      I had Cat Scratch Fever when I was 13. In a Coma for 5 days from it and for the rest of my schooling there was a kid that would occasionally song that song lol.
      BUT I’ve had severe Neuropsychiatric Symptoms since then and am not sure if understand correctly, but can the Bacteria remain in your body after initial treatment with antibiotics?

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  2 года назад +1

      Yes it definitely can. Mainstream medicine does not currently accept this but published literature is mounting that chronic Bartonella infections, called bartonellosis, can cause chronic illness with neuropsychiatric, rheumatological, and other types of disease presentations. I suggest you watch a lot of videos from my channel and join our Facebook group called Breaking Down Bartonella for support ❤️

    Lyme, bartonella and other co infections most often go hand in hand. Just because someone tests negative for Lyme, doesn’t mean that they’re not actually positive. False negatives are very common when the immune response is weakened; also there’s no definitive testing available as of yet.

    • @Canadian_Eh_I

      WHat about Igenex? They seem to have pretty advanced testing

    • @wm6558
      @wm6558 Год назад

      The Igg immune levels need to be over a determined amount. the problem is the longer undiagnosed, the lower the level you have. So the test is time sensitive, typically 30 to 90 days

    • @jessicah3450
      @jessicah3450 Год назад +2

      Then if you test positive and doctors still won't treat you, that's especially infuriating!

    • @claudemayers
      @claudemayers 6 месяцев назад

      I think Igenex is the best organization to test for Lyme related tick related diseases however you may have low antibody levels as residues of past infection fighting. And unfortunately tho you would not need treatment if these levels are that low all debatable, but Igenex does not do to Quantitative levels to tell you if you don't need to be treated because your levels are not very high. So even the best organization is still in the caveman era of medicine which we have to work through

    I fully believe that my late onset schizophrenia was brought on by a cat scratch fever infection I had when I was 28 years old that required having one of my lymph nodes in my neck surgically removed. There have been two independent and heavy duty clinical research studies, one done in Germany around 2002 and one in the United States some years later, and BOTH showed a significant presence of bartonella henselae anti-bodies in the schizophrenic patients they studied as compared to the general population having those same anti-bodies.

Lyme, bartenella, babesiosis, rickettsiosis, ect are very serious and are lots of times written off as psych problems or "fibromyalgia" which is very frustrating. There needs to be updated awareness prevention and treatment.

    My family doctor brushed me off diagnosing me with common flu. I got a second opinion and was referred to an optometrist. Optometrist sent me straight to hospital where I had 3 days of testing for inflammation behind my retina. I even got an MRI scan and was so pleased with the care I got because they were determined to find the cause. The final test they took 12 blood samples. My GP was so ashamed. By the way I have no medical insurance and this was all taken care of by the NZ government. I was diagnosed with bartonella Hensley.

    Is it weird that my family often rescues stray cats...I have been diagnosed with lyme disease, my sister has fibromyalgia, and my
    mom has sero-negative Rheumatoid arthritis. I told my doctor about bartonella, and she said my 1 month of doxycycline should have wiped out EVERYTHING. Mind you, I also have a primary immunodeficiency, in my case, I don't make IgG antibodies. I also have to take antibiotics twice as long, or bacteria can end up in weird places they don't belong (like my lungs). What do tests look for? IgG antibodies! But now that I am on Ig replacement therapy, any immunoglobulin/antibody tests shouldn't be used to diagnose me anymore, since I'm getting them from donors. Ugh.

    I just found your channel because I was looking for answers for my daughter. She has had a myriad of symptoms, all of which you mentioned, but the most obvious one is the rash. She has what looks like stretch marks/scratches all over. Where do I begin to get her help? Is this something any doctor will test for or do we need to see a specialist?

