Hi! Thank you for your question. It will depend on your current setup where you will need the duct work to exit. For some, the ductwork will need to go up, then into the back wall to exit out of an exterior wall. For other setups, the duct work can go all the way up to the roof to exit at the top of the home. For either setup, you will want your ductwork to end up at an opening outside on the roof or wall to ensure maximum efficiency. Our recommendation for Hauslane units is that there be no more than 14ft of total ducting to ensure maximum airflow. - Hauslane
But you did not mention where do we get the outlet jnstalled, how far up on the wall so that the cord on the hood can reach it. My electrician wants to know before he starts installation . Thanks
CHECK BBB RATING BEFORE YOU PURCHASE. I SPENT HOURS INSTALLING AND THE CHARCOAL FILTER IS A JOKE. WON'T FIT AND CAN'T GET INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALL. THEY HUNG UP ON ME AT CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND BLOCKED MY NUMBER WHEN I CALLED RIGHT BACK. CAN'T REACH THEM = PATHETIC.
I plan to purchase this exact unit because you can swap out the light bulbs for other color temperatures to match your kitchen. I don't know why this isn't a more common feature in other brands.
Yes. It actually costs more to implement this feature. At Hauslane, we care more about the customer experience more than the costs of the product. If you have any question, you can find us on our website: www.hauslane.com.
The yellow outlet is a representation of an outlet in your kitchen. It is not uncommon to have no outlet. In this case, you would need to either hardwire the range hood or install an electrical outlet. Please have a licensed electrician to perform these works. Hauslane

I have the same range hood. Can you please tell us where is the oil cup that we need to clean regularly?
The oil cup is attached to the blower on this model!
Where does the duct work go? Is it attached to something within the ceiling? Ois it just poking up into an attic?

Great product, INSTALATION tutorial easy to follow
Glad you found them helpful!
My ceiling is at an angle, not flat. Can I cut the chimney covers so they are flush with the ceiling?
What size bit did you use for the drywall anchors?
Hi Charles, It can vary per model but I believe depending on the model we have different sizes WM 530 comes with anchors that need a 5/8 drill bit.
Do you know what this yellow outlet is called ? Where can I find ?
