Eclipse didn't care about anyone else because deep down, he was afraid of being betrayed and abandoned again. (the old Moon betrayed him and left him behind, stuck inside Sun's head) He stopped caring about Lunar after Lunar betrayed him. (he did care about Lunar (though it was very small), he felt like apologizing after hitting him. (and he did after a day it happened.) but he was struggling with his own feelings and questioning himself of why he still cared.) it all stems from the old Moon abandoning Eclipse inside Sun's head. He doesn't want to get close or attached to anyone because he fears being abandoned again. He doesn't trust anyone, because he fears that he will be betrayed. That is also why Eclipse represses his own feelings, (even happiness) and acts as though he doesn't care.
Eclipse doesn't know how to feel loved by anyone, because he's never felt it. Probably why he. Didn't like Earth, even though she was being nice to him😢

This may be based off personal bias, but if Eclipse does want to apologize and actually get on good terms with everyone he should try and ease in by starting with an apology to sun. He is one of the only people who actually would listen, and has been empathetic to Eclipse in the past He might not forgive him, but is actually willing to give him a chance if Eclipse actually shows he wants to change (if he ever wants to)

Moon said that because of that, Eclipse was either dead, or out in the woods somewhere, but unable to move. (but alive) Sun and Moon never went out to the woods to check and see if Eclipse was there or not. This Eclipse just seems like he just doesn't care anymore. He just wants to find who remade him and why.

i think the saddest thing is Moon apologizing for him abandoning Eclipse shows how he's seeing that Eclipse is the way he is because he was never shown love before and felt so weird about Lunar liking him and trying to love him that he pushed him away, which caused Eclipse to remain alone for over 2 years after being left behind in Sun and it shows how Moon is possibly regretting his past choices, but what makes it sadder is Eclipse is still so used to being abandoned and rejected that it's near impossible for him to imagine anyone aside from Earth actually caring and wanting to do something for him out of pure kindness and free will rather than being forced.

stop that last thing moon said made me want to cry. im all cought up on the sun and moon show but I have been trying to watch every vid on this chanle as well sence it also as lore and silly moments. the first year of T.s.a.m. I hated eclipse, he could have spoken up and asked for help or something, chose to be friends. but lately iv been able to see things from his prospective, I have grown in my knowledge and I understand him now. how could he care about anyone when no one ever cared for him? how could he beleive anyone ever could care for him after everything that happened to him, and everything he has done. I used to hate that people liked eclipse and felt bad for him, but I understand now, and even though I know this moon (nexus) doesn't care like he used to here in this vid, it still hurts but warms my heart to see him expressing how he is sorry for something he honestly didn't really do. Moon at the end of this video with that apology, that made me so emotional I had to go outside and breathe. As a person who wants to be a therapist I’ve analyzed these characters a lot, and the abandonment thing is the root of Eclipse’s issue, if Eclipse heard that apology it could have gotten a ball rolling to his path of healing. “Could have” being the phrase, we don’t know for sure but it’s very possible especially with how Eclipse was before he died in Solar’s world.

Huh.. well I knew he wouldn't come in willingly, Moon had to drag him along. Solar also being the receptionist and doing the bit had me chuckle a little. Moon acting like a "parent" also had me chuckling, very silly. That sillyness aside, I didn't expect Eclipse to open up much, I just expected him to be mostly aggressive, rude and curse out at the 3. Glad they handled him well enough to deal with him though, dude certainly didn't express much care or concern for Lunar. Sad as that is to hear.. but even if he probably did truly care deep down he'd probably not say a thing about that. But the fact he did in regards to waking up out of their own body and finding it horrifying really says a lot, he actually opened up a bit and that's good progress! May not be a lot, but it's better than nothing. The ending of this though really sticks with me, Moon apologizing for what his old self did.. That really was just saddening to hear. A lot of this was caused by the old Moon in a way, Eclipse getting left behind like that definitely did a number on all of them. (Wonder what would happen if Moon did ever meet his old self.. I feel like that'd be a really big doozy of an encounter.)

Moon hated Eclipse from the moment he was born and blamed Eclipse for everything wrong with Sun. KillCode also betrayed Eclipse by becoming good and siding with Sun and Moon. Bloodmoon, his own creation/sibling tried to kill him. Eclipse wants to die. He can but he just keeps being brought back to life. He wants to die and stay dead. Everyone he cared about either died or betrayed him. In Eclipse’s death in Solar’s dimension, you can see the final moments of Eclipse and Solar Flare. When Solar flare walked off into the darkness to finally rest, Eclipse called out to him to stop him. Eclipse wanted Solar Flare to stay with him, he didn’t want to be alone again. He felt that Solar Flare knew and understood him because Solar Flare saw through his eyes. Eclipse was abandoned.
When moon stated that he was sorry for abandoning eclipse, it made me realize something. Yes, moon may know about it through sun or something else. I just thought at first, wouldn’t that be something only the old moon would know?