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  4 года назад

      The stretch marks/striae have been associated anecdotally with Bartonellosis and this area of study is in very early stages of research. Stretch marks/striae are associated with other illnesses too, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Marfans syndrome. At this point, the vast majority of doctors are unaware of the research behind Bartonellosis and that it can cause severe, chronic disease manifestations. Therefore, you need to see a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD) for proper diagnosis and treatment. Bartonella is not Lyme disease and you can have Bartonellosis without Lyme disease, but these doctors are the only doctors (at this time) who know how to deal with Bartonellosis. I suggest you add yourself to the Facebook support group Beating Bartonella and ask for a doctor recommendation in your area. The best testing for Bartonella is Galaxy Diagnostics

    I just got burned by so many MD’s in the past 3 months, by writing me off with ideas of what it could be like thyroid or MS. I’m getting an MRI to be tested for MS in a matter of weeks and I feel so nervous about it. But I went to a naturopath Doctor and she tested me for a lot of things. Come to find out I tested for Bartonella Peromysci and Babesia Major. The only symptoms right now that that are still persistent that I cannot for the life of me get rid of is irritability, random bouts of anxiety and depression, my left eye twitching constantly and fingers on my left hand will twitch randomly. Is eye twitching a symptom? Before I had tingling finger tips, my face tingled one day, one side looked flushed, I also had major light sensitivity for a few days and I had a weird metallic taste in my mouth as well. The eye twitching is the most obnoxious one right now. I subscribed to your channel, thank you for making this content! This illness is not talked about enough!

    I’ve been suffering from massive brain fog and memory problems with pins and needles to extreme light sensitivity and tremors with muscle twitches and body jerks, my vision is slight double and I have a abnormal color vision where colors are bright and lights have halos and are intense and bright even during the day. My muscles are always sore and I got numbness in my fingers. I took multiple test mri and eeg and doctors find nothing and I took a Lyme test at kaiser with negative results. I remember being scratched multiple times by my kitten and I had a rash but every month I get a new symptom. Could this be Bartonella ??? I’m curious and got a ignex order but idk if I should start treatment on my own due to these hard times in the world. Thank you for your videos

      I am sorry to hear about your symptoms. It is possible they are due to Bartonella. If you haven't already paid for an IGeneX Bartonella test, I would recommend you get a Galaxy Bartonella test instead. I have a couple of videos on testing. I am no Lyme (Borrelia) expert but standard Lyme testing misses a lot of cases so if you want to retest for Lyme, you could use IGeneX. Due to these hard times in the world, idk how you might go about getting these tests. I never recommend self treatment and I am not a doctor but there are herbal treatments that *may* be helpful for Bart. I would recommend that you add yourself to the Beating Bartonella group on Facebook

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  4 года назад

      @@wakabarz5880 Galaxy offers two different types of tests for Bartonella and if you order both you get a bit of a discount. Triple draw ePCR takes your blood 3 times over the course of five days (like Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and looks for the organism in your blood while the serology IFA tests for your body's antibody response to Bartonella. Doing both gives you the best chance for getting a positive. The tests are expensive, unfortunately. You will need a good Bartonella literate doctor to help you treat

      @@wakabarz5880 You could call IGeneX and see what they recommend. Most people have an LLMD (which stands for Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) order the tests for them. I want to emphasize though that for Bartonella, you're going to want Galaxy's testing and you could call them as well. You could also ask for suggestions on this topic in the Beating Bartonella group. Some of them might know of a practioner who can order it for you. I'm trying to find an explanation for the way I feel. I think this is unlikely but I'm grasping at straws. For many years I have struggled to sleep normally despite having good habits, struggled to stay awake during the day. I've been depressed and frustrated, but I always thought it was just normal depression. But in the past five years I've also had unexplained moderate physical symptoms, like sudden, temporary blindness in one eye, with pain moving the eye. Also joint pain and swelling, including knee pain that is unexplained by MRI but has prevented me from running for over three years now. None of my symptoms have been completely debilitating, so I'm doubtful this is it, but I had a swollen lymph node in my armpit removed when I was 13 (2003), and the doctors said they didn't know for sure what it was, but it looked like I had had an immune response for CSD. I'm wondering if it's possible that I could have been chronically infected and have intermittent, moderate symptoms for years without putting it together

    • @BartonellaBabe

      Hi Elias! You absolutely can be chronically infected with waxing and waning moderate symptoms. That is actually quite common. I'm so happy you're grasping at straws because you might have truly found your problem. My symptoms were minor, then became moderate, then severe over a period of over ten years. Not trying to scare you because everyone's disease manifestation looks different. How to cure cat scratch disease?

