    Great review matey. For me the times I’ve bought top quality leather straps such as a Colareb doesn’t need any time to break in, they are that soft they conform straight away which is important for the likes of you and me with twig wrists!
    Love how you got the straps on the wrong way round twice!! I do that all the time but I exit that out!!!!! Take care my friend and happy new year!

      I think it might be my twig wrists at this point, the blue one has broken well but that red one refuses to! Yeh haha, anything to get out of more editing 😂

    Some lovely straps, but not a fan of cut to fit straps, particularly at this price level. Also, would you pay $60 for a strap to put on a $60 watch? Not sure.

    I like that nato maroon strap, very nice on your Longines. Great choices! That second red strap looks really thick. Cool that the green rubber strap for Rolex fits your Pagani Design.

      I bought one of their metal straps for my Fenix. Couldn't get it on because the quick fit clasp wouldn't fit the Garmin pin and the square end wouldn't clear the round watch case.

    Hey pal, the straps look fantastic and all...... But after looking on the website, I can't help but see you can buy the exact same products on Ali express for a fraction of a price, I know this because I bought a product on both sites and other than a the size(which I purchased different sizes because there's no point having the same colour same size strap)what's your view on this??? What's the advantage of buying strapco over a company like Geckota which all there items to my knowledge are made in the UK.....I'm not trying to stir things up its just a genuine question......

    • @JasonTheWatchGuy
      @JasonTheWatchGuy  3 года назад

      Could be worth me doing a comparison for the two then! There will always be people using Chinese manufacturers and reselling at a premium however the advantage to companies like Geckota, Haveston, Vario etc is the knowledge that they develop their own straps. Personally my favourites have been Haveston and Vario to this point

      @@JasonTheWatchGuy fair enough cheers for getting back, it possibly would be worth your doing, and I understand people mark up, that's fine, as a business man myself I understand that.... however my issue with it is these straps are 3-5x the original price on Ali express and in my eyes see I stand by Geckota but that's just because there a brand I know very well..... If I was new to watches or just looking for a good strap, strapsco is quite easy to find and it's just another name where as Chinese retailers are a little bit more difficult, but at the end of the day, there charging £20 for a strap I can buy on Ali express for £3 and so on and so forth...if you know what I mean.... just food for thought yanno, when I can buy a strap from strapcode or uncle Seiko specifically made for a orient kamasu or skx007 for £100 or be charged £80 for a £20 bracelet on strapsco....I just feel like it's a little unfair that people are inclined to pay that.....it's like the fashion watch industry
      Apologies if I'm getting work up over nothing 😂😂😂 I lost my crown last night whilst fixing my Citizen so I'm a little bit salty 😂😂😂

    • @JasonTheWatchGuy
      @JasonTheWatchGuy  3 года назад

      I get you to be fair! I've done the whole Chinese warehouse to ebay thing myself so I see the mark ups they're making. Think the biggest over head they'll have is the promotion they do
      Oh god no, matching a crown up is an absolute nightmare too!

    • @key2theuniverse713
      @key2theuniverse713 3 года назад

      @@JasonTheWatchGuy I understand that, and I didn't think about it to be honest, I'm not going to lie I've done the same thing with gshock parts that are uncommon but that's because there uncommon and a little bit strange and definitely items I'd use on my own Watches if that makes any sense
      And it was a nightmare I was braking down to my girlfriend 😂😂😂 but I've found it now and my little citizen nighthawk is getting a much deserved sapphire crystal after the previous owner decided to brutally scratch the lense to an unbelievable level 😂😂😂

    If you want to try the truly high end of a normal leather watch band, order one from 922leather, over a hundred bucks a go, but holy shit! Soft right out of the box, and seemingly very well made. Changed my life. I've ordered 4 of those damn things.
    Otherwise, I'm trying to find a middle ground that isn't the Barton and Ritche tier straps but isn't as expensive as those "more expensive than the watch" straps. I'm going to email Strapsco and see if they have something I would like. That's a huge variety.

    • @JasonTheWatchGuy
      @JasonTheWatchGuy  3 года назад

      Jeez, I couldn't spend over one hundred on a strap, I'd buy a watch instead! To be fair I've never spent more than £30 on a strap, which is why it was nice to get these

    • @funkmon

      @@JasonTheWatchGuy as dumb as it sounds, it's surprisingly worth it. One of those straps brought my Black Bay out of the "to sell" pile and back into the rotation. Dufrane and Farr & Swit sell straps made by the guy. Contact Dufrane, see if they'll send you out a watch to borrow. They've got a pilot watch that comes with the fancy strap. They do send out review units sometimes, I've seen them. Tell em I sent you. Farr and Swit also send out review pieces, but their watches don't come with the straps by default. The Dufrane ones are better anyway.
