It's the space between the point of foot contact and the ground, the more space that is there, the more advantage the runner has as it gives them a stilts-like effect that can lead to slightly wider strides, added up it's less steps taken for that runner
Saying it is banned is a bit misleading. Adidas intentionally designed and made a shoe outside the official regulation parameters just to see what is achievable (and have some fun). Anyone can wear it in any event, just that if you can’t use the result for intentional athletics recognition. Not an issue if you are not a professional elite runner in the event.
Bought the Prime X half a year ago, and when you get used to the tall stack height it's just so much fun to run in. It's the easiest shoe to achieve this flying feeling when you run, and it takes less effort than my older Nike Zoomfly shoes and a lot less effort than "normal" running shoes. It's the only shoe I've tried where asphalt feels like soft dirt or running on grass. Cornering is doable but it's not intended for agility. It's very durable in the outsole with the continental rubber. The only disadvantage I have with this shoe is the fact that you'll have trouble holding back and get those easy training runs. This shoe constantly inspires you to run fast and because of the stiffness it performs best when at medium to high pace.
This Prime X any runner can use for training for fun and relax. But the problem is the stability and the rocker that for then to work well you got to run in a straight road and it must be in perfect state. It is just expensive but anyone could use and non professional runners can still use then in a race.
You gotta try the New Balance Supercomp Trainer. Another 'illegal' max cushion shoe. I can't wait to get my hands on that one and they're wide friendly and supposedly a lot more stable than the Prime X, which I do have in collection. .
I no joke wrote adidas personally on the website a few months ago begging them to keep the height of the shoe, remove the carbon plate and the rods, widen the midsole for stability and add an Ultraboost primeknit upper and this shoe would easily rival the invincible runs. Maybe might be better. If these were wider I’d like these more adidas don’t show love to wide footers much. Have you looked into Nike 47 mm stack shoe and new balance 47 mm as well both look wider. But I still think adidas deserves props for again setting a trend on pushing the limit for comfort. I think the UB did the same for comfort shoes today. God bless
nike doesn't have a 47 mm shoe AFAIK, the invincible is "only" 37 mm also if you remove the rods and plates from the invincible, it's gonna be a pain to run in, as they give a lot of the stability and propulsiveness
$420 AUD here, lol. Still, they are like nothing else on the market, the only problem is the skinny heel area, but when running, it's always best to land on your forefoot for the best technique. Hes, you should try the Adios Pro 3, they are a lot wider in the heel, which fixes the stability problems from the previous models.
Hes, although cushion can be subjective to the person wearing the sneaker, I don’t think the LightStrike Pro foam is messing with ZoomX, its a little firmer ( which some people prefer) and the energy return isn’t as responsive but other then that its still a dope sneaker.
Try out the New Balance Fuel Cell SC trainer Hes. Heard they are great and more stable for above the limit stack running shoe(~45-47mm in the heel) 180$ so not as steep as primeX
Casually they resemble the Retropy E5 for cushioning. Which I purchased here in the UK on your recommendation and love. These are as you say specifically a running shoe. But if they do lower the stack and remove the rods I'd cop them
@@tomstubbsmusic For both running and casual, I like the Prime X Strung. I can't wait for the Prime X Strung 2, as I think Adidas may have widened the heal area just a touch. Should be more stable when walking/slow running.
You do know that there’s a couple of running shoe companies they’re dropping the heal mid sal altogether so that runners will mostly have to maintain on their forefoot
I'd like to say that Boston 10 would not be a good casual shoe I rolled my ankle on a very un-even off camber pavement whilst slowing down for a turn. Maybe ok if laced up tighter but I wont walk about in this kinda shoe now. great to run in however but a bit heavy for speed workouts
I am searching running shoes for comfort to my knee and ankle at the same time keep the performance like alphafly, should I buy this shoe or any other option? I am just regular runner for exercise.
The Takumi Sen 8 is the closest thing to a LSPro shoe that can be walked in. LSPro is very durable from all runner accounts. The Takumi Sen 8 has thinner grip strips on the outsole, and they actually improve with wear. The strips are super tacky at ground contact. The combo of LSPro and ENERGY RODs is amazing. It’s the most comfortable running experience which means the body/joints are protected and less energy dispersion saves in recovery time. I think LSPro will always require some sort of embedded stability or torsion element ‘cos it is so soft. But it firms up just right when running in it. It feels fantastic at faster and slower paces. The midsole sculpt is perfect. ✌🏽💙🏃🏽♂️
Hes you don’t even give a chance to grill you you’ve already answered all the questions and thanks for saying these shoes are not for causal wear. They look god but I think the Zoom looks better no will like outshine the adidas version.
They look like a short persons dream with old school Sketchers vibes to make sie but look bigger. I just bought some qasi and yeezy sneaks so Ineed to calm down but these shoes look THICK..haha
Have both the Pro and Pro 2 and got a year running from both. The heel rubber wears off fast but the forefoot gets you around 600kms. Love the shoes. Really want the 3s but still going with the Pro 2.
No offence but I thought you don't review these "professional racing shoes" anymore? Because if you did you kinda missed out a lot, the likes of Vaporfly 2, Alphafly 2, Streakfly, sen 8, adizero pro 2 & 3, turbo next nature, etc.
Energy blades⁉️⁉️⁉️ I mean I know what the energy rods are I think they’re genius but you better explain those blades, mr. casual Olympic sneaker wearer‼️😂😂😂
I thought for some reason it was gonna b apu shoez or whatever those basketball shoez that got banned bcuz they had catapults that gave u extra hops lol they were mostly like blk and a loud color like lime green or white and lime thatz what I thought I was in for.... I was wrong this was dope but kinda wish it was the bball kix I wonder wtf happened to them like do they exist???? #Kixoholix413Salute
Fucking A⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️That is for runners pal -that’s not for casual people -you will hurt yourself. If I were you I’d start to run that would help you and that’s the perfect shoe to start with‼️#StripesOverChecks ‼️✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
Lol literally copying Nike and adidas probably already know it’s gonna be banned. They still coming out with this because “banned” is a perfect promotion! And NIKE has been cashing out on this for ever.
Dude it’s kind of sad that you don’t run man. If you actually try to do a little jog in the Alphafly’s or this Audi zero you’ll feel how these technical midsoles actually push and propel your leg forward - it is a trip at speed you don’t know shit if you only walked in them‼️They are a mental and physical trip at speed‼️ Once you get running in either of these shoes you have to think your way to a slower pace because it fucking pushes your leg and your stride‼️😂😂get off the couch chubby start running‼️😂😂 just kidding you know you’re loved‼️
The Ultraboost or Pegasus models are performance shoes and are great casual shoes. Then again carbon fibre and a 50mm stack hinders comfort that's true.
there are better running shoes out there. they need a casual version of this idk why they keep making running shoes for casual use what a waste. ultra boost is outdated try something new in 2023
It's the space between the point of foot contact and the ground, the more space that is there, the more advantage the runner has as it gives them a stilts-like effect that can lead to slightly wider strides, added up it's less steps taken for that runner
Also most elite runners land with their forefoot hence the narrow heel.
F if let's get some 300mm stack heights then

