Even if it’s offered, you should pay :) The hospitality is a gesture of kindness towards travelers that dates back hundreds if not thousands of years. But someone is paying for the food - whether it’s the employee or the shop owner - the money comes from someone’s pocket. I am a Westerner myself but I like to use common sense be considerate of the fact that the money goes a long way in such poor countries. People need to take care of their families and stuff like that.

Every time I go out with my friends I’ll offer multiple times to pay but it’s probably not good to just keep accepting it without them reciprocating.
