I did that route as well, didn't make it up to the second Munro, got to the bealach and down, as you say very steep decent into the hidden valley. There was snow when I did it mid summer and crawled under some of it to get down onto the path.
    Fantastic day out 😎
    Good luck 🍀

What great views you got and beuatifully caught on camera. And you picked a day with some good weather. I'm currently staying in Glencoe and was hoping to tick my first Munros last Tuesday. Unfortunately I wasn't well enough for climbing the wee Buachaille as planned, but walked to the Blackwater reservoir instead. But I've climbed two Fionas, Meall Mor next to the campsite and Pap of Glencoe across from here. And I did one Corbett Beinn a' Chrulaiste. With the weather forecast I,m not sure my first Munro will be in Glencoe.

Takes me back to 2009 when I tried to summit Bidean up through the hidden valley but I kept sliding down on the bealach ascent, possibly being 20st didn't help. But a fit 20st I did do the Ben 2 days before. Great video mate. Always makes my neck tingle seeing the mighty Glen. It's a long way from Falmouth but will be up again this year for some more action. ❤

What beautiful filming. Any hills would be great in this sort of light but as you say Bidean does have something special about it. Your video in the lost valley makes me realise that it must be over 20 years since I was last in it. My first visit in the 1970s blew me away. Back then the whole valley floor was a beautiful meadow in that awesome amphitheatre. I camped there a few years later. Then sometime in the 80s there was a catastrophic flood transforming the meadow into a bouldery flat. I visited several times after that, always a little saddened. It is now looking closer to when I originally went, certainly plenty of comfortable camping spots.

Hi James, thanks so much for these videos - I'm not a massive hill walker, but found your channel a few months ago and I have watched a good percentage of your videos. Your positive attitude is infectious and the music and drone shots make your videos very peaceful to watch.
I visited the area in this video a couple of years ago but was too daunted to attempt Bidean so opted to do the smaller Pap of Glencoe instead, which still gave incredible views despite it's relatively small size! I've done a couple of other decent UK mountains like Snowdon and Hellvellyn but no munros yet, your videos have definintely inspired me to give some of them a go in the future!
I have a few questions if you wouldn't mind, I'd really appreciate if you'd take the time to answer some of them:
    - What drone do you use, and how does it perform in windy conditions?
    - Do you find that the walking poles make much difference?
    - What are your thoughts on safety whilst solo hiking? How safe is it, best precautions to take to stay safe etc.
    - If you had a to pick your favourite intermediate difficulty munro, what would you choose?
Thanks again, keep up the great work, excited to see you complete the 282 soon!

Thank you & glad you have been enjoying the videos 😁
Im using the DJI Air2s drone, a lot of people are going for the Mini 3 or 4 but they struggle with the wind, the Air2s is surprisingly good in the wind!
Walking poles are a game changer for me, fantastic for going up/down hill 😁
Solo walking is safe as long as you take the precautions, let family know your exact route, don’t ever take risk - always be prepared to turn back.. plus always pick a good weather forecast, that makes a huge difference!
I would say the best intermediate hikes are probably in Glen Shiel, long ridges but no real difficulty in good conditions, the Brothers Ridge is a fantastic walk!
      Hope that helps, Cheers, James

Spectacular video. Regaring the Munro classification, if a peak is high enough and isolated enough to deserve its own name, then I think it deserves to be a Munro in its own right! 😄

50 years since I was up to Bidean Nam Bian. A lovely day, a good hike up, and then down came the clouds, very quickly.
So got a bit lost, came down - I suppose down to Hidden Valley.
What with the rocks, the grass and moss and the fog it was something out of Ghormengast.. Just wonderful.
(I think it was that week I walked the Aonach Eagach as well; no fog that day, it was scorching hot)

Another great video, the Hidden/Lost Valley is somewhere I've always wanted to visit. I've been following your journey for around a year and have really enjoyed it. We're from Lancashire so the Munros are not something we get to do very often, but when we do we love them and your channel has inspired us to spend more time up in Scotland. It's also inspired me to have a go at RUclips myself, I'm sure I'll never get anywhere near your levels of talent but I've just published my first video and hope it will be the first of many. So thanks for the inspiration, I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy your journey as you get ever closer to completing!

Don't have the Munro numbers that you have, but this route is my favourite. Unfortunately didn't have the views that you had on SCNL and BNB as both summits were in the clag, but it was much better on SCS. However the initial summit clag didn't spoil the complete enjoyment of the day. Loved it😁!

Amazing Video James! The drone shots were gorgeous. I love Bidean as it's crazy beautiful rugged scenery but with no real exposure. I think I asked you this before and you recommended Buachaille Etive Mor as something similar to Bidean, but wondered if you had rated any other mountains 10/10 with little to no exposure. Visiting Scotland next summer and need a few new hills to climb.

what a place, you made it all look easy though, i spent most of my summer in glencoe, i'm not fit enough to make it to the tops but i got some nice footage with my fpv drone from the lochans below stob coire and on another visit i flew inside the gorge at the top of the hidden valley. stunning place, and when i was checking google earth i realised it had updated the day i was there and my little tent was visible just at the start of stob coire tucked in beneath the cliffs, i dont know why that tickles me so much but it really does.