Hi
As a runner who has the vaporflys for my carbon racer I honestly think the asics metaspeed sky+ is the most comfortable racer out right now
That depends from runner to runner
mo
Hes, you should definitely try the Pro 3. It has full length rods as opposed to a heel plate and forefoot rods in the Pro and Pro 2.
Hope to see your review soon on the ADIDAS ADIOS PRO 3. It looks that they took your advice to make it good for casual as they made the heel wider !
You gotta try the New Balance Supercomp Trainer. Another 'illegal' max cushion shoe. I can't wait to get my hands on that one and they're wide friendly and supposedly a lot more stable than the Prime X, which I do have in collection. .
I have it and I'm loving it!
I want to get one but I hate the color ways
I ordered them the day they released... literal marshmallows, yet they dont spill over the sides
Spoiler alert: they’re awesome! Surprisingly stable, too!
Strange that these companies make these professional running shoes but they can’t be used by the professionals in competition.
I no joke wrote adidas personally on the website a few months ago begging them to keep the height of the shoe, remove the carbon plate and the rods, widen the midsole for stability and add an Ultraboost primeknit upper and this shoe would easily rival the invincible runs. I feel like adidas typically runs on the wide side, but I wear more bball and casual than running from them
nike doesn't have a 47 mm shoe AFAIK, the invincible is "only" 37 mm
also if you remove the rods and plates from the invincible, it's gonna be a pain to run in, as they give a lot of the stability and propulsiveness
Hope Adidas can incorporate this midsole on a wide outsole with the Adistar model
Is it the same measurement midsole with the Adistar?
Best thing about max cushion shoes are that they are high heel for dudes. It feels nice to be 2" taller.
Indeed!