(and he did after a day it happened.) but he was struggling with his own feelings and questioning himself of why he still cared.) it all stems from the old Moon abandoning Eclipse inside Sun's head. He doesn't want to get close or attached to anyone because he fears being abandoned again. He doesn't trust anyone, because he fears that he will be betrayed. That is also why Eclipse represses his own feelings, (even happiness) and acts as though he doesn't care.

Moon said that because of that, Eclipse was either dead, or out in the woods somewhere, but unable to move. (but alive) Sun and Moon never went out to the woods to check and see if Eclipse was there or not. This Eclipse just seems like he just doesn't care anymore. He just wants to find who remade him and why.

i think the saddest thing is Moon apologizing for him abandoning Eclipse shows how he's seeing that Eclipse is the way he is because he was never shown love before and felt so weird about Lunar liking him and trying to love him that he pushed him away, which caused Eclipse to remain alone for over 2 years after being left behind in Sun and it shows how Moon is possibly regretting his past choices, but what makes it sadder is Eclipse is still so used to being abandoned and rejected that it's near impossible for him to imagine anyone aside from Earth actually caring and wanting to do something for him out of pure kindness and free will rather than being forced.

stop that last thing moon said made me want to cry. im all cought up on the sun and moon show but I have been trying to watch every vid on this chanle as well sence it also as lore and silly moments. the first year of T.s.a.m. I hated eclipse, he could have spoken up and asked for help or something, chose to be friends. but lately iv been able to see things from his prospective, I have grown in my knowledge and I understand him now. how could he care about anyone when no one ever cared for him? how could he beleive anyone ever could care for him after everything that happened to him, and everything he has done. I used to hate that people liked eclipse and felt bad for him, but I understand now, and even though I know this moon (nexus) doesn't care like he used to here in this vid, it still hurts but warms my heart to see him expressing how he is sorry for something he honestly didn't really do. Moon at the end of this video with that apology, that made me so emotional I had to go outside and breathe. As a person who wants to be a therapist I’ve analyzed these characters a lot, and the abandonment thing is the root of Eclipse’s issue, if Eclipse heard that apology it could have gotten a ball rolling to his path of healing. “Could have” being the phrase, we don’t know for sure but it’s very possible especially with how Eclipse was before he died in Solar’s world.

Huh.. well I knew he wouldn't come in willingly, Moon had to drag him along. Solar also being the receptionist and doing the bit had me chuckle a little. Moon acting like a "parent" also had me chuckling, very silly.
That sillyness aside, I didn't expect Eclipse to open up much, I just expected him to be mostly aggressive, rude and curse out at the 3. Glad they handled him well enough to deal with him though, dude certainly didn't express much care or concern for Lunar. Sad as that is to hear.. but even if he probably did truly care deep down he'd probably not say a thing about that. But the fact he did in regards to waking up out of their own body and finding it horrifying really says a lot, he actually opened up a bit and that's good progress! May not be a lot, but it's better than nothing.
The ending of this though really sticks with me, Moon apologizing for what his old self did.. That really was just saddening to hear. A lot of this was caused by the old Moon in a way, Eclipse getting left behind like that definitely did a number on all of them. (Wonder what would happen if Moon did ever meet his old self.. I feel like that'd be a really big doozy of an encounter.)

Now let’s analyze what Earth is getting on to as well. Earth says “I feel like something’s wrong and broken deep inside of you, and you don’t want to talk about it.” […] “I don’t mean to say broken because broken is a mean term but something hurt you and you’re covering for it by acting like you don’t care. Acting all big and bad. Did you ever care?”
From watching Eclipse’s birth to (multiple) deaths, we as the viewers can actually tell what these “traumas” are.
We know that Eclipse actually cared about Lunar at one point in time, but he was betrayed by Lunar to Sun and Moon.
Moon hated Eclipse from the moment he was born and blamed Eclipse for everything wrong with Sun.
KillCode also betrayed Eclipse by becoming good and siding with Sun and Moon.
Bloodmoon, his own creation/sibling tried to kill him.
Eclipse wants to die. He can but he just keeps being brought back to life. He wants to die and stay dead.
Eclipse feels Sun’s pain of abuse from the old Moon, that’s why he’s angrier at Moon than Sun. Eclipse had to watch from Sun’s head while Sun was verbally, physically and emotionally abused.
Eclipse (when he got the star) wiped everyone’s memories so everyone liked him. Eclipse wanted to feel loved, even though it wasn’t real.
Eclipse egged Lunar on to kill him because Eclipse was too cowardly and afraid to do it himself.
Earth is right. Eclipse does feel abandoned. Because he was abandoned. Everyone he cared about either died or betrayed him.
In Eclipse’s death in Solar’s dimension, you can see the final moments of Eclipse and Solar Flare. When Solar flare walked off into the darkness to finally rest, Eclipse called out to him to stop him. Eclipse wanted Solar Flare to stay with him, he didn’t want to be alone again. He felt that Solar Flare knew and understood him because Solar Flare saw through his eyes.
Eclipse was abandoned.