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  3 года назад

      Treatment for cat scratch disease is different than treatment for bartonellosis/chronic manifestations of disease. Mainstream literature says that antibiotics aren't even recommended for cat scratch disease but Bartonella literate medical doctors (BLMDs) recommend around 6 weeks of clarithromycin and rifampin, based on their clinical experience. For chronic disease, antibiotic therapy can be much longer than this

    Most doctors refuse to test for any type of parasite, I’m suffering right now trying to find a doctor who will but they are told not too ! I broke my ankle last year and had to have a plate implanted in my ankle, was healing splendidly until I did some yard work and that evening I felt something sting me , and it itched so badly! I didn’t know so I scratched and a few days later developed a bumpy rash that morphed into a whole bunch of bumps and itching that was INSANE! I went to 3 doctors. They had no idea what it is or what it was so I was sent to a dermatologist who told me I had psoriasis! I know this isn’t psoriasis, I’ve had that, plus I did a parasite cleanse and found at least 5 different types of parasite but it’s hard to be sure since I’m not a doctor or scientist who has access to machinery that would definitively tell me. I’ve had to deal with itching bumps , white little worms in my legs, swelling so bad in my legs that it literally hurts to even stand up! I’ve managed so far only because I’m an herbalist who knows skin issues otherwise I can’t imagine what it would be like! As of Right now I have fissures that are oozing puss, loss of feeling in my ankle, extreme weight loss, and big clumps of what looks like eggs coming from my ankle! I would love to share a photo of the creature I pulled from my ankle I have NEVER seen anything like it nor has anyone I’ve known, the doctor wouldn’t even LOOK at it when I brought it with, so when I got his results I wrote him and told him his diagnosis was incorrect , sent him 10 photos of the parasites I had found and all his nurses had to say was sorry you have to deal with this but no offers to retest so I chewed his ass and sent a complaint to the CDC, and lodged a complaint at his hospital against him! These doctors are horrible! They test only doe skin issues not the underlying causes like parasites, and the first thing they test for is cancer..which I’m positive they know is caused my parasitic infection..ever single doctor I saw was eager to test for cancer but not a parasite? Yep. I refuse to see another doctor, and have gone through this not knowing what I’m trying to cure bug I’m positive They know. Ive done 2 successful parasite cleanse bug and still trying to figure out what is living in my ankle..it looks like a white fungus or some type of mold and the manifestation of bizarre symptoms doesn’t help my cause cuz if I walked into a doctors office and tried to tell them what I think it is I’d end up in the nut ward on Thorazine ! I’m scared tho, what if I have elephantius or cat scratch ? How did you folks get your doctors to test u?

    • @jessicamadrid1006

      Order your own test online and go to the lab for the blood draw. It’s pricey, but worth it, to get the answers you need. If you have an HSA account that helps. Your health is worth it!

      I can't say that is impossible but that is a highly unlikely mode of transmission. You should not, however, let animals get their saliva in any open cuts/wounds on your skin and you should practice rigorous flea and tick control on your bets and make sure to avoid animal bites and scratches

    1. I started getting extreme fatigue
    2. I started having mood swings and paranoia
    3. I looked dead and sickly
    4. I was falling asleep everywhere and sleeping for 15+ hours
    5. I had a rash that looked like little worms/scratches/strechmarks all at once.
    I sent my friend the rash and she said- oh you have Bartonella. I was very skeptical and didn't want to believe it. Then I got tested for Lyme, I had one positive band the 41 band on the CDC test, then I was tested by Armin Labs Bartonella and Babesia came back positive.
    My life has been a mess since. The mental symptoms, the fatigue, the brain fog, the memory loss. I dont work anymore and dont have any income at all- my family which is poor helps me with food and shelter. I went from a joyous traveling teacher to an empty shell of myself laying in bed everyday.