Crazy price. Lucky for me just picked them up for $190 AU on Boxing Day sale. Looking forward to them.
40% dfo
I have the Nike ones, the ogs and really like them to walk around in. Thanks for the video! Great info!
Hi
Hes, although cushion can be subjective to the person wearing the sneaker, I don’t think the LightStrike Pro foam is messing with ZoomX, its a little firmer ( which some people prefer) and the energy return isn’t as responsive but other then that its still a dope sneaker.
All the pro runners wear lightstrike pro
Lightstrike Pro is better. Zoom x is more mainstream
@@Rayzajw better to you, to me ZoomX is far superior
I hate how mushy the zoom x feels 👎
0:20 Yo the couch commander reviewed more running shoes 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Crazy shoes. Absolutely fanstastic colors. Thanks for the presentation!
If you like looks of boston 10, get adios 6 - looks even better and better for casual use imo
Try out the New Balance Fuel Cell SC trainer Hes. Heard they are great and more stable for above the limit stack running shoe(~45-47mm in the heel) 180$ so not as steep as primeX
Can you review the New Balance sc trainer? They are also banned in world running
Casually they resemble the Retropy E5 for cushioning.
Which I purchased here in the UK on your recommendation and love.
These are as you say specifically a running shoe.
But if they do lower the stack and remove the rods I'd cop them
I have the Adios Pro 2 and Prime X Strung. I use both for casual as well as running :)
probably shouldnt use them casually
they are bad for your feet
Could say that about high heels or even slippers.
What would u recommend?
@@tomstubbsmusic For both running and casual, I like the Prime X Strung. I can't wait for the Prime X Strung 2, as I think Adidas may have widened the heal area just a touch. Should be more stable when walking/slow running.
Have you not been wearing the Nike GP?
try novablast if you want best cushion.
New balance actually has similar 50mm class which is fuelcell supercomp trainer

Looking forward to your review of New Balance Super Comp trainers with FuelCell and 47mm of stack hight.
"for your Costco PR's" as an employee I love seeing people flex when they come into Costco.
Saw these at the outlets for 50% off yesterday....
I am searching running shoes for comfort to my knee and ankle at the same time keep the performance like alphafly, should I buy this shoe or any other option?
I am just regular runner for exercise.
use 0 mm drop like altra
training until you feet get used to use barefoot shoe
search prevent injury with barefoot shoe
I got the last version of these. They are super comfy. Don’t love the tongue but the shoes are comfy

Hi
Durability is very good, runner perspective
Adidas is bringing lightstrike pro to lifestyle models as well as strung uppers in 2024

These just look like the Nike Alphafly next 4% or what ever their called imo
This shoe is the rival to NB Supercomp Trainer.
Hes you got to at least jog and run a couple times in these super runners!
I'm waiting for the day they come out with a shoe more comfy than the Zoomx Invincible Runs.
The Yeezy 380
Haha me also.. looks like we better not hold our breath!
the new balance rebel v2 and asics gel cumulus 24 are also super comfy, as well as the novablast line
Marathon runners never land on their heel, EVER.
These remind me of the Skechers Shape-ups
Casual perspective 🐷
Looks incredibly similar to the nike alpha fly....
Nice socks
Should be squishkicks.
It's banned for the rolling ankles
sheesh! that is THICC 🤣
Looks like Nike zoom fly
They are dope
COSTCO PRs 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Energy blades⁉️⁉️⁉️ I mean I know what the energy rods are I think they’re genius but you better explain those blades, mr. casual Olympic sneaker wearer‼️😂😂😂
Maybe some avant-garde girls can rock these casual.

Shoe for strong ankles!
Seems this guy is obsessed with the “casual” ability of a performance shoe not made for casual activities
The Ultraboost or Pegasus models are performance shoes and are great casual shoes.
Then again carbon fibre and a 50mm stack hinders comfort that's true.
Man adidas needs design help.
there are better running shoes out there. they need a casual version of this idk why they keep making running shoes for casual use what a waste. ultra boost is outdated try something new in 2023
U literally contradicted urself
I’m no elite athlete.. so I’ll take 2 pairs please.🔥
High heels for men 😅

Sometimes.. Leave running sneakers for real reviewer. Its like watching a review of Garmin watch from tech reviewer perspective... Useless.
nobody needs these
These shoes are engineered SPECIFICALLY for running. Why buy 300 dollar shoes for casual walking. That makes no sense.
