    What is the purpose of those roof length benches that run along the line of grass on the sundecks?
    They weren't even wide enough to sit at and have some nibbles and drinks ... Also, telescopes need to be provided for watching the night sky ... and too barren up there on the roof.
    Sedona is supposed to be one of the highest spiritual vibration areas in the country, as well as Haleakala on Maui. Portals. Active night skies. Now it's become another tourist trap. And this property seems to cater to the higher end of this. Prettily lit at night. Food looked tasty! I guess that I'm not so sure the industrial look fits in with mother nature. My dream like this would be structured out of woods and rocks and boulders as much as possible! Happy trails, dear LTE!!

    Sedona is gorgeous. I love the architecture, the landscape, and the decor. However, the road noise is very distracting. I live in a city and I don't hear that kind of noise in my neighborhood. I don't like the room layout. I would prefer a wall blocking the view of the bathtub from the front door. This property is beautifully designed, but would have been better suited to a location farther from the highway. The traffic noise is something I would expect if I were paying $100 per night as a "passing through" stop. Sedona is a lovely place - curious to see if you visited other hotels in the area!

    I feel as though, I don't know exactly what they were aiming to achieve here.
    The "atriums" look better from the air view, in my opinion.
    Also, I feel as though the decor ideas don't really coincide with the outside "rustic" look, just my opinion though.☺️
    Anyway, you did a wonderful job with filming this video, as you usually do.❤

    • @brentgraef863
      @brentgraef863 Месяц назад

      Joni, all of the atriums are built on a platform so 80% of the natural landscape on the property was not disturbed. All of the streams were the pre-existing natural washes which were enclosed to create a sustainable and recycled water system. The atriums are half glass so that when you stay you have 180 degree views from inside the room and 360 degree views from the rooftop terrace.

      Yes, the decor needs some editing to say the least. I'm bothered by this mess of TJMaxx looking pillows at 6:30. And in the room, who is trying to make diagonal pillows a thing? There's just too much misplaced cheap looking decor that it took away from what could have been an industrial meets outdoor design. They should have leaned more rustic and less lux on a budget. The purple lights in the pool suits Dubai, but not a "landscape" hotel in the Red Rock desert. My say something nice is the large chime leading to the spa is nice.

      @nancyneyedly4587 Месяц назад +10

      Agreed! Right by that road?! Isn't Amangiri a landscape hotel, it opened in 2009, so before this one, so this isn't the first. Amangiri is leagues above this place, but the price reflects that. It seems like it's trying to be lux, when it should have leaned into rustic.
      And you can tell that things like the patio furnishings aren't bespoke to the hotel, or the lobby desks weren't designed with function in mind as they have some random black cabinets stuck against the window that stick out like sore thumb.
      6:31, this mess of TJMaxx looking pillows, the design choices need some editing.
      And the landscaping reminds me of a theme park with the fake moulded stones. I'm not even done the video and I am not impressed. When he stated the resort was owned by a family and not by a prominent hotel brand, it is obvious.
