Great Channel Sifu! Please teach the technique you demonstrated on Kevin Lee's Channel, where you were behind him trying to "help " him up but he couldn't get up because of your technique. Thanks!

Wow, those moves are seriously nice (both as individual & combination strikes)! And great points on performing them without telegraphing & on working it into "natural" stances. The whip-hand is an interesting new idea to me (right off the bat). I was told the palm-strike is a better alternative to a punch, due to the thinness of the bones in the hand. Do you use it in your practice?

Yeah, we use palm strikes too. I had a request to put the series together, and there are so many different ideas you could use. We just figured we would start with the whip hand on this series. We are considering doing a series like this every month or so with different techniques.

Thank you Sifu Alan, very good and informative vid. If I may, I’d like to see more of Keysi Fighting Method techniques I’m at a slight disadvantage because I have no one to train with, I’m 64, and no one is into real practical self defense except me, lol don’t know why, especially in the world we live in now. But thank you once again for your time and energy making these vids. Peace.

I'm in exactly the same situation. Unfortunately we're to far apart for training😢

Thank you for the great video. Do you emphasize closed fist punching for self defense?

Any thought about strikes while seated or prone/laying?

We actually train a lot in both seated and laying positions with striking. It's great training

    Hi sifu Alan...
Is the defence Lab self defense system not being taught anymore since it's rebranding to unleash self defense?
    Random question I know.
I emailed you a while back and now I'm subscribed!.

Salutations

we start with what we call the basic shape 1 And Shape 2. Eventually, all of the shielding becomes one "living technique" that just becomes what you need at the moment. We do the triangle footwork in the weapon based systems we train.

Why are the hands placed on top of each other in the ram attack?

    • @rauldelarosa2768
      @rauldelarosa2768 Месяц назад

I believe that it's to unify the limbs and at the same time you protect the back of the head.
It's a Keysi fighting method technique.

Cordialement

This is just a basic position to introduce the idea. you can place the hands in multiple different positions around the head depending on what you are doing. We tried to keep it basic for the first few vids
