgeworth’s experience at the hands of his mentor and adopted father Manfred Von Karma. And not only that but he helps Sebastian in a similar way that Phoenix helped him. The truth may hurt, it may be devastating. But the truth is always important and they don’t have to face it alone. God Investigations 2 is so damn good, I wish it was officially translated because it does wonders for Miles Edgeworth’s character arc and introduces so many new characters.
Despair Melody I completely agree, aai2 it’s my personal favorite in the whole franchise, just 👌👌✨. I wish the characters had been brought back in the most recent games, they’re so good, so much wasted potential :/. Anyway, thx for watching! ❤️

GODDD you translate edgeworth and sebastian's relationship so beautifully! that bit at 1:18 where miles sees the negative impacts of sebastian's upbringing and relates them to his own issues he had to get over ... that's brilliant detailing, and it exemplifies edgeworth's character development so very well. also the whole "raise you like a phoenix" bit ... and how miles is passing on what he learned from phoenix about truth and justice onto sebastian ... wasn't expecting to cry over sebastian debeste today but you know what i'm not complaining

I think the song fits and has good thematic resonance with Investigations 2's story, I just think it's worth saying there's some palpable irony to be found here.
As expected, I’m back for multiple rewatches and DAMN, it just gets better with every watch!! Literally every expression you drew was so deliberately chosen and they all add to how emotional this whole animatic is. The tension! The angst! AHHH I love it!! And I live for the dynamic between Miles and Sebastian (and frankly would really love to see more of it in future games, however unlikely that may be) so this is such a treat for me. :’) I’m gonna stop gushing now but you’re an incredibly talented storyteller with your art. The framing of every picture was perfect, you managed to capture emotion in every frame and it was amazing. OKAY, this is utterly brilliant!! Your line art is so clean and precise and a huge treat to look at. All the frames were timed so well with the music and the expressions in each are extremely well drawn and convey a ton of emotion. I LOVE that you used Sebastian for this (he is my favorite!!) and all the other characters worked so well, too! Your art is gorgeous and I can tell I’m going to be watching this over and over again. 4 years late and I just found this. The part with, "Wearing misery / No, I think it looked a little better on me" at 1:13 just about ruined me, it was so good. All of the scenes match so well with the lyrics, but that stands out. And every scene with "Like a remix" too. Honestly, amazing work
