So sad it’s the end of your backpacking season! This has definitely been my favourite series that you’ve made; it’s inspired me to camp out more this summer. Would love to hear more about your camping gear on next summers backpacking video.
Brae, you are good and pure human being. That human contact with Creg is much more important than a couple of shots. I wish more photographers think like you. I love your pictures and thank you for sharing yours experiences..Live Life with its bad and good moments Brae..Take care.
You make me miss the PNW, bro. I left about 5yrs ago. But I remember going on hikes with my dog hella early and driving for hours, just to take pictures and enjoy the amazing views, smells, sounds. You seem like my type of people, good vibes from your videos, man!
Always coming in with the best videos. Look I’m biased but come to New Zealand. Little less rona, and its an extended alpine summer to you northern hemisphere folks. A little pre or post high summer trip around the South Island is salve to the soul.
Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to fill out the survey for the community trip next year. We are going to Alaska!! We'll be doing some rafting, hiking, going on a boat cruise, camping, doing some workshops, and much more! We're going to check out Denali National Park and the Fjords of Resurrection Bay. It's gonna be a blast and I'd love for you to join me! Be sure to join the mailing list: bit.ly/3pvw3uX so you get updated as soon as the trip goes live and can snag one of the available spots! Can't wait!
Really nice composition on the video and the stills. Most people would give much thought to composing the video clip portions, but you did. I'll bet you are composing just about everything you see throughout the day, with or without a camera in your hands.
Dude your hiking videos are seriously good! I really like the reflections you were getting off the water in those photos right after you had your talk with Greg
Great video and photos, looking forward to a snowy winter hike video! The Olympus RC35 is my go to camera! Its light, compact, doesn't cost too much and very robust, so I can take it anywhere not spending a thought on accidentally braking it. And the pictures look great.
Great video (as usual) Brae! I really like what you said about enjoying the moments rather than always thinking about taking photos! And the shots you took after talking with Greg are gorgeous, maybe even better than what you might have captured during golden hour!
Top video Brae my favourite things to do go bush take photos cobble a vid of the trip together grab a burger the odd cold one then chill out watching you tube for others doing the same great set of images the RC looks cool I’ve got the 35sp it a joy to use. Your penty looks awesome far more portable than my mamiya. Idea for travel get to New Zealand mate we have everything you’ll ever need you’ll love it. 📷❤️📷
Hahaha you posted this right as I was starting to look at planning a trip to Nova Scotia next summer! Great video as always brotha - i'll def be filling out that survey!👍
this was such a cool video. great work man, very therapeutic and refreshing to watch. i lowkey feel like going on a nice hike lol with my dog now! anyway, great vid!
hey man have you ever thought about van life? you already do so well outdoors I can't imagine it being hard for you to adapt to it. Also if you were to do it, what are some essential equipment you would take with you. not camera stuff but things you take to hike and camp with?
Oh I have definitely thought about it! Just gotta get into a financial position where it makes sense to do so. As far as gear goes I go pretty minimal: REI sleeping bag, REI Quarter Dome SL1 tent, Sea to Summit Pillow, Camp light, Jetboil flash, Big Agnus sleeping pad
Awesome video as always, makes me want to go hiking in Washington, looks like a beautiful state! I am thinking at some point I may do vids of trails we have around here!
great video as always. have you thought about getting the emails from the people you photograph of on your hikes? i'm sure they'd love to see their photo - this idea might even make for a cool portrait series
@@BraeHunziker definitely! My favorite season is winter. I was up in WA a week ago. Went to visit friends. Made me realize how much I miss up there. I’m in San Diego, CA 🌞 great weather but I like four seasons
The longer exposures on the water are insane. I’m always to lazy to bring a tripod…you’ll see me putting my camera on crazy piles of rocks, my backpack and water bottle to take a self portrait. Filling out the survey right now.
Bro... How on Earth do you handhold a BMPCC 6K (PRO at that)?! AND have such a shallow dof while keeping your face sharp? I own the regular 6K but never thought of using it to film my "ventures" into the wild just because of the sheer size, weight, powering challenges, etc. The whole rig with the monitor (to be able to see myself) and all weighs in at over 6 kg
haha this one was filmed on the GH5s. I probably won't bring my 6k pro on backpacking trips, but we will see. I just did a day hike with it, vid will be out on Sunday, and it was pretty challenging. Had to bring a lot of batteries and a v-mount. Tough system to work with on long hikes 🥴
I have often found myself not taking my camera out when I see something beautiful. Or when I’m just having a genuine time. Being in the moment is worth losing that pic.
When you lack the ability to plan finances a year in advance so you tell the survey your budget is $1 to err on the safe side. 🥴 Great video as always, despite the highlights being hot on that waterfall shot it's still a dope image imo. @@gusatvoschiavon I don't know why I didn't even think of that tbh. That's alright though, I figure there's no way I'll not have at least a dollar by then. Btw, you wouldn't happen to have a dollar I could borrow would you? 👀
